Hey guys, am I the only who noticed some discrepancies in POT B spreadsheet, I mean some players used more than 10 points, e.g: @Entebah, spent around 50 points or thereabout, I wasn’t calculating properly and @Omikifuse for instance made a mistake by not allocating their points appropriately, he had 8 points on 1 game and for the 2nd game they didn’t put in any stake points, but since the max is 10 we can easily presume that’s 2 stake points for that, however according to the rules that states that users can decide not use all their points even though unused points can’t be brought forward, it could also be counter argued that he didn’t stake on that game right, since this is just like a sportsbook you selecting the right team and not placing the bet with a particular amount wouldn’t get you paid.

We can choose to be very lenient since this is the first round, I didn’t check mine to see if I didn’t make mistake too, but I remember before submitting I had to triple check manually so as not to exceed the 10 points max, incase there is no auto point limitation, especially due to the fact that I had pick a lot of teams to stake on.


The purpose of this post is ask if there be a way to ensure users can’t submit if their total points used is more the allowed, and a warning post informing them of the total used point if they didn’t use up to 10 points, that unused point are not being carried forward, so as to prevent these errors going forward, because we are very all aware of our delicate this pool can be being an odds based / risk-reward pool.

That’s quite evident that you probably didn’t read the rules or didn’t understand it properly, there might be other people with one mistake or the other too, I didn’t check for every participant, I just happened to have been on the right row and/or column at the time to have noticed both issues that I made mention of.

I was very indecisive when I made a choice in the Sevilla-Lens match.I chose Sevilla's win by combining Lens's bad run as well as Sevilla's performance in the league and its performance in the European Cups, but Lens managed to get 1 point away from an experienced team like Sevilla despite going badly in the league.That's why I preferred 2-1 as the score, but it was Sevilla's performance that misled me.I think he should have at least won this match at home if he wanted to get out of the group in the top 2 against his out of form opponent.If you can't beat an opponent at home when they are out of form, it's impossible to have much success here because I can easily say that both Arsenal and PSV are in better form than Sevilla at the moment.

I choose the same,I got for Sevilla 2-1 as I thought the Spanish Liga is stronger than French Ligue 1 and since both teams are in very bad performing ways most likely Sevilla who is also playing home should have done better than that and won the game.I doubt they will get easily out of the group here as Arsenal showed great performance and most likely they will be top spot while for the second one it is a completely wide open fight.For me though the highest chances are with PSV going second despite their disastrous defeat in London in yesterday game opener,they have a more solid team and more experience in such competitions.I know for sure last place though here,it is going to be Lens.

I forgot to make my picks for the second round of the midweek fixtures.  :/  I wanted to do it last minute before the matches start but got a bit busy irl.  If I make my picks and not lock them, does Superbru take those picks and locks by itself?  I prolly might start doing that.  Kicking myself right now.

Edit:  Looking at the scores and thinking what I would've predicted, I don't think it would've made a huge difference.  Lolol.

By the way, I see that you received a point for Napoli’s victory - you see, even without making a prediction, you received a certain number of points since Superbru counts the unmade prediction as the pick of a favorite.
But in any case, it is better to make predictions in advance and not press Lock - if you change your mind, you can change them, and if you forget, at least your deliberate picks will remain.

Not exactly, I just use them as data input. For instance I like both to score on a game where odds are quite high for that market, maybe around 2. And I am not sure if I am viewing the game wrong or bookies.

Then I lock my pick and check what others picked. If everyone went for results like 2:1 or 1:2 or scoring draws, it is perfect confirmation of my decision and I place the bet. If I see a few of 0:0 picks I either drop the game or maybe lower the stake. All depends on who is making the picks as well as well a bunch of other parameters, like how certain I was in outcome to begin with.

The bet is a loss, so doesn't matter. I put 2 points in the ML, I just forgot to select the stake option, take a look in the spreadsheet again.

Over 80% of users filled in the sheets without mistakes. Pretty good eh? Some comments to help us do this quicker next time:

- Some users marked matches and selected points but didn't select the "Stake" tickbox. We still count them. This was to make our job easier, but it's ok. Try to remember next time Remember, tickboxes and selection radio buttons can all be unselected (simply click on them again). seek3r, royse777, rohang, Omikifuse, jayce, casperBGD, Mahdirakib, goodpunt you can say thank you for points given
- Some users selected odds whether or not they staked points. No need for that (no harm done anyway).
- Some users marked matches by selecting the "Stake" tickbox but failed to choose the amount of points. These matches were disqualified.
- Some users entered more than 10 points. We count only the first 10 points. This is because we note that it can be difficult to keep track but in future if we see a significant deviation, we can choose to disqualify. entebah was a big offender here, attempting to stake over 50 points. Why, entebah, why??

At the moment, not possible for advanced functions like calculating points in your bank -- if we switch to a more advanced form, it'll require people to create accounts and well, Google is at least semi-anon.

The fix we have is to count the first 10 points, ignoring all selections after that.

How embarassing for me. I tried to use buway inspiration and lost a lot as this first 16 games more r less went favorites way, I think Trofo had the best tactic. Put everything on sure winner. Do it every round and it should be fine. But vd309 well done man. In the first game too!!

Superbru equally bad, I feel like really far behind now...

I see him just like a little version of Mbappe, he's got the skill set, however being able to keep is emotions in check, when things aren't going his way is a necessity I believe that he would really need to work on, he's still got a whole career ahead of him, and Barcelona could be the last chance saloon for him (I mean in terms of big a club in Europe).

United kind of shocked me especially that they managed to get 3 goals against Bayern..from their own backyard,  guess Bayern is still trying to put their act together otherwise this should have been a 6-1 beating.

I've done great on Tuesday games, but on Wednesday my performance was very average. Teams that disappointed me most was Galatasaray and PSV. I didn't counted on PSV chances to win, but expected close game and that they won't be destroyed 4:0. Galatasaray with squad was heavy favorite, but they were down 0:2. Comeback on last minutes and taking draw 2:2 was impressive, but draw at home isn't good result.
Sevilla - had bet on them, but in general, not surprised. Typical Sevilla, doing shitty in Champions league and then relegating to Europa league. Benfica loss is upset, it's heavy influence of their terrible start yesterday and early red card.
Haven't checked Pot B results, it's not displayed properly on my phone.

Anyway, Damn Im so bad that Im almost at the bottom on the very first round lol. Im not sure if Im just bad at this or Im just unlucky on the first round because two players actually managed to get 5 exact scores out of 16 games which is pretty impressive
