He played 70 against Ipswich, so even full 90 today doesn't exclude him from starting vs Everton.
He's our in-form striker, he started the last 10 or so league games, I think he plays 70+ during the weekend.

I'd still like him to be subbed off after 50-60 minutes today.

I am even more baffled by Robertson and Tsimikas both in first 11  I expected Gakpo to get one half as a captain with youngsters and Robertson to get the other half as a captain. I watched Slot in a conference say that the result from the games today doesn't matter to him and that he was focused on making sure some other players in the team have some experience playing in case they have injury problems later and these players have to fill in.

Duran is out of Villa but don’t forget that they have a new striker Malen who they just brought in from Dortmund,  so Watkins still has no assurance of playing full time. If this new striker performs well when the opportunity is given to him ,he may be given more time to play.

The Everton game have drawn several attentions here, especially with Gakpa and having to star in the UCL just yesterday but, the Everton game as I see it is scheduled for 12th of February. That’s more than a week away and gives Gakpa enough time to get his tired axx up and running. Perhaps that date is wrong but, it’s what I see at this time.
