Haha ok ok I got it, I wasn't pressuring you don't worry. Just sort of excited in a way. Like I said, everywhere else is going down the drain. Barca also not getting any luck while selling our future for cheap. I guess Champions League is the only consolation for the fans if we play well there.

Looking forward to other things on the side tho. The playoffs should be fun to see City and Real

Thank God many games have really turned deadly and now the opportunity to bet on the Champions League is back. Even against the backdrop of City's results in the Premier League, many of the Champions League games looked like a clown show. I hope the teams were able to reorganize and now we will see less randomness.

I've just submitted my picks, it's high time I start taking some risks before playing catch up becomes an uphill task, I think there are better risk that could be worth putting some staking points, and I hope I don't fold and go for my usual conservative pick when I review my decision before the round gets underway.

Great! Thanks for the ping, I'm entering all my picks now, but will probably change it towards the date. I'm like @Harkorede, I should take more risks. I remember picking 'safe' picks like Barca which at 2x looked like good value and then they still lost. Might as well throw caution to the wind and go for the Overs. I think 0-0 is not happening much now because all teams need points at this stage. Go Barca!!

Returning to say about Manchester City, which yesterday won in the Premier league not necessarily in the champions league, this will be a moment of struggle for PSG at home in order to get to the playoff zone if it fails of course it will be easily eliminated in this round.

Now i had picked my choice, i dont do so much research and i let my insticts be the main driver, so lets see how it ended, in the POT B i went more agressive, and i dont try to secure anything, i need the points.

I’ve had to go for some long odds plays in Pot B to try and make up some ground on the leaders. I feel like aiming for average rounds, like 10 points or something just is not enough.

Let’s see what happens but looking forward to a couple of nights of CL football regardless. Hopefully Slot makes quite a few changes. We are close to mathematically guaranteed a place in the last 16 now so can afford to rest a few like Salah, Gravenberch, VVD etc.

Just entered my picks in the Pot B pool and I did go for what I am going here, an all or nothing approach, got for a lot of over 5.5 or over 6.5 goals, if I remember correctly I did pretty well in the last round and so I am going at it again. Honestly I don't like some of the choices which are really not with any sense  from the question makers, how can you make Real Madrid vs Salzburg an under 1.5 goals, that is going never to happen no matter if they play 100 times against each other, anyway none of my concern just letting it here so for next time maybe it will be fixed. In Pot A what do I care I just enter my predictions and that is it.

Well mathematically if you could aim like 14 points per round on average then you would be in top 5 by now. Its probably not enough to win the top spot as I think someone will always be lucky when hitting the high odds bet but yeah aiming for the average is actually a good method as well

We have a lot of sayings about eating, but not really about risk. I know the Chinese have sooo many things to say about it as well as the Indians tho

For me, I don't see myself as having any chance in Pot B, I would need big stroke of luck to win something. Like @arallmuus says, you actually just need average of 14 points OTOH I'm in 5th place in UCL so I have to take a slight risk, but in the end I'm going to go safe and hope I strike big on exact scores!

It's so strange to have Champion League in January. Usually you expect to see playoffs after winter break somewhere in the middle of February, but now it's just group phase. I left my picks in both. I'm somehwere in the middle of Pot B, but still went with boring picks. It's just not my way to go all in.
