As Barca fan I'm really happy about the draw. Not understimating opponents, but Benfica and then Borussia/Lille is best what you can get in such stages until semifinal. And it will be interesting to see local rivalries like Madrdi derby or Bayern - Bayer facing each other on international stages.

To be honest, it looks more like the Europa League than the Champions League. To put it mildly, it's a strange path all the way to the semi-finals.
As for pairs with national teams, this is pure crime, too early stage, it is not serious. By the way, both pairs have pronounced draw tendencies, i.e. it may also be boring.

We have a short break in Champions League, and road to Munich is going to continue in March 4/5 and 11/12.
Only Inter Milan is left to represent Italy in this competition, and they are not going to have easy work to win in next rounds.
Final match is schedule for May 31 in Munich.

How won't they have an easy game when they're playing against Feyenoord who are 3rd in Eredivisie while inter Milan are 1st in Serie A. Not trying to say the league tournaments that both teams are playing will determine who gets to advance but I'll be putting my money on inter Milan all day. The round of 16 is going to be a little tougher than how the rest of the group stage games has been so far. The champion league is gradually taking sharp and soon we'll get the features we have being waiting for. Inter Milan won't loss this one, seems the both teams don't have the best of form so Feyenoord chances of defeating inter Milan isn't much. Funny but if Feyenoord defeats Inter Milan then it means they knockout the both milans.

Even without you saying it buwa, these are very possible wins, and all of them look good for BTTS. However in Bayern game the last time they met, I remember very well it was 0-0. Both teams ended up cancelling each other out, so I feel the BTTS option in this case makes it unattractive.

PSG also are rightly the favorite. It's home in Paris. Such a different team for both sides who met the last time, but similarly, you guys just have to nullify Dembele and they have to nullify Salah, but I think like @KTC this is where it ends at least until Anfield visit. Don't get me wrong, I prefer Liverpool here but PSG are crazy form right now!!

Depends on where you are in Pot B If you are a hopeless case like me, it is about all or nothing with every single pick. Haven't had a look yet what buwaytress is offering us in terms of special odds, but it will be another Kamikaze round for me.

Still the game is going to be quite a big deal for German football fans. Bayer beat Bayern in the DFB Cup already. What a disgrace it would be for Bayern and what a delicious defeat it would be for Leverkusen is they are the ones to go to the next round. And by the way I think if this happens, this would catapult any potential future salary for Alonso as a Bayern coach into unseen spheres in German football. For Alonso it is about more than "just" going to the next round in the Champions League. This is really kind of the Spanish clasico in Germany now. Over are the Dortmund times.

I believe it's even harder to score points now, there are no straight ML to go for now like in the early rounds, it is all about handicaps now, for even conservative decisions the easiest way would the Overs and Unders which are equally tough to navigate due to the stage the competition itself has gotten to now.

I wouldn't bet on either to win because it's just too tough in terms of goals or both teams scoring.

This is the exact same scenario as the first clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid. City were showing signs of recovery, and Real was dropping points. And City was playing at home, so they were quite big favorites. I recall Real was 3.8x to win.

Easy money in the end, you shouldn't ignore the quality first of all, but also the way they have been playing in Europe.

PSG is still at a disadvantage in this stage, while Liverpool look so focused and got through undefeated in 5 tough games in 15 days and now have rest. I agree 100% Liverpool is actually underrated here.

The home/away games were the biggest sadness for me, it was and is always special to get revenge at home, sure we get it in the KO stages but that just takes away the magic for half of the tournament participants (Bologna would have loved to host Liverpool as they never did before, for example).

This also, a shame. Country protection isn't just about reps, it's giving fans a different team to see theirs play against.

Home advantage. It's why when I see even odds in football, I favour the away team. Markets bet heavily on home, so the odds adjust to that. That said, in EPL, home advantage wins has never been at its lowest point (minus the Covid season, which cemented the idea of home advantage). Partisan support is becoming more globalised I guess.

Finally! Someone gets it like I do. I know my opinion is a biased since I'm a Liverpool fan but I've watched Liverpool play all season and a couple of PSG gsmes (in the UCL) which is why I think it's wrong to  underrate Liverpool here even PSG has been solid themselves.

The only caveat to this is that PSG will go on very hot since they're playing at home to secure the early victory because they know they'll have little to no success doing that at Anfield.

Ok now we are on the same page. I admit and didn't get your point at first, but I am someone too who deeply hates it how Atletico Madrid destroys the game for every football who watches it once they score the leading goal. It is horribly bad how they play then and can't be compared to the clasico because players like Messi and Iniesta and everyone else in that team wasn't stoppable by these foul plays. That was an exciting time. But Atletico is the one team that exaggerates in all regards when it is all about destroying the game instead of playing the game. It sucks, agreed.

That is why I am hoping for a heated back and forth, but it could well be what you are anticipating so to say.
