I don't think PSG can be an example that shows this. The fact that they failed two seasons in a row when the "best" player in the world (but in fact a lazy pensioner) + fragile Neymar (who was never good over a distance) played there does not prove anything. Rather the opposite - to succeed you need to gather the best players, not the best brands. Now when I look at the PSG squad I have no doubt that there are several players there who are among the best in the world.

To succeed you need to gather the best players talents and build a team, not the best players. PSG bought the biggest and the greatest players and yet couldn't dominate Europe.

PSG can't be praised just yet. Winning Ligue in France was always easy for them, and winning 1 Champions League is not going to prove anything for longterm.

Keep this team fighting for glory 2 or 3 seasons in a row, then its proof.

But when I first got to know Leverkusen? If not for Alonso, I would be who the hell is Boniface? Also same Liverpool, players who suddenly became so important and making teams feared everywhere, I barely knew Salah, Mane and. Er who else.

I will say the same for Nottingham Forest but only if they maintain. For now, jury out.

Why I see a point in what you're saying is because PSG is an elite club and not some small clubs that they should be praised for being one season wonder. PSG winning the champions league is going to be a great achievement for them but they can't just win one and then expect us to praise them. They should be capable of repeating similar success as they do in their league in Europe too. That club is spending lots for money from the past decade so they should have to perform well. Messi and Neymar didn't bring much success to the club, so their departure wasn't a big deal. It was Mbappe that had an impact but so far, it seems they have become better without him.

I know. But established team players in Southampton and Basel and Roma are different from established players in Napoli and Barca. (Talking about Salah and Mane and Alisson for example that I recall Liverpool got, I honestly didn't know much about them until they joined Liverpool). Honestly even remember watching Roma Liverpool and I thought Alisson was so-so let in 5 goals lol and they were midtable in Italy.

So the players I named that PSG got, they were all even shortlist for best players or Ballon nominees and come from Champions clubs. Dembele, Kvara, Hakimi donarumma, you know all these names from before, and all came with titles and medals. I believe the teams I mention, Leverkusen, the first Klopp Liverpool, the first Klopp Dortmund, very few if any players in those amazing teams won anything before. When PSG lifted Ligue 1, more than half the team already knew how it feels to win an even bigger title. You have at least from last season when they started building CL winners, Serie A winners, La Liga winners, World Cup winners, EURO winners, that I can think of from the few names I mentioned.

Gentlemen, one of the best semifinal matchups in recent times (in my opnion) is now upon us and we proceed to do battle over these final stages. Pot A may very well be decided in most cases but we will always have a chance of unexpected hauls in Pot B, and I think some of you might enjoy what's on offer.

What a diferent feel it gives me to put the options for potB being only 2 games, i feel like i need more options or more games.

For this round i dont know what to expect, in the end we are in semifinals and i dont see a team much above another one, so every result can be possible.

Gone for some very high odds in the Pot B though I acknowledge that I have almost 0 chances to hit them yet I liked a lot the L.Martinez to score 2+ goals at 11.50 odd, there is only one thing I don't like as a change from this year, we cannot place 10 points to a single bet which is totally needed in a Pot like this in order to always have chances of doing nasty things like getting to top spot from 20th for example  . For Pot A I don't think much will change as most people will continue to place favorite bets in order to try to keep their places and hope to jump a few, especially the top 10 which are still in fight for a top 5 prize spots, prize spots tighter this year also, as 5 only prize spots makes sure next year not as many people will join such type of pool, was much better at 10 prize spots.

That's why I like this format. 2 pots for 2 styles. Superbru rewards those who steadily climb. Pot B is for chaos. Most football fans like chaos we all love those teams who just go for broke lol and thats why as a Barca fan this is one of the teams I love the most, we're just attacking like nobody's business no matter the score.

Fair fair, I didn't know Salah was a best player in Italia at the time, not bad achievement at all for midtable Roma, but I was talking about breakout teams in first seasons, MacAllister already joined a title winning team  PSG's breakout team is not the same as Dortmund Liverpool Leverkusen breakout teams. That was my point.

I think it ends Arsenal as a winner and both teams to score as I think Arsenal clearly has the quality to beat any team especially after what they did to Real Madrid during the quarter finals. PSG is a good team I acknowledge that though so far I have seen them never being as mature as it is needed to be a Champions League winner as I think they may have a really good chance at giving a shot to win the Champions League if they manage a good result tonight against Arsenal. I don't think the fact that Arsenal has 0 European Cups so far in their whole history will be a show stopper for them, I think psychologically they are the best fit team as they don't care what happens, they just want to give it all and hope for the best, I am sure the fans won't be pressuring them, in fact quite the opposite they will support them till the end no matter how it ends this campaign in Europe.

It's something that we didn't expect PSG to be able to shine without expensive players spending hundreds of millions of euros, but PSG is now more compact with a team of this size because Luis Enrique changed from the previous game to be more aggressive.

Winning at home to Arsenal is something valuable for him, only need to win again at home to PSG then the final is in front of their eyes.
Honestly, we wrongly predicted that in this match Arsenal would win, but obviously our predictions were wrong, in addition Arsenal are often inconsistent when they want to go to the top, ah there is no difference when they are in the PL.

I chickened out for tonight game in Champions League, and I could not find what I like so I tried two predictions and failed.
This gave me 1.5 points in Superbru, but Pot B gave me zero points, and I see only few guys won something in Pot B today

Lucky to be down 1-0, PSG had too many chances to kill the game in tonight- now they will have to over work in Paris as Arsenal will be putting everything on the line for the second leg. Ode and Saka were nowhere to be found today.

There's a lot to play for in the second leg. I still don't want Arsenal to progress.
