Sounds like easy money on Germany tomorrow in the opening game as I highly doubt they will permit another surprise result again making all fans go mad in rage,I know anything can happen yet I think Germany it will be a serious contender for the title this time and therefore the bookies should be prepared to lose a lot of money at least in the opening game with Germany.

I also think that most games talk to us for making us money,meaning they are heavily one sided in theory yet I have seen the games of Italy in friendlies and they barely scored a not so easy goal against Bosnia and Herzegovina during their last game.Of course Albania is not a strong contender as they are just here in the Euro for the second time in history yet this time they made head news during qualifying as they qualified first above Czech and Poland which are both in the Euro,not an easy game for me despite bookies saying 1.37 for Italy.

Germany is notably a better team here to bet on than Scotland, but Scotland on their side isn't a team to let down too, as it has been a long time since both teams met, but despite the majority of people taking side on Germany to win, I don't think it will change the fact that they're in a better position to win this game because Germany has a good record over their opponent team Scotland and which they've met 17 times, where we have Germany won 8 out the 17 game, whereas Scotland is Four, so it is obvious that the Germany side got a good record against Scotland.

In that opening game on Friday evening between Germany vs Scotland it is conspicuous that everything points to the favor of Germany even if we have to remove the fact that they are the host country in this tournament. The Germany team regardless of their performances in the friendlies especially in their last game with Greece , they are better fit and in higher form than their opponent Scotland who have injury players at the moment with their midfielder Stuart Armstrong just returning from injury recently to join in training and have not played an active match since April. A lot of factors to consider here and not that am underrating Scotland in that game.

The problem I find with the German team is that every time they are part of a competition,  regardless of a good or bad run they always find themselves to be among the favourites and unfortunately in the last couple of months am not really convinced to say these have a strong team to go all the way...they might survive the group stage but this isn't a strong team generally speaking!!

Btw, Scotland shouldn't be written off easily because these have an above average team and the Germans could be caught napping if they don't play their game right..but being hosts this should give them the extra confidence to win games.

I think the result of the opening game is already obvious. Germany shouldn't be in big trouble against Scotland. Even a win by at least 2 goals wouldn't surprise me at all. Germany don't have a very challenging group in the first place though. Switzerland and Hungary are also much weaker on paper. What Germany are expected to do is to finish the group in the lead.



Let's say they finished like that, then their competitor in last 16 is going to be the 2nd in Group C. It would probably be Denmark. So theoretically I already see Germany in the quarter finals unless there is a surpise.

I agree that the presumption that Germany will easily triumph over Scotland misses the essence of a football game. Football is an unpredictable sport — where every team has an equal chance to win.

Absolutely. I do think that, without any doubt, Germany will crush Scotland. I know Scotland is a nice, composed team but I feel like Germany has more at stake and a lot to prove that they can still compete at the highest level. Germany didn't do well in the world cup two years ago and the Euro is probably their biggest test since they world and at such, they won't want to fuck it up. So yes, I'm team Germany as well for the opening game. I love Andrew Robertson and his Scottish boys but Germany for this one.

This has also been on my mind. Germany has all these big players, they have so many stars on the team, but when you watch them they don't convince you. Maybe it's because I have so much expectation for them or because they used to be so good previously, but Germany doesn't look as scary as people make it seem.
They have the experience and that could help them a lot because in tournaments like this experience matters a lot. All you need is to win 7 matches. Experience plays a very big role because if the team can find a way to even if they don't play convincingly, they stand a chance.

Italy need to beat Albania because it will be nightmare if they won't get three points from Albania and will have to meet two direct competitors in rest two matches in the group. All Italy, Spain and Croatia will consider Albania as an opponent to get three points and direct matches among three competitors will decide two top positions in the group.

Italy usually don't have good debut in big tournaments in group matches and they often need some matches to warm up slowly. The latest Euro 2020 is an exception when they got three perfect winnings in group matches but I am unsure they will repeat these results in this Euro.

Albania can not compare with Italy in quality but Italy don't actually have too good attacking system and recent years they have been struggling to find a world-class striker. For this tournament, it is still one of weakest position in their squad and it can affect their ability to score goals against weaker opponents like Albania that will certainly play very defensively.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Sure, Germany is the favourite to win this game, not only because they are the better team but of course because they are the host.
The problem is, the expectations also put a LOT of pressure on the team. They have to win, otherwise the good feeling from fans and media can turn on the real quick. Especially Neuer has a lot of pressure after the mistake and weak performances he showed over the last games.
Let him have yet another error against Scotland and there will be even more voices that demand a change on the goalkeeper position.

As a German national I really hope for a good start but the longer it's 0:0 the more nervous I will become. Recent tournaments have been big disappointments for our team, hopefully this will change this time.

We will soon be partying EURO 2024 in Germany, as the host is not to be doubted but we should not underestimate Scotland because the squad is mostly from the Premier League that is some great players.

I just checked the odds for the match between Germany and Scotland. The odds are 2 for Scotland to score and 1.73 for Scotland not to score. So, bookmakers believe that it's more likely that Scotland don't score against Germany.
