• One less important suggestion to add a list in your OP of which participants have paid already to have an overwiew.
• And one suggestion regarding our Google form: do we really have to log in all the time in our Google account? Google has an option to disable it, where we can fill out a form and don't need to log in every time. Would save us some time and also from a privacy perspective because Google accounts are very difficult to create. Maybe we can disable mandatory log-in from an Google account?

I thought about no-account signup but it's then possible to submit multiple entries... and even for someone else to submit on someone else's behalf.

We could add a rule in our OP that only the first eligible entry will count in case of multiple submissions.
And for fake submissions, we could add a part in the form, where every participant will have to submit a (6-digit) personal code (like trading password), only known to you (column will be hidden in the final table). If there's a dispute for a fake submission, we could spot any fake submission easily.
Of course, if it's too much work to change now, I'll accept either outcome if there is a concern for non-Google account form.

It's always requesting a mobile number for verification here, sometimes I've had a VPN connection where it's not requested but only in 1 of 20 cases or so.

The official season starts tomorrow with Match day one and we should all put our predictions in since today as we risk to forget to put our picks because life is really fast and one things leads to another that we maybe only remember to put the picks after the game have started tomorrow night.

- Hiding columns won't show interesting info either and allows users to make a copy of the sheet and attempt to steal hidden data. Unlikely but who knows, eh? I'll make the sheet available soon after deadline passes so it won't be a terrible delay. joker_josue advises this is also safer. Let's see what we can do in future.

Nope, there's an option where you restrict downloading of the spreadsheet. Try downloading the BSFL one, you'll see you can't do it.

I'd tell you the exact steps but can't access Sheets at work (it's blocked), if you can't find it shoot me a DM or TG msg and I'll guide you through it when I come home.

Just left my picks for both the Superbru pool and the Google form and I must say that I really like the additional format.

I was quite sceptical at first, that it might be too time consuming, but honestly it only takes a few additional minutes to add the odds-based picks.

Very good job @buwaytress! Can't wait for the Champions League season to begin! Good luck everyone, I am sure it will be a tough season once again.

It's great to be back! I sent in my superbru and google form selections. I love that part of the pool, wish someone would come out with that format for a new tounument, I remember how the BSFL was created and it was similar to something like this, I believe if the Pool B gets more attention it will become an independent pool one day or soon. I went with only three teams, hoping to gain 22 points in return for my ten points. (For the time being, the teams are being kept hidden.)

I know about these services but unfortunately I've wasted quite a lot of time to try tons of these services and tons of numbers just to know in the end that either all limits are reached for a certain number ("this number is not allowed to enter as it has reached max limit of created accounts") or the confirmation SMS just never arrives. I've wasted so much time for this BS. I've had a polish site once (it's not active anymore), where I've created a few Accounts and sometimes Google doesn't request a number, so I've an Gmail Account available for this Contest and I'm set, even when it will be required to sign up from Gmail.  
I'll submit my picks later today.

I just recently used that free SMS service for first time and then couple of more times since it worked really well. First number I choose worked every time and I had to wait maybe 2 minutes to get confirmation SMS. Did not even know they existed before but now I don't have any problems using them in the future whenever there is need for phone verification.

Already can't wait to hear Champions league anthem. It's good to see that some top matches like Milan - Newcastlemoved to early slot and not everything will happen on same time. Later P$G - Dortmund game looks most interesting, but I will follow it on second screen only because I will watch easy walk on park of Barca against Antwerp.

I can relate. When I play in almost all football predictors, I have little fear to miss or forget something. Sometimes it's easy to forget when there is multiple platforms like Superbru, Kickitip and Goggle forms is used.
So, already submited pot B questions, made predictions on Superbru, answered Newcastle promo general questions. While BSFL and Newcastle 1st round questions is yet to do, but will complete it later tonight.

I think you can do both. Because that makes it easier in all scenarios.

I like the idea with different pools. Makes it even more fun. Was a bit sceptical at the beginning but the Pool B looks like a lot of fun.

I had some time to look into the google forms and really, this odds-based format has its own charm! Where are you pulling the odds from? Rollbit?

I have read the thread here a day or two ago and saw that cryptofrka posted that it could be smart to bet all 10 points on Manchester City. I was trying to figure out how to approach this from a game theory point of view. I mean if someone goes rogue and puts all 10 points on an outsider and hits odds of say 7.00 with 10 points staked, well, there isn't much to stop that lucky bastard afterwards from winning the round.

It reminds me of these guys going all in with pocket deuces three times in a row, doubling up three times and thinking it was the exact right move because they have the chip lead.   But this is exactly what makes this format so much fun. I think we will see a wide range of different approaches here. The exciting thing here is that even the last in the table wouldn't really be dead two rounds before the competition finishes because there is always this lucky shot, going two times for an outsider, all or nothing.

Well thought out @buwaytress and sharing the pot in A and B is the perfect choice because this gives us now a great opportunity to play around with this format. It also has some great potential for creative ideas in the seasons to come.
