Just as i was complaining about Semenyo, he pops up with a first half goals against Manchester United. Maybe he could get another one in the second half, that should convince me to give him more time in my team. Especially with their next game being a home one against Burnley.

However, what a first half performance that was from Manchester United. Its been a long while i saw them playing with so much desire and the applause at half-time shows the fans agree with me. Maybe they are actually back and it may be great to have their assets right now.

This was a game that already looked decided for Manchester United with how well they played in the first half and turned defense to attack. I was thinking they were going to continue like that in the second half, but Bournemouth had a working plan. Manchester United will suffer more with players going to the AFCON.

Man United turned it around from 3-2 to 4-3 and they were very pumped, just a few seconds ago Bournemouth have made it 4-4, 8 goals, Bruno and Semenyo couldn't combine for maybe 5 to 6 of those goals is what I'm very sad about, it would have done me a lot of good, especially Semenyo.

Lol… your first sentence though, clearly caught me mind way reading…

The only people we hoped to find on the score sheet and they did was Semenyo and maybe Fernandes but, with so many goals you would want to see Mbeumo right, his being the man for the job a good number of times but, lot today.

They certainly scored more goals than I hoped to see and still ended in a draw as I did hope. Collected some fair points off this and it’s indeed satisfactory I would say.

Indeed, in the first half, Man United played very well, with two headers from Diallo and Casemiro giving them a 2-1 lead. However, in the second half, United's defense completely collapsed. It took Bournemouth just one minute to equalize. In the 52nd minute, Bournemouth managed to turn the game around, making it 3-2 and giving them a temporary lead.

The match became even more tense in the 72nd minute when Manchester United regained the lead through goals from Fernandes and Cunha. This was Cunha's second goal since joining Manchester United. This goal nearly secured victory for Man United, but unfortunately, just as victory seemed within reach, the score was leveled again as the match neared its conclusion. Man United, playing as the home team, had to settle for a single point in this match. It was an extraordinary game, but this was not the outcome I had hoped for, as I had bet on a Man United victory.

You need not to name the manager, we all know who the Pep guy is, did us 4x in a row. First to get the 1k points and was almost close to breaking the 97 points barrier for the weekly challenge. I think at this pace if this manager continues he will actually break that easily. For now the best thing is to Clone this managers team or is there any bot to actually copy is team so I don’t bother doing that manually.

I am about to actually bring in Bruno and Foden, if you have them just know that they are going to blank this week

I made a radical decision by not buying Haaland again while using my wildcard many weeks ago. That didn't bring good results to me mostly so far.    But at least I started to reach 60+ points on a gameweek recently.

Woltemade is just making me regret it more. He even scored an own goal. I couldn't get what I expected from Dalot after replacing him with Munoz either. Having a Manchester United defender is a big risk of course while they are conceding a lot.

I agree it is almost non existent in football these days but you (LFC) played it against Inter. Now that you wrote this I thought I was crazy so I went googling but seems like there are others who think Liverpool played 4-4-2 diamond in that game

That was formation that was utilized much more maybe 15 years ago.

Yep we did, and on occasions you can see them when forced by injuries/suspensions/whatnot.

I'm just saying that we grew up seeing a lot of those because the '10' role was different, nowadays top of the triangle has to drop deeper into midfield.
Also - not many teams play with 2 forwards anymore, whereas it was the template before.

What I meant is that there are no teams that are set up to consistently play the diamond - this Liverpool team with 2 good strikers and Wirtz actually is one of the rare ones that could pull it off. I still think that the plan is to turn back to a single striker, and as soon as possible.

I just check my points and as always i ended up just below the average, is incredible how always i start good and in the last hurdle everyone takes more points, i still blame Mbeumo for this in this particular round, come one man your team score 4 goals and you didnt make any assits or goal, is incredible.

Heh, yeah, so glad I keep Semenyo all season long. Don't know why I still don't see FPL rating him (I just see headlines of course so maybe he does get a mention deeper down the trash). But happier I put Bruno in (to break my own tradition of never having United assets). Mbeumo, so sad. He was a staple for my squad, not this season after joining Manure.

Once more, pleased with my trajectory of consistently doing better than average.

Once more, displeased that I am not making any meaningful ground on the top people.

Just to write it here - I want to go with Wirtz so much. I will almost certainly not, so when he scores 15 points on average in the next 3 games at least I'll be able to quote this with 'I told you so'.

At one point during the day I almost made all 3 transfers - my team would look amazing with them. Seems dumb to do in this festive period where games are really coming fast though.

I hope the goal against United means he is back to his best and he would start earning points for his managers.

I don't like United assets because of how unpredictable the team can be. But in the rich vein of form they are in now, i think it makes a lot of sense to have at least Bruno in my team. I'm seriously considering that transfer.

I believe Semenyo might still remain a good hold with a lot of alternative currently out and when you look at his price tag he still have the best 2 gm fixture and is going to be nailed for 80+ minutes per game over those matches, with Foden, Bruno and Saka combination, there is the need for a few 7+ or multiple 5-6m players and Semenyo looks like the best to go for in that category, at least on paper. Rogers would have been a solid option but Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal as next 3 fixtures makes him not so worth yet even though Aston Villa are in an incredible form right now.

But happier I put Bruno in (to break my own tradition of never having United assets).

I am not part of FPL, so not sure I am allowed to reply here, I do not even know what an "FT" means, but it is 100% certain he starts this weekend alongside Saliba.

I should join this next season, everyone in it always seem hyped about their team.

Two great incoming fixtures before the Chelsea game, but the only challenge is he's already on a 4 yellow cards - just one more before GW20 . We're at risk of losing him for one GW but he's worth the risk at the moment. Still going to keep him regardless.

Yup, a tricky one. I want him, but if he gets a yellow vs Burnley he misses Brentford, after which it's Chelsea and Arsenal.
So, basically, if he gets a yellow vs Burnley he's a sell immediately.

Still, I like him. He might also get sold to Liverpool

100%, nobody else is even fit.

It’s obvious Arsenal would be loosing their entire backline real soon but, it’s better they deal with these situations now than at the end of the league when playing catch up would be next to impossible with the title within grasp.

I have a lot to do with my team this GW and my 5 FT still stands, just hope time doesn’t catch up with me before I’m able to use it.

Might just as well get Ekitike right back in my team, his obviously the key to Liverpool and him scoring isn’t up for question.
