I really should have been more radical in my choices this round.
Because I made conservative and even realistic predictions, and even so I managed to lose all the choices and suffer a penalty.

One of my main problems was that last minute of Benfica-Barcelona. Benfica had everything it needed to win, and ended up losing.

I used to waste big points for nothing, but when I see the leaders this round, I guess they are the daring ones.

Its one of the strategy to get ahead of everyone else. We will always have some players that will bet like this until the very end of this tournament so yeah eventually few players will be lucky with their bets though. I personally think this will only be effective on group stage, once we get to the next stage then variances like this would most likely stop

Well to be honest if I went with the picks I had in mind I would have lost it anyway. I thought there would be big goals in Bayern game, and I thought it was gonna be Celtic game that was 0-0, and actually if not for the freak own goal, that game was scoreless.

It's a strategy for sure, but its almost like killer strategy as you can see from most of us with penalties. Sure the points are big, but the odds are suitable to demonstrate how hard it is to pick. And then, which upset is possible? You only have 10 points, 1 point everywhere doesn't work, like I found out

Next stage you are right tho, I think playoff might still see big odds, but after that, every team plays careful. 0-0 is more possible than Over 6.5.

In the preliminary playoffs there will be several potential pairs where the total over 6.5 will be quite realistic, for example, Bayern - Celtic or Real - Brest. There will also be surprises in the 1/8, but at this stage the pairs will be more even and in general the teams will play more reservedly - why score a third goal if you can play safely? Therefore, betting on 0-0 would be a more reasonable pick.

Pretty bad round for me, went from the 1st spot down to 6th. I blame the winter break for this. 

It could have been much worse though, if I weren't lucky enough to guess the exact results of Arsenal-Dinamo and Slovan-Stuttgart games so I am still not that far from the top.

Don't jinx me. I'm surprised to get that haul on day 1 too, nothing arrived for day 2, missed the flurry of goals (4 in 10 minutes) from PSG, good opp there. I love my wooden shoes, and spoons. They are very useful.

One of my main problems was that last minute of Benfica-Barcelona. Benfica had everything it needed to win, and ended up losing.  

The current average needed to break into a top 5 place is still only 12.5 points. If you pick a bit safe, you could get just about that for 10 stakes on over/unders ... Interestingly, if the top 3 get penalties, they'll lose 5.5+ points. And those stack too, so they will have to start playing safe at some point. Of the top 10, only 3 have not suffered penalties.

Exactly my thoughts! I was really expecting a draw from Juventus but I thought it would be 1-1. Imagine my feelings - I guessed a rare and not at all obvious outcome but got only 1.5 points. Overall it was a good round for me but I made 3 bets on total over 6.5 and 7.5 and at the last moment I refused the Benfica - Barcelona game so I am actually very disappointed.

This one was actually pretty close and I'd love to watch Barcelona lose but honestly betting wise picking Benfica to win against Barcelona was quite wild, atleast for me. If the given odds were around 5-6x then its quite reasonable for few players to try their luck on this but for 3x odds thats pretty wild

Imagine if you had 4 points on no goals Club Brugge - Juventus. That would have been massive. I only had 1 point on them, that was my biggest regret for the round. Im not even sure why I decided to put only 1 point there when I was pretty sure that game had the potential for 0-0

Total disaster for me and only 1.3 points earned this time, this is my worst round in Pot B this season
At least I didnt get 5% point deduction, and I performed OK in Superbu pool, but that is not enough for me.
Please remind me not to trust Man City ever again this season, they collapsed so quickly after scoring first two goals against PSG.

The chances end up falling because of the history, not so much because of the moment. Or because of the greatness of the club.

In Benfica's last home game, against Barcelona, ​​Benfica had beaten Barcelona 3-0.

Trying isn't just enough, man needs to cut off the emotions and stand with my first picks because it's hurting my points. I'm still far off in the other pools and we still have a long way to go, so the position now won't matter in weeks ahead especially when the point gaps aren't that large to give me a better leverage.

I'm not gonna lie, the new format has made the competition more exciting. I can only imagine how the last game week is going to be intense for teams looking for playoff/outright qualification. By the way, maybe this question was discussed, but I want to clarify - in Pot B the number of possible picks will not decrease as we get closer to the final? I mean, we have a lot of games and a few options now. Should we increase the number of options as the number of games decreases? So that we can choose a lot of things for the final, including exact score, etc.? In this mode, the fight for prizes would be hot until the last minute of the final (while on SuperBru everything will be clear much earlier).

It is one of the worst feelings when you expect a strange result you have the balls to put that result as a pick and you earned so little just because it is a non exact one, or worst when you know a big team is gonna strugled against a weak one and you went with a tie and the weak team ended up winning and you collect nothing.
