I also see the Germans as the favorites in this match, but the first matches are always open to surprise results. The Scots won't give in to the Germans easily. I'm going to bet on a draw for the first half. A German win gives a low odds of winning. But I think Germany will win this match. They'll use the home advantage.  They didn't get out of the groups in the last World Cup. I think they will make an extra effort in this tournament to make us forget the last World Cup.

I just love how the German team are so composed on the ball, the Scotland defense doesn't stand a chance against the young attackers Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala and they've proved Nagelsmann right for including them in the team, especially Florian Wirtz, he deserves the playing time, after what we saw him do at Leverkusen, which coach in his right sense won't give the young man a chance to prove himself in the national team and so far, he did. He's s just set a record of being the youngest player to score in the opening game of the tournament and at 10mins interval of the game. Looking at the game, i think Germany have already secured the 3 points in the 1st half cause with their level of composure in defense and attack, i don't see Scotland equalizing, well let's see if Scott Mctominay could rescue his team from a defeat today. I couldn't have been more correct I guess, Germany have totally dominated the game and it's been a one sided affair, and matters couldn't have gotten any worse for Scotland who have gone down to just 10 men, with a 3 goals deficit, this one is already in the wraps for the host nation!

Ugh. Even without removal, it seems to me that the risk was too great; in all polls I made a forecast for a clear victory for Germany. However, there is still a whole half ahead and maybe Scotland will be able to score an accidental goal.
At the moment, my biggest regret is that the Scotland goalkeeper made some phenomenal saves, but given that the score is 0-3 (and this is not the end) it is unlikely that anyone will notice.

what a sensational first half! Honestly, I haven't watched Germany play for a while prio to this game and seeing this kind of performance just broght goosebumps all over me. This is almost like a replica of the real Madrid magic both from the defense, midfield and attack. You've got incredible true passes coming from all the legendary tony Kross who humbled the entire Scotland team with his experience and maturity in the game. England was my initial favourite before the start of this tournament but I just can't hold help but fall in love with this Germany team.

It's already 3:0 in the first half and it will be a long second half for the Scotland team and if things continues the way the first half went, it's certain we might be seeing a 5:0 score line in favour of Germany.

Florian Wirtz indeed opened the scoring at the 10th minutes, just like many of us who watched him play in the Bundesliga expected. I did not expect Germany to struggle to win Scotland and the bookies are already in agreement with this hence the very low odds they game to Germany. At half time it is Germany leading by three goals to nil with Scotland having receiving a red card from a very bad tackle by Ryan Porteous near the eighteen yard. With this current stand, it is obvious that Germany have gotten their first three points and already looking forward to their next group match against Hungary next week.

On paper, Germany can win this opening match easily considering that their opponents are not stronger, in fact Scotland will start the second half with 10 players after one of their players was given a red card at the end of the first half.

There might still be a few additional goals in the second half if Nagelsmann doesn't want to reduce the intensity of his attacks. Germany needs to score as many goals as they have the chance, it will help them lead the standings if another team can match their points later.

This was obvious from the beginning, so it's no surprise that we're seeing this score. Scotland are not a team of the same calibre and would not be able to stand up to Germany. neither in the first half nor in the current minute have they been able to strike even a single shot and their ball possession leaves much to be desired. So far Germany's game has been sensational, especially in the first half. The front line is clinical, the defense is also solid. The front line trio have scored goals, maybe in the remaining time the German side will add another goal because considering that Germany is already three goals ahead of course their confidence will also be higher and Germany will also have a superior number of players. .

Currently watching this game right now and am not seeing such a strong team from the Scottish side as you had praised them to be,  Germany is leading by 4 goals to nothing against Scotland. I mean this game right from the first half was just too easy for the Germans, and it's not surprising to me because I saw this coming right in my earlier comment before the kickoff.

There's not going to be any upset in this game from Scotland, and playing with a one man down makes their hopes more dwindling. Too bad a way to lose a first match of the tournament and this puts a huge task on them as their qualification in the group stage is purely in doubt.

An easy game for Germany tonight as they have scored the 4th goal to make the scoreline 4-0. . Füllkrug was able to find the back of the net on the 68th minutes five minutes after he got into the pitch.

Germany have stronger players than Scotland and still Scotland is playing with 10 men. The Germans iare in a training ground to me, because they are not playing too serious but everything is working out very easy for them. Too much squad in Germany. Julian Nagelsmann, is the youngest coach that have reached Euros finals. I am not surprised because Germany is the defending champion.

Is not about the goals but the way they are so focused in the game, since the world this is the first time in a competitive game I have seen the host nation play with so much seriousness. By the way the red card killed the morela of the visitors, at the beginning of the game they (Scotland) started well with the hope of making the host to find it difficult to get goals and now they're the one struggling to keep the ball out from their goal post.
This is a different Germany team with the little man Musiala who has been brilliant in the game, getting the ball into the danger area and I believe he's going to be the youngest best player of the tournament that's if they're consistent in this tournament.
