It might be true that Guardiola knew this was inevitable and decided to distance himself before the controversy became the biggest scandal in Premier League history. He really should have distanced himself from Manchester City years ago but he stayed in his job, he will be unable to escape the scandal though no matter how much he tries as much of the success occurred when he was manager.

I genuinely believe this is a seismic event in football history and Manchester City have no idea how big this moment will be for them. The repercussions of cheating over a decade including falsifying accounts, tax matters, making under the table payments and using £830 million to circumvent the fair play rules and buy the best players in the process.

I have been thinking about this Manchester City incident after watching Rio Ferdinand say he is expecting a golden medal in his cabinet soon. I was like, you mean if any tittle is stripped Manchester city, their players will return the medals; is it so?

If it's so, Manchester city is at risk of facing lawsuit even from their individual players who already recorded those trophies in their archive. What is coming might be bigger than Manchester city to handle.

There is no chance they will be stripped of past titles or relegated to the Championship. Underlying all this drama are political factors and the significant loss of broadcasting revenue that would occur if Man City were to leave the Premier League.

I don't think that they will lose the titles but I also think that it won't be just financial. I can see them being hit with a huge points deduction which would basically keep them out of Europe.
They can probably hit them with successive 30-point deduction seasons, in which all of their top players would leave and they'd have to rebuild fully, this time according to FFP.

I also think this will annoy their owners, so I would not be at all surprised if they just sell the players and abandon ship - leaving City without money to compete further.

Exactly, people mistake Chelsea contract amortisation strategy to frauds, people may not understand this but it's the only legal way to sign bunch of players without actually breaking FFP or PRS rules  and I see a lot of clubs implementing this strategy soon. It's the future of football business..

Mmmmm is strange because i support your claim by one side since we have quite some good games between the actual top tiers national teams in the A league of this nation league but also maybe is because since is so long we started to get used to it. But i dont really know my opinion in this matter is completely biased since i dont like international football at all compared to the normal one.

Aside of that, is gonna be a big headache for all of us to build a team for this comeback in fantasy.

While I agree with you that there probably chances of financial breeches by this clubs I do think they will be really difficult to get caught and the reason is that since the early days they were the clubs who were getting the league biggest sponsorship deals and also generating high revenue and it’s on this that PSR is looked into. So it really looks like clubs like Manchester United can spend upto billion in 10 season. Everyone would definitely believe that it’s their generated revenue.


This international break really had some great fixtures most especially in the UEFA nations league and I think that was the purpose of the competition to help curb unnecessary friendlies.

But still I am team let them cancel the breaks when the season is on and all international games should be after the season ends

But i dont really know my opinion in this matter is completely biased since i dont like international football at all compared to the normal one.

I did not follow the international football, I don't know why I was uninterested. Although, I wanted to watch Ronaldo and Zidane as a new coach of France, but I later lost interest when I learnt Ronaldo left the Portugal camp prematurely.

I agree that there were beautiful fixtures, but I didn't watch nor enjoy any... Weekend football should just return

Konsa is a stay for me. I have 3 transfers I can count on, and with Pedro and Palmer still yellow and not knowing the latest info, I'd rather look for fixes there than in defense. Good thing I don't have many Brighton players, so nothing to worry about except the Palmer/Pedro situation. I'm even considering using 4 transfers and taking a minus point hit to maybe squeeze Raya in if I decide to sell Konsa.

I share the same sentiment with Paco, while probable injury does make Konsa situation tricky, I’ll not be bothered on a wildcard, I’ll just take him out for Raya instead that’s actually safer longer anyway, and if not for the 3rd Arsenal slot that’s important not to waste, I would also be pretty fine with Konsa on the bench at his price.

I think Palmer and Joao Pedro should be fine by now, If no one else breaks a leg tonight, my team should be good enough for the coming round, I won’t be jumping on any of the guys just returning from international breaks, especially the ones that would be playing again during midweek with CL/EL all resuming, no way the likes of Haaland, Saka amongst others for instance plays 90 minutes this week, so chasing fixtures for this week is pointless to some extent. I’m more concerned about making the right captain choice for this week, it’s going to be important.

I dont know in the app since i dont use it, but i have that issue some time ago in the web i dont know why bu that was happening to me and was super annoying like you said, for example i also got loeged out when i change to the FPL Challege and had to relog-in, and damn was a complete shit.



After this last batch of games from the international break im gonna take a look to my fantasy team i hope not to see a lot of red and yellow colours in my players.

- I'm keeping Konsa, he's been brilliant so far and unless Saliba is back I don't see any real competition - White and Timber will rotate at RB.

- I'm sticking to Kinsky and Verbruggen combo for the rest of the season; two premium gk for 9m only >>> Raya + one bench gk.

- Gross stays- there's literally 2 best players in every position in that team; they can survive those injuries.

- I added Enzo Fernandez to my watch list - he's trying to statpad assists record with Halaand.

I will still be locked in on Gross; he is key for Brighton; most attacks go through him.

With the UAE threatening the UK on the Manchester City issue, I don't think City are going to be getting the severe punishment we expect.

It was actually clear even before the injury to Mosquera that Konsa would walk more easily into the starting eleven and he got that I will say much easily due to the Mosquera injury and I am confident this will remain like this. Because if there is something that Arteta doesn’t do much is rotation most especially in the defense and the Midfield, except Saliba comes back ha can continue with this line up until the end if he has that opportunity.

So Konsa is the best option for me and he even boast of DEFCON

For Gross I think those of us who got him late have no other option but to hold after spending that much, he some of those players that look like they will be the biggest revelation of the season, then De Cuyper will also keep his place I think until Mitoma or Mintey come back to full fitness

I have Halaand and Gvardiol for City and due to even rotation risk I am thinking of sticking with just this two. Most of the midfield options like Cherki, Enzo, Semenyo or even foden faces rotation risk or lesser minutes if the squad is all back to fitness. I am not actually concentrating on this charges for now
