Well for me it can't be considered as gambling because nothing is at stake if ever you lose, it's just a friendly bet, more on a challenge as you've said. I also tried this kind of challenge with my sister, instead of money we're betting on who's the one who will do the household chores through playing chess. Like the game we played, we had to bet that anyone who losses would have to cook evening food for the whole week for the other partner and we began the card games and luckily for I came out victorious and she had to succum to it but it was really not much of any difference since she is still the one taking care of that aspect

Money might not necessarily be involved, yet something valuable must be involved in place of it before it could be tagged "Gambling." That context called Gambling is so because you are taking a risk for something, it can never be free. I also remember that I used to play ludo with my friends with bets and whoever reaches the pinis of all their checkers wins. And the ludo game requires a strategy to reach the finish and choose the right pieces so you don't get hit by enemy pawns and return to the start, and ludo is really a very fun and adorable game.

you don't need to invest money to play gambling, for example you can bet with your friend that on test X you will get a higher grade and that if you lose you will do everything your friend asks that is related to school activities and not put your life and physical integrity at risk, so this can be considered a gambling, and you and your friend did not put money to bet, so what is a gambling? in my opinion gambling is any game where the player has no control over the end result, I remember that when I was a kid I made a lot of bets with my friends

I believe what happens is that when there isn't money involved gamblers don't feel the excitement they use to have when betting for real money. Well for me it can't be considered as gambling because nothing is at stake if ever you lose, it's just a friendly bet, more on a challenge as you've said. I also tried this kind of challenge with my sister, instead of money we're betting on who's the one who will do the household chores through playing chess. Unfortunately I always lose because my sister is quite good in it, back on the days gadgets and having an internet are not yet popular. Anyway, it's been said many times here, when there's no money or valuable things are at stake, it's not gambling.

Yes because gambling has to do with bets and potential winning so anything outside that is no longer gambling,  if you play simple and popular games with friends such as ludo,  wots and draft games there all just traditional fun games and can not be categorized under gambling unless the players involved decide to stake money on the game that the only we can refer to it as gambling,  so what makes gambling to be referred to as such is the staked amount that is out for the contest and possibly being won.

But for obvious reasons,  some of the folks who are addicted to this kind on none betting game are higher than those who are actually addicted to real gambling where they have to stake an amount.

I wouldn't call the addiction to a game higher or more dangerous than the addiction to gambling where one spends real money. In the first instance, one only spends their time playing the game and might waste only a bit extra time that they have, but someone who is addicted to gambling will waste both their time and the money that they get their hands on which is obviously more hurtful for someone's life.

Playing some games only to pass your time without wagering any money is much better than wagering money because you barely win in gambling and wasting money only with the hope of getting something extra isn't wise in my opinion and one shouldn't do it.

Do we really to bring kids into gambling and cryptocurrency because at first I thought both are high risk and too stressful for kids to get involved in them,  but on the contrary opinion also is where you mentioned flipping gambling vs trading in coins in terms of risk assessment of both and at that, I may be correct to say that there is no interrelatedness between the two since gambling can't be relied upon to produce exact result and reward repeatedly unlike trading where that can be made possible.

Even though both trading and gambling all involve money,  it still remain crucial to note that without money both ventures will not be actualised and since without money both activities,  it makes no sense to disconnect money in both.

Are you implying poker, with its strategic depth, isn't gambling? I see your angle, but remember, poker's basis is still chance. Skill or not, the cards dictate your fate!

Regarding your 'no loss' argument, that's complex. Games with no upfront cost but possible winnings aren't all gambling, sure. But absence of loss doesn't disqualify it. Many free games hinge on luck and random codes - a twist on traditional gambling, right?
