Alcaraz still in the tournament which is good news for those of us who went with one of them. On the other hand he will probably play against Kokkinakis who is maybe even the toughest possible draw for first match after injury.

The Baseball classic started last night with Cuba and Netherlands, and Panama whooped on Taiwan this morning.  I'm not much of a baseball fan, so I haven't been following closely, but the local channel will be broadcasting the San Francisco Giants hosting the USA team for an exhibition game this evening.  I'll watch that, should be fun.  Had I known about it sooner I would have tried to attend.  Even if I'm not much of a fan of the sport, Giants games are super fun.

Didn't research baseball and I'll tell you why. I did for a season or two (3 seasons ago anyway) try reading as much as possible about baseball in MLB. That was club baseball of course, and I suppose a very different animal, but it was impossible to tell which team would win, almost a coinflip from game to game, with such a big roster of players and just so many games happening, it's almost as if you rely on extreme outcomes to win a game... and then you'd see a team smash one team, then lose another just as badly.

Now this tourney's different -- odds are quite extreme on the underdogs (relative to what I'd seen anyway in MLB).

So I feel like one upset is enough, but I have a feeling, if it's anything like club baseball... we'll see 3 wins in these 7 games.

I didn't research and I hope that you are wrong The baseball question is one of few that my opponent and I answered differently so I hope I got it right (one win). I'm in a lead for now, but that's only one point and it could still go either way.

Im not sure if this is coincidence or that Im not paying thorough attention on the previous week but it seems this round's question is in numerical order based on the date the sports is played / ended

We have two CL games on 1st and 2nd question then another CL games on 3rd and 4th based on the day it is played. Then we have 5th and 6th for Thursday on Europa League. 7th and 8th question for football games on saturday as well as 9th tennis question on saturday as well if Alcaraz ended up playing. The questions order was pretty random on the previous rounds wasnt it

I think I have an observation to UCL and/or Europa League question, for the 2nd leg, all the games have a chance going extra time fortunately none have so far, the PSG question for instance, just like during the FIFA World Cup edition, you might need to be explicit if the questions counts for only regular time or a possible 120 minutes, I'm sure this a rare omission from for you guys.

We are usually mentioning in question if it is regular time only or extra time or whatever. When we don't write it it is usually clear from answers. If there is a draw mentioned in answer of course it is regular time.

Rule of thumb is also that we are doing same markets as bookies unless mentioned oterwise. So for this particular question it would have been regular time only. Same as it is for bookies in goal and assist markets. But I agree this is the one where it would have been better if we mentioned it.

But nobody actually reported the omission while writing answers, not an excuse but shows how hard it is to catch all the stuff sometimes.

The problem is with questions that last for multiple days like tennis or baseball that can be settled on Tuesday or Sunday.

We'll try to sort them according to play time and we'll see how successful we'll be able to do it.

Czech Republic is playing Japan, Korea and China. They have no chance against Japan or Korea, but are as good as China.
Nicaragua is playing Puerto Rico and Israel and they should have a good chance in both games, but I expect them to lose against Puerto Rico.

That leaves us with 2 games: Czech Republic - China and Nicaragua - Israel. I consider both at 50:50 so I went with 1 win in total.

We all analyzed the situation in same way, Czech against China is the only one that I believe has a realistic chance for a win. Could go wrong of course but seems like the best choice. Even if this one doesn't go our way we can still hope for the upset in one of other games.

If there was an option for that covers 1 and 2 wins it would have been my choice. I don't see how we could have 3. 0 is possible but highly unlikely.

Afaik Djokovic made the first announcement that he'll be withdrawing from the competition and then several hours later it was confirmed that Alcaraz will be playing after the matchups were released.

My Arsenal prediction might be in trouble as I wasn't aware that Trossard won't be playing.

Yeah the last few rounds questions was marked throughout the weeks on pretty random row so its kinda confusing sometimes while the 4th round is marked and placed based on numerical order of the games which is much better to check on especially if you are following the games that are being played so its a pretty great initiative though
