I believe he is as essential in any FPL team as he is to City, pretty much the only player you can count on week in and week out at that price range. Can't say the same for others hovering around £6-7 mil..

No clean sheet point, no ball recovery point so owing a DM in FPL is not worth it tbh. Rodri is not on set pieces and only produce an attacking returns once in a blue moon.

Looking at other options you have to think about rotations in their teams, how injury prone the players are and everything else - which is not a worry with Rodri

What are your priorities? Match point or attacking returns?

Match point - Yes Rodri guarantee you that as long as he's fit to play.

Attacking returns? Don't buy Rodri he's a waste of space in your team Hhampuz!!! £6.5m can get you Garnacho and other better options.

I did end up getting Garnacho in his place, but I wanted to play with a constant 5 on the midfield, at the worst 4.

Salah has been my achilles heel a lot of times but I still couldn't see past him for this round to be honest, I would have gone for Haaland regardless they play Chelsea or not, but I really can't afford Haaland right still have the best combination I want defensively, I had Quansah, TAA and Salah from Liverpool initially but I switched to TAA, Jota and Salah in the final moments, I guess the first few weeks would determine where I'd stand with TAA, and If I should drop him at any point, that'd be it for me with him through the entire season.

I spent about 70 hours (in total) in August on drafting and reddit and reading your comments. But it seems like my team is ready.

Wow, Salah + Haaland in 1 team. Looks pretty expensive. I didn't have enough money for any of them (I don't see any point in taking Salah at all, I think he's overrated, 12.5 million is not serious). As I understand it, the main point of this strategy is to all-in on several players? Is Haaland the captain?
By the way, yes, I'm participating again, although managing fantasy is more time-consuming than making regular predictions.

Agreed if you're looking long-term. Short-term he's a great option because he's a guaranteed starter and LFC has a great opening schedule.
Saka has tough games, Foden won't be playing the first few games, Palmer is way too expensive this season, Son is decent but I want to see how him and Maddison play around Solanke now.

Salah is really expensive but offers stability, especially during times in which there is value to be found in relatively cheap mids like Doku, Garnacho, Jota and many more. Nkunku is a steal, but I'll take him a bit later.

If Klopp were still in charge I’d agree that there is no point taking Salah, but right I think Salah is the only player that can guarantee consistent 90 minutes with good run of fixtures too, I’m expecting a vintage Salah this season. Most of the premium are either having a lot of changes around them and worth it imo, I wouldn’t get Haaland right now if there is series of 90 minutes for De Bruyne even If I don’t have KDB, Haaland doesn’t influence games at all when he doesn’t score, Cole Palmer now have serious points sharing contenders and to price at that coming with no so great fixture. Son have had problems with a lot of tweaks in and out of the Spurs set up, we’ve Richarlison, Werner, Kulu, Brennan Johnson all give a little of spark then everything becomes a shit show again, Maddison would have been better if he was differential or could be worth a punt after seeing him for the first few games, except I plan on wildcard around game 5-6, I have no reason to have Palmer and Maddison or Son, if there is a perceived consistency in the first few weeks, I could easily bring one in for another.

Worst of all was when i want to change some thing before deadline the fantasy goes into mainteinance and my team was stuck in the middle of the changes.....

One thing to change for the Fantasy in the future is the ammount of players labeled as midfielders, i know doing that they make the game more dificult, but is insane the ammoun of fowards lab eled as midfielders by this game. Only number "9" are forwards for this game.

Wow, I feel honoured to be mentioned in the same breath as Trofo, CLS and frka. Balanced I'm not sure, my entire bench are just hopefuls, but yeah I see cryptofrka also loved Jota and Salah together AND we both gave up on a non-Haaland squad. I had Quansah in my team last season and I'm reading like he's playing instead of Ibou but I don't trust that.

If there's one thing I learnt from last season, it's not to do FPL on final day or even last few hours. That screwed me constantly for EURO!

I became happy when I saw my name here. However I wasn't expecting to see buwaytress here at all lol. One of the names seen above tried to trick me into making a side bet with a 50-point handicap. However thankfully I didn't fall into that trap.   I'm still feeling myself stupid for not adding Palmer to my team. However I couldn't manage to create a place for him.

You can't see anyone's squad before the matchday. This is quite fair as well. For example, otherwise the player who enters the last week as the leader would copy the squad of the player in the 2nd place.

Not finding my name there gives me some chills, especially with the fact that, I’ve got a bet with Icopress on how we going to position on the table at the end of the season.

That Garnacho miss will already hunt me in the first match of the fantasy pool. Im still shocked that someone can miss an empty net on 1-0 on such a big level of football. Really a shame plus Bruno with so many missed opportunties its a shame
