Great victory for Real Madrid. This team cannot be stopped. They might win another edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Trent Alexander Arnold was horrible at defending his zone and almost all attacks by Real were there.
David Alaba was also bad at defense, but his injury and the replacement by Nacho stabilized Real's defense and had a tremendous impact over the game. Vinicius Jr. and Benzema are unstoppable in attack. Valverde also did a great job.
What surprised me is Thibaut Courtois making mistakes. This isn't normal for him. Anyway, great game with lots of goals. It was real pleasure for the football fans to watch.

Initially, I thought that after Liverpool took the lead in the 4th and 14th minutes. I think Liverpool has risen from its slump. however, after Vini Jr scored his first goal in the 21st minute. I suspect, this fight will be won by Madrid. and yes, it wasn't long before Vini Jr equalized again from a blunder by goalkeeper Alisson. Yes, this match was a heavy blow for Jurgen Klopp to see his players underperform.

not only Trent Alexander Arnold, but all of Liverpool's defense lines played very badly, including Van Dijk. there are many gaps that they show, there is no strict marking, so that Madrid can easily take advantage of them. also, Fabinho's poor performance. as a result, Liverpool must be humiliated in their own cage.

On the other hand, what Madrid showed was really very impressive. they were able to turn things around, and win this fight. Madrid proved his mentality, as one of the strongest challengers in this competition.

They shouldn't underestimate us in the Champions League under any circumstances, but I hope it will be much more profitable than not.

Maybe it's not nice when we have to lose Aurelien Tchouameni, Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy in this important match, it's a bit annoying. But actually Real Madrid do not lack much to win this first leg against Liverpool, this is a good hope following two important wins in La Liga.

At the start of the match, Liverpool left no doubt that they could beat Real this time. Especially after a silly mistake by Courtois and a goal by Sallah when the score was 2-0. I thought Real had no chance of winning. But no one probably expected them to score five return goals and win this encounter, leaving Liverpool no chance this season.

It was a hugely damaging night for Liverpool in what was the heaviest home defeat in the club's history. Vinicius equalizer changed the whole emphasis of the contest, then Real Madrid going ahead two minutes after the break when Eder Militao headed in Luka Modric's free-kick gave them the upper hand in the game. Its called football for a reason and Liverpool have pulled off spectacular comebacks before, but it would be truly extraordinary if they turned this one around at the Bernabeu.

It's even more difficult to expect Liverpool to manage to come back in the second leg as Real Madrid are much stronger at home. If Liverpool do not win the first leg, they will lose their chance to qualify for the quarter-finals. So since Liverpool lost 2-5 to Real Madrid then expectations are just too low at the moment and I think they will just bury that dream again this season.

Liverpool might win at the Santiago Bernabeu, but I'm sure they won't qualify for the quarter-finals. Real Madrid have progressed to the quarter-finals and they will try to maintain that lead as best they can.

Yesterday's Liverpool vs Real Madrid match was truly amazing. Especially the attitude of the guests could impress. After the goal to make it 2-0 and a fatal mistake by Courtois, I thought nothing bad could happen to Liverpool, but the Real players quickly showed me how wrong I was. The score of 2-5 leaves no illusions about promotion to the next phase of the Champions League. In today's matches, I bet on Inter Milan and Manchester City to win.

Liverpool had good opportunities in scoring 2 goals in the early hour of the match, with this opportunity it would have been so difficult for Real Madrid but Liverpool was unable to defensively by not giving Real Madrid a chance to score a goal.  Liverpool started well but couldn't maintain the game they started well.

But Liverpool lost their composure in the tempo of the game after Real Madrid scored a goal back. and Liverpool are indeed weak in defense. but I think in the second half Liverpool will have a new strategy. but it turned out they didn't make much of a difference so Real Madrid could score more goals.

You are talking exactly the way I thought about this game, too. I can openly admit that I took on a bet against my friend and he offered me some amazing odds when I bet that Liverpool is going to win with 2+ goals and Frankfurt is not going to lose. When someone offers you great odds you start talking yourself into it literally!

On like you, I would want to talk myself out frm taking the bet, not except I've got that assurance from my guts and the teams to which am supporting are the better side in that fixture. Being offer an outrageous odd would immediately make me ask myself; what is it that he knows and I don't know? Is there a top man on the bench, perhaps suspened or have been injured during the training? Questions such as these would cloud my mind and in a way, am likely not going to take the bet. Rather, I'll enjoy the game by just watching and not having to favour any team.

After 15 minutes it was 2:0 for Liverpool and I sent him some smileys and said "already shitting your pants?" haha, funny anecdote.

Definitely something anyone would do but, against Real Madrid in the UCL.. Real Madrid is the UCL and they've had a come back at the least possible time with a big team to get back into the league. I wouldn't let my adrenalin get the better of me should I bet against Real Madrid.

Yes I see it the same way and I did of course do the basic checks whether some important guys are injured and so on. But in the end it is also a good friend and at times we bet against each others just for fun. If one loses, the friend wins. That's always better than losing against a bookmaker and the money is gone. Usually we spend it together going out for a night anyway having some food and drinks. It is more about those funny situation like the one I described when I wrote "already shitting your pants?" We both were laughing about it in the end. He texted some very funny answer and that is what it actually is about.

If I had to place my bets with a bookmaker, I would have chosen Napoli as the winner, but I would not have chosen Real Madrid as the winner. The 2:5 was too much and I doubt anyone who placed bets even got close to that result unless it was one of these "who cares, I am going for some crazy odds today". Real Madrid winning with 3+ in Liverpool after being 2 goals down, yeah... You get my point!

But one issue that Liverpool has now repeatedly been fighting with are those goalkeeper blackouts. They happen too often.

After Liverpool failure at Anfield and the very unexpected result in the first 15 minutes, many thought Real Madrid would lose. But I know how Real Madrid made the second half a real game. My bet from the start ended in a satisfactory result. This is the game we need the most in the Champions League.

Make no mistake, Madrid will always surprise in the second half and has always proven that whenever under pressure, comebacks will exceed their opponent's expectations. Liverpool themselves, they are playing better than in the Premier League, but what needs to be realized is that their opponents are more extraordinary.

As for Napoli, who came as guests against Frankfurt, they played very well and pressed the hosts from the start and in the 40th minute Victor Osimhen scored the first goal for Napoli. Unfortunately, in the second half of the 58th minute Frankfurt had to be willing to play with 10 players because Kolo Muani got a red card and in the 65th minute Napoli added another goal through Lozano. With this result Napoli won a 0-2 victory and are very confident when the second leg will be held at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

In the end it was a totally deserved win for Napoli i have to say. That being said, i also think that this match could have ended differently too. In the first 30 minutes or so, Eintracht Frankfurt definitely was the better team and if they would have scored a goal there, then would would have had a totally different game. After Napoli got that penalty though, which they have missed, they were the better team and their goal shortly before the half time break was already deserved.
I also have to say though, that for me the red card for Kolo Muani was to hard. He definitely went for the ball and he even touched the ball first before he hit the other player, so a yellow card would have been more fitting there.

After yesterday's performance from Real Madrid, it will be interesting to see how Leipzig play Manchester City and Inter play Porto today. I think surprises could happen in both matches, but I think the favourites are Manchester City and Inter. Although Porto have not lost 22 games in a row and also play very well away.

This match was truly amazing. Liverpool started brilliantly. They immediately went ahead with 2-0 goals. Apart from the second goal, everything was fine for Liverpool in the first half. Then they gradually become inactive. A mistake by Alisson Becker equalized for Real Madrid. Then everything went wrong for Liverpool. In this match, Liverpool lost 5-2 to Real Madrid. No one imagined this rate in the first place.

I think at the start Liverpool looked convincing and they would have won easily. But that changed, madrid are getting more and more determined to win. Liverpool finished the game they had five shots on goal and Madrid six. Remarkably Madrid played more effectively without much possession of the ball they were able to make five goals from six shots on goal. I think they are currently seeded to qualify for the top eight.

The frustration began after the ended in half time draw. Liverpool made so many silly mistakes and they all ended in an unpleasant result for them. The fault was majorly from the keeper but the defenders also contributed. Since 2014/15 season Liverpool have not defeated Madrid in the CL in which Klopp was meant to capitalize to secure the first two goals lead but he ended up conceding 5 at the end of the day. The second leg will be too easy for Madrid to qualify for quarter finals

Real Madrid's good record against Liverpool continues, certainly not big surprise. But of course Liverpool were very bad after winning 2 goals in the first half, and they failed miserably to maintain that advantage. Liverpool are actually favored at home after they seem to have risen in the last few Premier League match. It went well at first as expected, but Vinicius, Benzema and Militao completely crushed those hopes last night.

To be honest, I don't see any good expectations from Liverpool in the second leg later. They were just bad against Real Madrid, and probably will be for the foreseeable future.

It looks like Liverpool won't be able to achieve anything this season.

There is no longer any hope for Liverpool this season. Liverpool must be able to win the game with a minimum score of 4-0 in order to qualify for the next round. But, 4-0 is not an easy result to get, even when they are playing at home, they lose badly. It's likely next season Liverpool won't be playing in the UCL, unless there is a surprise  . The difference is 7 points with Tottenham who are in 4th place. This is also not a small point considering Liverpool performance in the EPL has been very bad this season. I don't know what happened to Liverpool, they are very different compared to last season. If Liverpool do not qualify for the UCL next season, this will repeat the 2015/16 history, when Liverpool only finished in 8th position, and failed to play in the UCL season 2016/2017.
