As a Liverpool fan that have had many "hala Madrid" humbling moments in my lifetime, I'm inclined to agree with you. As much as I don't like to see arsenal win, I was much more satisfied with Madrid being humbled by a team most would consider below their standard especially in the UCL where Madrid have dominated over the years. I was impressed to say the least!

Not to worry, I was shitty this round in both pots. I backed the OGs to win it and both of them failed me. This year's UCL is looking like the underdogs year — PSG and Arsenal that have never won it, look very likely to win it.

This was the best Gunners performance I've seen in a while as they controlled and locked Real Madrid down.
I predicted the game would be tight in goals but I was wrong.
Last but not least, Arsenal should not let their guard down in leg 2 as Madrid can always steal a march.

What we just see today, Real Madrid losing a game because of free kicks in Champions League? And not only one, TWO goals from that way.

The second one for me is one of the best freekicks i ever see, im not eve exagerating, i dont know how to describe but it was wonderfull how he impact the ball and how fierce the shot was, just imagine beating a goalkeeper like Courtois who is in that pole.

Whoa man congrats to you. I really wanted to take that initially but I saw the odds as 'too low' lol so opted for some other shit that's probably not gonna hit. Inter winning was a big possibility, I even put a freebet on that but BTTS was very hard for me to swallow.

I am trying to wrap my head around the odds for missed penalties here. In the Bayern vs. Inter game, missed penalty is 14.00 while in the PSG vs. Aston Villa game the odds are 19.00. Isn't Kane on this insane penalty scoring streak that would put those odds above those of PSG vs. Aston Villa? I think he scored the last 30 penalties if that information is up to date

Don't ask me how these things work, the odds of a penalty in most games are roughly the same as I could see, just under 4/1. I suppose bookies factor in money on the markets here, as I know that's always affected odds as well with risk adjustment mechanisms kicking in.

In any case, no penalties so far, I think I've got a few points here and there on those, can't remember, but would be nice to see someone challenge swogerino for points!

I actually wanted to watch both, but alas we had to focus on one match.

I'm curious to see how Unai handles the champions league again, he's usually able to do his best despite the tough opponents, he always has brilliant tactics.

Can't remember when it was last time when I saw two goals from free kick scored in single game. In general, goals from free kick is rarity nowadays, so, what we saw yesterday was something crazy. Probably one of the best freekick goals in recent years and he chose the right time to score his first free kick goals since he joined Arsenal and maybe even ever.

Having said that, competition in that regard is not what it used to be as for some reason players don't score as often from free kicks as they used to.

Trent Alexander Arnold needs Real Madrid! And not the other way round. Who wouldn't want to wear that beautiful white and play in front of thousands of blown Spanish women every week?

Yes, Rice scored two goals from free kicks and according to Ancelotti this is the first time in his career. Miracles happen this time against Real Madrid. But overall it's stupid (for me as a Real Madrid fan) to complain because Real Madrid have had an uneven season and they've often failed. It would be unfair if they ended up winning everything. If you look at other teams, they are all also far from ideal (I can’t name a single worthy one), but nevertheless Real is objectively bad.

Honestly looking forward to the PSG-Villa game. I think it's gonna be the best one in these 2 days.
This PSG is how I'd assemble my team if I was doing it - they will be given room to grow together and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up winning a few CL-s in the next 5 or so years.

That being said - Villa is in really good form. Let's see what they can do tonight.

Yeah even bookies gave them pretty high odds to win, thats how big the bookies favour Arsenal over Real Madrid but seriously losing 3-0 without scoring a single goal was totally unexpected from a team like Real Madrid. Its not like Arsenal is the best team in EPL like now so thats kinda weird. Anyway Real Madrid on the 2nd leg is gonna be a beast, not sure if they would qualify but we are looking at 2nd leg with atleast 5 goals in total though

Congratulations for the 46 points you earn. It seems that only you believe Inter Milan will win this match, because I feel it is impossible for Bayern to lose at home, even when the score is 1-1, I am sure Bayern will score one more goal to make them win in this 1st leg, but Inter is too good this time.

However, seeing Real Madrid lose badly to Arsenal is the most surprising, but Real is still Real, in the 2nd leg even though their job is harder but the situation can change a lot.

I feel quite happy to still be able to get points in pot B.
