PSG lost points against Benfica. Benfica is not a weak team. They have a strong squad. And Benfica is at the top of the Primeira League table. I do not consider it disrespectful to share points with such a team. But since PSG is fighting for the title. Their goal is the Champions League title. So we want to see a better performance from PSG. If they do not come with consistency of their performance, it is not possible to win the Champions League title. Because almost every team in the Champions League is strong. Without consistency in performance, it is almost impossible to beat these teams.

If you are going to compare players, look at the player quality of Benfica and PSG. Messi, Neymar, Mbappe are the best attacking part of PSG. In the defense, Ramos, Hakimi, Marquinhos are the best defense lineup. Even then, how can we not be disappointed in PSG's game? I will compare PSG with Manchester City. So how will PSG dream of winning the Champions League?

Departing from the league of each favorite club such as Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain. I choose one of several teams from the league they play in their respective countries. The most experienced team in champion league also have more advantage over the rest teams especially from the semifinals. For now I can't predict who will be lifting up the trophy as no team should be down graded in this league. At semifinals then we can see clearly who will be the winner. The big teams like Real Madrid is a threat to other teams. Although all the teams will play their best but just a little error might be their end.

Now the competition is still in the group phase, I would say the competition is actually in the knockout phase, except for the clubs who are in the Hell group like in group C, which consists of Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Viktoria Plzen (which I think they are unlucky) . We can see later in the knoutout phase the favorite clubs will fall one by one, that's the real competition. Because in the group phase there are still many opportunities for them to survive because they played 6 rounds of matches.

Things are going on like a nightmare for Ajax in the Champions League. They were very ineffective against Liverpool and Napoli both. This is too worrying for them while they are a very strong attacking team normally. Something has changed after the very comfortable Rangers win. Of course these are much more challenging opponents than Rangers. But I remember how strong Ajax were playing against big teams in the previous season as well. They had better figure things out quickly before it's too late for them.

Their next matches are:

- Napoli (A)
- Liverpool (H)

If they don't prepare well for these matches then they would continue in the Europa League after a long time. I'm pretty sure that the board expect Ajax to qualify from the group so anything other than that is failure.

PSG were really surprising last night. They couldn't defeat Benfica despite dominating especially the second half. Benfica had better be happy still for getting a point from them. Because they weren't able to show an impressive performance in this game. PSG did their best but it wasn't enough for a win. Messi's goal was really superb by the way. He was scoring this kind of spectacular goals regularly at Barcelona. It's nice to see the same Messi here also.

I don't think that this point loss would affect PSG in the group much. I think that they will defeat Benfica next time and consolidate their lead even more. The team that might be able stop in the group seems like Juventus only. Because that game is in Turin and Juventus might continue to improve their performance until then.

The Benfica team is not weak. But I expected a better performance from PSG. PSG's performance was not as good as expected. Mbappe's performance in particular was not good in this match. If Mbappe had played well, the result would have been in favor of PSG. Moreover, PSG would have won the match 1-0 if PSG's defender Danilo had not mistakenly sent the ball into their own net. I would say PSG was very unlucky in this match. Also the performance of Benfica's defenders was excellent. As a result, PSG could not score more than 1 goal despite some good attacks.

In group E all teams still have a chance to qualify and only Salzburg have 5 points remaining while Milan and Chelsea have 4 points.
Next week will be another meeting for the second leg, of course with a draw it is not a good hope for Chelsea they want 3 points to look safe for a while in the group if a draw is still very likely there is a chance of qualifying but still competing with other teams but the only way is to win with Milan again I think that's what Potter needs to improve Chelsea's quality again.

Chelsea showed finally their quality in this match and destroyed easily Milan. Expected honestly a lot more from Milan,at least one goal but they just couldnt score it. Chlesea and Milan both teams should pass the group stage if they dont lose points to Salzburg and Dinamo and with their quality i dont think that will happen easily.

This situation is the same as a year ago when The City and PSG have to favorite to be champions. But, all result hasn't expected, at the end of the league, all people didn't calculate the power of real Madrid which mean, they are careless, take them for granted, and don't see the Lion. I still doubt Man City and PSG will this year even has the best player and top scorer because both don't have a winning mentality in Champion League like other clubs.

City and PSG are in their best form and their ultimate target this season is the champions league. The champions league is meant for the best among the best, not going to be an easy run-up for any team that would lift the trophy.

The best performance from city gives club guaratee to be among the top clubs in champion league. The only problem is city with its good performance may able to be defeated by another club. It's caused by city must compete with best teams in the world. There's a chance for city to lose against another club. I doubt that if city can win against those big club easily. We know that if city will always be struggling once it will meet big club in champion league. I doubt that if city will able to win champion league title for this season. We have bayern, real madrid, PSG and so many big teams.

When the competition enters the knockout stages especially when 16 teams reach the last 16, then the conditions will be very different. The team will play desperately to win the match both for the first leg and the second leg. I doubt Chelsea can beat Milan away from home. I don't think the team is settled but I expect a draw at worst. Graham potter will slowly put the team back together. We've seen that he's really made a tremendous change in a short period of time. I don't think any manager can be immediately successful. I think you need a little bit of time.
Yes, everyone has a chance in the group but chelsea has a much bigger squad than the other teams.

However, this year they added Haaland, a player that they bought for cheaper than what he is worth, and now worths more than double what he should be at around 150 million. Imagine a situation where you add that type of player into an already good team who went to semi-finals last year. I am guessing that they are going to be heavy heavy heavy favorites this year, they were already seen as a big candidate before him, now they also have him on top of that.

Yes, I am really very impressed with Napoli's outstanding performance so far. The Partenopei have been perfect in Serie A and the Champions League. I had doubts about Napoli this season, because many of their mainstay players left, but with the squad they have now, Luciano Spalletti is able to dismiss the doubts of many people. Hopefully Napoli can continue to appear consistent until the end of the season.

Even if they don't have the best squad compared to the biggest favourites of the Champions League title they still manage to find a way to win it. The experience is a huge factor for them of course. They have dominated the tournament with many titles so far. They are of course a big threat in this season as well. If they build a dream team in the future then they would be even much more difficult to be stopped.

Maybe bookmakers are pushing them down in the list despite being the last champions. But I think that it's worth betting on them to win the title @10.00 already now. There is no harm in giving it a chance considering their huge dominance with five titles in the previous ten seasons here.

In this case it is as you say because indeed if you look at the name of the club, even though Benfica may be under PSG but they are a big club in the Primeira Liga so this cannot be said to be a weak club and when it is the Champions League it is clearly a collection of clubs which does have more power than other clubs so this is something that shouldn't happen for PSG but can be said as normal too.

Bookmakers are constantly changing their minds about winning the Champions League. I just think we shouldn't flatten a team like Napoli. They are currently playing really well and have also given Ajax a beating with 1-6. And recently they also won 4-1 against Liverpool, those are decent results. Napoli is so good that they can also win away at Liverpool. Win the Champions League? Normally not but this team has a chance against anyone. And as usual, you also need some luck with the draw.

Benfica are indeed a good team and they are also one of the big teams in the Primeira Liga but PSG can be said to be far superior in every way, whether it's from the quality of the players or others but their performance in this match was really not very good in my opinion even though they controlled the game.
Benfica played very disciplined in this match and of course this is a good thing for them. I really appreciate that, at least this can be a lesson for Galtier that Ligue 1 is very different from the Champions League.

PSG dominated possession in the first half as expected, but were met with a resilient Benfica who played with courage through out the match. I did not see PSG winning Benfica because of how they’ve been performing in the Portuguese league. Vitinha and Marco Verratti dominated the central areas of the pitch using their quick passing and agile movements to beat defenders. I don’t think there’s any need to change PSG midfield because the players in that position are experienced and good. Maybe they would have offered more but it wasn’t there day to win.

Overall, it's clear that PSG is better with a good midfield and a very good front line, but they also can't underestimate Benfica of course because, as you said, Benfica is still quite good in the Champions League and in the Primeira Liga.
But maybe their second meeting at home to PSG will definitely be very different considering they don't want the same thing to happen again in next week's game.

I'm curious how PSG will do this year. They haven't won the title once, but with a bit of luck it could have been twice. Last year it was actually inconceivable that Real Madrid would still win after the double deficit against PSG. And they lost to Bayern Munich once in the final. Based on the results in the group stage you can't say much, they don't have any pressure there and a draw against Benfica might be a bit disappointing but it's not a 4-0 loss for example. Only in the semi-finals will we see how good they really are in the CL, but it will be a strange tournament because the World Cup will also come in between. So the first cross final will only be played after the World Cup.
