I was thinking that everyone in the pool would use free hit this week therefore I also used free hit. I'm sharing my squad for you to be able to look at it.

Congrats, cls63. Another week that I get to fumble the bag. Anytime I come close to winning a GW, someone miraculously gets the right players that tips the scale.

I assume I rushed about joining the second chance league.

Don't think you're going to win the SC so easily, I have assembled an Avengers-level squad and am going to leave it at set&forget for the season. Unless the need arises to transfer of course.

After looking at all fixtures in this gameweek, I was 110% sure the best assets to own should come from Tottenham & nothing else ..and I tune in to see what's happening in this match against Fulham only to find that Spurs is trailing by 3 goal's to nil and am wondering what's happening here???

I took a -8 points hit to bring in Romero and James Maddisson just about 3 minutes before the deadline, while I was freaking furious with a shitty internet provision for almost screwing me over (Apparently turned out they were trying to save my ass) while trying to get it done, I really had to switch my mobile network carrier at the very end to get this transfer done!

Thanks for your kind words, CLS63. I've come very close to winning the last game weeks but tough luck. It is my belief that I might hit the target in the coming weeks before the season comes to an end.

It sucks that I already used my free hit chip before this blank GW 29 was announced.

Don't know when you used your free hit but blank GW29 was a given from the moment season started. We just did not know who will blank and how big it will be.

In the end it is a big blank, usually there are more surprises in cup so we get a game or two more.

I used my free hit chip during the double gameweek in GW25. Its either I wasn't aware or completely forgot about the blank game week. I think  it was the latter. I know better now about what chips to use and when to use them.



It looks like another low scoring week. I think it would be the lowest since the start of the season? Someone help me confirm. Highest I've seen so far is 28. I'm glad I didn't user my WC to onboard spurs assets only to see them get thumped hard by Fulham.

A terrible GW for sure. How I managed to free hit and get the some of the GWs best and left them right there on the bench. Every single player on my bench right now have got more points than my entire 7 on field players to have been played combined. What rubbish! I tried to avoid this, tried to hit my bench boost chip but, it seems the FPL is played by one chip per GW.
First time I got Reguilon on my team, he gets a red card just few minutes into the game. It’s just wow what am seeing and I’m just waiting on the blank GW to just pass!
Spurs couldn’t even manage a goal. I had high hopes on them but, Fulham was just so much for Spurs to try and contend.

For main league folks, what are your plans for massive blank  in GW29? I'm stuck between using my WC or fold my hands, do nothing and risk  getting a beat-down to the sub 20s like Igebotz.  

I did nothing. And got a grand total of nothing points so far. Actually am quite amazed there are people scoring 70 points in this week.

Any advice from non 2nd-chance league players on what I should do this week to get my leg back up? I'm thinking to stay with who I got (but need to ship out two injuries if they don't recover by the weekend). Need my points and some emergency mbtc for end of season.

Always one chip per week rule, but you are gonna want to use it on GW37 anyway, trust me

FPL has some odd rules, but don't worry, everyone is entering the league with a wounded team and will take a hit in someway. Taking hit is part of the game.

I only have 8 available players in my team, and I'm fine with starting at -12 in the new league as long as I get the squad I want.

No, we're sticking to the FPL official rules - no need forcing anyone to take -20 hit. We have 2 weeks international break to rest and get back our players.

You can't peak on anybody before the deadline. After the deadline passes games goes into update mode and after about 30 minutes you can see all the teams.

Just the way game works and very fair if you think about it.

Yep its fair though but given my current circumstances of unable to get anywhere higher than 10 points on average points of the week on most rounds. I really do need some peeking to get a hint on what player to use LOL

So how many points did you get from this? I used free hit as well and yeah surprising its way lower than what I had expected LOL. I think Im just not cut out to play fantasy, dang it

it was a round that hits different, didn't used fre hit, and that was probably a good call, looking at other scores

didn't get points, but other didn't two, hopefully free hit will have better use when a lot of teams have DGW, although all those team players are already in many teams

GW29 wrapped. I didn't do anything other than bring in Maddison and Bowen on free transfers (they both returned 2 points a-piece btw) and somehow, I still managed to get above average points? I'm glad I didn't use my WC because now I can put it in a better use if I want to hyper optimize my squad for final lap of the season.

You can't judge free hit on one week result. Yeah it flopped this week but I still got a lot of it.

Without it I would have used transfers to get Maddison, Bowen, Morris and one Luton defender at least. So that is -16.

Than I wouldn't have Zabarny and Palmer week before and I would miss their points. So that is at least 40 points less if you look just GW28 and Gw29. Much more difficult to judge further implications but gut feeling tells me I got about 100 points out of it.

I would immediately take another hit now to remove some of those players...

Free hit value should be calculated over period of several weeks before and after the week it was used. And that part so far looks quite good. Not crazy enough to actually try to calculate it.
