Sometimes it does happens in football that a team will be having the best performance while the other who's the weak side my be lucky with the goals and be winning and in the end of the game what matters the most is the results and not the performance or how well a team did played the game, most times it's usual for the best team to win but then a few times the weak side may actually really prove tough and strong.

Luck is definitely the key used by most of these elite teams in matches, these clubs have no time to waste other than chanelling their energy on important matches. Proving wrong or right, it doesn't make any significance because three points is straightened up to the club that fought so hard to score goals other than the ones that keep full dominance of the game. Football changing faster than we could even understand. We can't comprehend the picture but watching the likes of mediocre teams been lucky against the top sides.

After Real Madrid narrowly defeated Leipzig in the first leg of their round of 16 game in the UEFA Champions League competition, I had predicted that they're going to easily beat their opponents in the second leg of the tie but little did I know that the Spanish giants are going to struggle in the game and even had to settle for a draw. I assume we all expected Real Madrid to play more aggressively in Leg 2. It was a home match and they need some goals to secure the chance for the next round. Unfortunately, Real Madrid played beyond people's expectation. In the match, Leipzig played more effective, they could make more chances for shot attempts. It is quite confusing because Real Madrid was playing with their best lineup. I think Real Madrid players were quite surprised to see how Leipzig players playing aggressively. They never give up although they were 1 goal behind.

Sure, it was not a lucky goal. Real Madrid made a great effort to score a single goal in the match. But it is surprising to see Real Madrid under pressure against Leipzig at home.

They will enter the final round again in the UCL this season. I don't know who the opponent is, but for now, Man City is the strongest and most consistent in the UCL. We don't see Man City at the start of the season, but Man City now, especially their performance in the UCL. It cannot be denied that Man City is still very bright and convincing to enter the final round.

In this case, many people believe that Real Madrid will be far superior to Leipzig in the second leg. But apparently, it was far from predictions, and they couldn't even be that optimal at home. In champions league, it usually appears that most teams do put on a different kind of performance, they seem to be in a different spirit as compared to how they usually be in their domestic league probably because they are aware of the circumstances around the champions league been a very competitive one and any team that's not in such competitive spirit usually don't go far enough in the champions league so that try to put up that fighting spirit and that's exactly what Leipzig was trying with real Madrid knowing too well how good Madrid is a d how Madrid can stop them in the UCL.

The draw actually turned out in favour of real Madrid because they already had a win and so the draw only helped to give them a chance to the next stage and this was how far Leipzig could go in the champions league this season, for me the results is all that matters how they struggled isn't much of a problem but the result, and that's exactly what real Madrid did, they got the results.

Yes I understand that the result the UEFA Champions League game between Real Madrid and Leipzig yesterday actually favored the home side because of the fact that they managed to narrowly win the first leg of the tie but what I'm trying to say is that considering the football strength of Real Madrid when compared to their German counterparts and the fact that they played the game at home, I expected them to easily win the game but football sometimes doesn't give us what we expect or have already predicted and that's what makes it the most interesting of all the sports in the world.

With the result of that game yesterday, Real Madrid have qualified to play in the quarter finals of the game and after the quarter finals and semi finals draw of the game is made, Real Madrid will know who'll they'll be playing against in the quarter finals and the the team they'll face in the semi final should they happen to win their quarter final opponent.

The UEFA Champions League is club football's most prestigious competition and as the most successful club in the competition, I'm very optimistic that Real Madrid will be very much able to face whichever team they'll eventually meet in the later stages of the competition and is also one of the favorite teams that can win the UEFA Champions League competition this season

Leipzig is a dark horse and their performance is always a pretty impressive treat in every competition they live in as well as for the Champions League because even though Madrid is the favorite the performance on the field and the teamwork built is not too much different from what Leipzig showed in this match.

From onset, I don’t like underrating Leipzig. I always remember how they came into the top tier of the Bundesliga and dominated the league with their great performance till date. They are not a team to be looked down on when it comes to European competition but rather a team to be feared for the unforeseen that they can do. They may not be so excellent in their league games now, but when it comes to champions league, every team always wants to show their expertise in the game and qualify for the next round of the competition regardless.

Real Madrid were also not playing bad in that match but Leipzig was fully prepared for them and have always wanted by all means to make a qualification ahead of Real Madrid. Real Madrid missed so many chances, and it was a disaster for all fans and bettors. How could Madrid not win the game against Lipzig? I could not guess the exact reason Madrid did it, but it was a disaster for the club. The statistics showed equal statistics for both clubs. Neither of them owned the game.

Things like this are happening even more frequently this season. This also shows that variations in a club's strategy to beat its opponents are growing. If you look at the performance of the two teams in their respective leagues, Inter Milan's chances of qualifying for the next round will be much greater, even though the match will take place at home to Atletico Madrid. But Inter Milan also have to be wary of Atletico Madrid, apart from being experienced in the Champions League, another advantage is that the match will be held at home. I don't doubt Inter Milan to qualify for the next round because they have a good defense so it will make it difficult for Atletico to restore the goal aggregate more quickly.

I put two to three top teams this season in the Champions League, apart from Real Madrid I have confidence that Bayern Munich is a strong candidate to win this season. And your right about the fact that Real Madrid are not consistent in their performance. Yesterday we said how Manchester City were busy shooting inside the goal net. Just in 10 minutes they scored two beautiful goals. This shows that they are ready and if a slight chance is giving to them, they will win the UCL again.

However, i would rather bet for Arsenal to win the UCL. I know for a long time now they haven't been in the UCL competition. You are actually right on that, real madrid and Manchester city are the clear favourite to win this year uefa champions league title, but it's not wise to rule out the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and inter Milan. 

Another thing I observe about this real madrid encounter between them and RB Leipzig is that, base on the fact that they won the first leg, they were actually complacent in this their reverse fixture, which would have cost them the game and their qualification, if it wasn't for the top level performance of their goal keeper that day, but they were just lucky that Leipzig didn't have the second goal, if not, it would have been a different ball game all together.

Carlo Ancelotti always stick with his team game plan which is getting the result knowing that the club lacks a main striker I think that is why the team is not scoring wide margin goals, the team rely on Vinicius Jr. and Bellingham to score most of their goals and knowing that playing RB Leipzig second leg could be very risky  having narrowly won the first leg with Leipzig being a very strong opponent too, Real Madrid played with caution at Santiago Bernabeu having an advantage from their first Leg thus sticked with their game plan which worked well because at the knockout stage their is no room for any complacency else they can be eliminated all is now set for the quarterfinals after all the other competing team played their second legs

Very disappointed with the result achieved by real madrid in this game. The club like being a toothless club and it made my bet collapse like you. People who are thinking thiis result is good for madrid may not bet in this match.
I pick madrid win the game but the performance from real madrid was so awful. Madrid was also rarely attacking leipzig and it was also forcing the club gets draw. Many people have very big expectation for real madrid.

Sometimes it does happens in football that a team will be having the best performance while the other who's the weak side my be lucky with the goals and be winning and in the end of the game what matters the most is the results and not the performance or how well a team did played the game, most times it's usual for the best team to win but then a few times the weak side may actually really prove tough and strong.

Luck is definitely the key used by most of these elite teams in matches, these clubs have no time to waste other than chanelling their energy on important matches. Proving wrong or right, it doesn't make any significance because three points is straightened up to the club that fought so hard to score goals other than the ones that keep full dominance of the game. Football changing faster than we could even understand. We can't comprehend the picture but watching the likes of mediocre teams been lucky against the top sides.

In football, sometimes strong teams are not always lucky. And sometimes we quite often see strong teams dominating possession of the ball during a match but they have difficulty scoring goals and end up losing. Things like this are happening even more frequently this season. This also shows that variations in a club's strategy to beat its opponents are growing. So weak teams often use defensive and attacking strategies which are sometimes effective strategies for beating strong teams. Although that doesn't always happen. But strong teams that cannot adapt to all this will ultimately be eliminated. So it is not surprising if we see a strong team that got a good ranking last season then gets a low ranking this season. And if we look at their game, we will be able to see that they are still good at dominating a match, but they have difficulty scoring goals because their opponents focus on defense and then suddenly attack and make the strong team off guard and concede. At UCL it will be the same. Last season, we could even see that the team that qualified for the semi-finals was dominated by the team that was not the favorite. And it's possible that this season the same thing will happen.

It depends on the condition of the strong club if you really want to see whether the club is lucky or not.
For example, Manchester City is currently very strong but the conditions of the players who are very reliable do not have injury problems or other problems so that a strong club like Manchester City will not be unlucky unless Manchester City condition looks strong but always succeeds with a narrow score because it has problems injured players like Haaland.

In the Premier League, maybe Arsenal is still the favorite in competing for the trophy, but in the Champions League it is a big competition different to the Premier League. In the Champions League there are still Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan who are still Arsenal's tough challenges, maybe Arsenal can beat Manchester City in the domestic league but as we know, Manchester City's performance in the Champions League is very strong, they are very focused in terms of attack and defense, they are also very strong, so I doubt that if Arsenal faced Manchester City in a different competition, whether Arsenal could beat them.

What you are saying is true that the atmosphere between the Champions League and the Premier League is very different and maybe even the journey of a club in the Champions League will be more difficult than they play in the league, but somehow when I see Arsenal play at home I am quite sure if Arsenal will be able to beat Porto, Arsenal home record this season is quite good and even they perform quite solid when playing at Emirates Stadium,  I don't think we can underestimate Arsenal just because they lost 1-0 in the first leg, especially when we saw often Arsenal make surprising comebacks when playing at Emirates Stadium so far.
