It must be frustrating for Đoković - the pandemic is over but he still can't play tennis. I really feel sorry for him and hope this craziness ends soon.

Re baseball - it's an important tournament (a baseball equivalent of football's world cup).
I don't track it, don't even know how it's played, but baseball is a huge sport globally and deserves to be included.

The question is formed in a way that gives you some interesting data as well (new teams qualifying) so hopefully we'll all learn something new this week

The whole idea is that we familiarize ourselves with all sports and discuss what we do and don't like. These questions will always be in minority, as we have shown so far.

I'm not sure how USA treats regular people that enters their country, but if all of them must be vaccinated, then I don't agree with you. Who is Đoković (or any other player) to be excluded from that rule? I'm not saying he is stupid not to take a vaccine but the same rules must apply for all. Players and regular people.

As I understand, it applies only for foreign citizens who want to enter USA. While US citizens can travel to USA and outside it. So, it's double standards for people who don't have US passport. I'm not really sure why they still keep this requirement. Even Australia, who deported Djokovic last year, now let him to play in AO.

We are giving you questions, sometimes a week in advance and that creates logistical problems. We are doing research when posting them but new info is getting available by the day.

The answer is the same for both of you; however, I hope that whatever you hear at this point does not go according to plan  . I am not familiar with baseball, but I thought it would be awkward for a team of seven not to win at least three games.

I really don't know anything about baseball and I tried to make some research without much success, so I just made random answer for this one

We make half the questions each. If somebody has some knowledge about the sport and other one doesn't than it is natural that the one with more knowledge will tackle it. For instance I am not following American sports at all (bloody entertainment) so cryptofrka does those questions. He is not following eSports so I did DOTA last time around. That being said he is also not a baseball professional as far as I know but somebody had to do it We want to include all major sports happenings, even if we know very little about them. Opportunity to learn.

On the other hand football is always the base and those "strange" sports get minimum coverage so they aren't that important to overall score but they are here as they should be in Sports Fanatics League.

I totally can understand that Brugge has difficult time in getting that shots on goal but look at Dortmund lol. I dont know how accurate the new expected goal indicator in flashscore but what the heck with 0.07 for Dortmund

Iirc my score should be 1-1 atm as I remember picking Dortmund to advance and i'm 50% sure I picked 2-3 SOTs for the Brugge question.

I could have sworn that I have a 1-0 over my opponent because I checked after the match had ended after about 5 minutes, and it was still recorded as a single shot on goal for Club Brugge, but I had to check again after reading your comment to find it's actually 2 shots on goal,  I'm still trying to find the second shot that was counted as on target, because even before their goal, they had zero shots on target, I want to believe to they reviewed every shot later on to decide which should be awarded as on target or not.

So that's why we have a question about baseball that no one has a club how to answer You are free so you put that question in the form I'm kidding, of course It's popular sport and if you say that it's a competition just like the World Cup in football, it's OK. But don't make a habit out of it

I just looked at the table and man I'm on fire! The only one with 2 out of 2 correct answers so far. I really didn't expect I'll be that good That's especially good for me because joker_josue is my opponent and I think that we answered most questions the same. All Club Brugges shots on goal came after the 80th minute,with the first been what lead to the first goal around the 86th minute (recorded as the 87th minute goal) and their final shot on goal came right after the 90th minute in added time making it 2.

Knowing that Club Brugge struggled in the first leg at home, I didn't expect them to upset Benfica in the second leg, but I did anticipate them to go all out offensively because they have nothing to lose. I was expecting them to at least attempt more than three shots on goal in their 104 minutes of play. They attempted 31 dangerous attacks and played the most corner kicks (5), and still made under 2.5 shots on target. poor

I am too lazy to check when baseball games are actually starting, if only Direwolf posted we would have been in the clear anyway.

This way I am keeping quiet until we are sure that questions has been put out of contention.

Alcaraz still in the tournament which is good news for those of us who went with one of them. On the other hand he will probably play against Kokkinakis who is maybe even the toughest possible draw for first match after injury.

That was club baseball of course, and I suppose a very different animal, but it was impossible to tell which team would win, almost a coinflip from game to game, with such a big roster of players and just so many games happening, it's almost as if you rely on extreme outcomes to win a game... and then you'd see a team smash one team, then lose another just as badly.

Now this tourney's different -- odds are quite extreme on the underdogs (relative to what I'd seen anyway in MLB).

So I feel like one upset is enough, but I have a feeling, if it's anything like club baseball... we'll see 3 wins in these 7 games.
