Huh, Liverpool just conceded 5 away goals, can they perform any magic in the second round of the game in Santiago Bernabeu to move to the next round? I think the possibility is very tiny.

Liverpool can't. The result can be predicted easily. So many times i have been even speculating if liverpool will be losing against madrid. A bit surprised that if liverpool can lose so big like this. Liverpool might able to make two goals before madrid but how weak the defenders of liverpool. Before the game tonight i had taken my word back as regards Real Madrid picking Liverpool apart, i did so because i thought Liverpool coming into this game on the back of two victories against Everton and Newcastle would give them the well needed confidence to go out there tonight and give their fans something to cheer about, and to be fair to them, they did, but it only lasted for 20 minutes, before it absolutely turned into a Real Madrid show.

Having said that, quite a lot of things are going wrong for Liverpool, i just read that this is the first time they are conceding 5 goals in a European comperition in Anfield. The bad thing about this loss is its demoralizing effect, just after the team started to find their spirit again, and i am pretty sure this defeat would affect them in the EPL. As far as the second leg goes, this is already a done deal imo, Real Madrid are just too experienced to throw away a three goal lead when they are playing at home, thus it should be goodbye Liverpool.

incredible, I was expecting a very close match and I blindly believed that Liverpool and Real Madrid would not go beyond the draw so as to play for access to the quarterfinals at the bernabeu in the return match. but already after 5 minutes the goals began to emerge.. I would say the game is pretty much over and the game won by Real Madrid. The score line now stands at Liverpool 2 to Real Madrid 5 and going into the 86th minute.  I think Real Madrid is the better team as they’ve utilized their chances and despite being two goals down initially, they pressed on, equalized on the goals and are now leading them by 3 goals. Liverpool must at least be able to beat Real Madrid by a minimum margin of 4 goals to qualify for the upcoming second leg.

However, Benzema's performance in this match was extraordinary. He proved that Benzema has not aged yet and is still in great form. If Benzema could have stayed with the squad from the start of the season, Madrid would have been at the top of La Liga. Benzema scored two goals and one assist in this match. Apart from Benzema, the youngster VIni played superbly in this match. Vinicius scored both goals in the first half.

The first is: Liverpool haven't really been knocked out of the UCL, they only lost 2-5 on aggregate to Real Madrid in the first leg, well, although it looks like it might be a bit impossible to win by a big score at the Santiago Barnabeu. But, they weren't really done yet.

The second is: Real Madrid haven't really focused on the UCL ATM, they are only 8 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, we see this crazy result because Real Madrid are unbeaten in the UCL (as is their tradition).

A game fulled of stellar display from the both parties but the red's was not lucky enough to go home with the topping 3 points. Madridstas are far beyond what the red's can handle this season. Real Madrid recording 2-5 victory over Liverpool is a big setbacks for the English side, definitely going to be difficult to do a comeback in the second leg against real madrid, atleast not in Santiago bernabeu which is their victory ground. Liverpool journey has ended in this competition that on the second leg it's very difficult for them to reverse the situations especially Madrid were very strong during play at their home in Laliga and champion league so for upcoming match there is no chance for Liverpool to beat Madrid
