To be fair, over 2 games PSG deserved to go through. Painful to admit, I felt we'd nick it at the end of regular time but didn't happen - great game by Alisson in Paris and equally by Donnarumma in Liverpool.
As a footballing fan, I have to say I love PSG's team. They are technical, direct, diverse in possession and compact in team press. They are a joy to watch and I hope they go on and win it.

High tension game for full 120 minutes and I guess Alisson was caught surprised by that. I guess he wasnt really expecting the first penalty taker to shoot like that. Penality is not how harder you kick it, it's about putting the goalkeeper at the wrong direction or at least few seconds late towards the direction of the ball- Nunez is never good at anything and putting him on the list was a mistake on Arne Slot part.

There are players on our team that if you put them on the PK list I would lose hope even before they kicked the ball- Jackson is one of them..

Sure, some players have the skill that's needed to wait for the goalkeeper and place the shot. A lot of them do not.

In a penalty shootout of such importance, if you're not one of the rare players with the needed skill, just shoot the damn ball anywhere with enough power to trouble him.
Don't give the goalkeeper the chance to embarrass you by being better at the waiting game, which a lot of people do nowadays. Nunez's penalty was bad but what Jones did is a disgrace.

Nunez penalty was not good, I wouldn't say it's bad. The best are always Salah and Kane. Strike hard, and aim high and for the corner. It means sometimes you miss but it also means even if keeper guesses right either its too far away to save, or too powerful to block.

I had to rewatch both penalties, and I believe Jones' PK was tactically better (the double movement) to Nunez's - any goalkeeper could easily see where Nunez was putting the ball based on his body movements, but it would take a very good goalkeeper to block Jones' PK.

BTW how did Allison not saved that Vitihna's PK? The ball was literally rolling slowly in his direction.

And now Real knocked out their toughest opponent - Atletico. Yes, Real always beats them in the Champions League, but it always happens with great difficulty.

If the goalkeeper interferes with the penalty kick with a violation, then of course the penalty kick must be retaken.

Dortmund or Lille was actually the best draw we could have gotten, first it was Benfica, we couldn’t have asked for an easier path, but it’s gotta get tougher in the semifinals right, Bayern or Inter is only about fair enough, and I don’t mind either of them to be honest, we’ve played Bayern earlier this season and it was brilliant win for us, there is nothing stopping is from repeating it.
