This Manchester City - Real Madrid game didn’t disappoint at all. The heavyweights entertained us tonight with beautiful goals and thrillers during the game. Even though Manchester City are a dominant team and are very competent, they still new champions in the tournament and will always have a difficult time facing Real Madrid, a club which has football heritage.

What an entertaining football from both clubs, as they displayed their talents. Assuming Foden was not injured Pep never wanted to make changes, he prefer the squad that started the match to finish the match. The game is still 50-50, and of these cluba can qualify to the semifinals depending on whatever will happen in Etihad Stadium.

Manchester city was able to fight for draw away just like what they did last season, and they were able to control  the second half which led to scoring two goal. Real Madrid was quite fast ro equalize the goal with an outstanding one touch finish from Valverde. Such great young talented players impressed me today.

Bayern got a penalty in the 36th minute and Harry Kane stepped up to take it for sure, you just have to know his going to convert and he did as expected, the game is now Arsenal 1:2 Bayern Munich. Obviously the first half is going to be a loss yo Arsenal as I don’t see them coming back from this even with them being the better side. They would need to go in the dressing room for some tactical and morale boost talk from the manager and spring back to grab 2 goals in the second half, they just have to. This game is supposed to end in a win to Arsenal, it ain’t a game to end in a draw.

Real Madrid happens to be leading in their fixture against Manchester City as I hoped. Manchester City haven’t been in the best of form and that is what we are seeing here in the UCL.

So far the match is going well for Real Madrid favour, although is very tough for the both teams because there performance are also good, however I'm surprised to see that Manchester City is not too consistent on this match because they had the privilege of scoring the first goal but could not maintain it, although after they score the goal it was as if they woke the lion on Real Madrid because it was not upto 15 minutes they had already equalize and was leading Manchester City with 2-1.

Although I had already imagine the outcome of the match to be like this because real Madrid has been considered to be more experience than Manchester City in terms of champions league and perhaps that is exactly what they are using against them on this match, however Manchester City seem to have been dominating on this early minutes of this second half, however let's see if Manchester City will retaliate on this second half.

It is not over yet for Manchester city as Foden have brought hope back to the club by equizing the second goal with a beautiful finish on the 66th minutes to make it 2-2.

Gvardiol have scored with a powerful shot to put Manchester city on the lead on the 72nd mins. The game is 3-2 against Real Madrid.

On the other hand Arsenal have also equalized their goal with a by Trossad with a wonderful finish on the 76th minutes, and it is 2-2.

The match is really something else because with the way the match is going now we did not expect it, imagine how Manchester City scored on the first half and real Madrid equalize and was leading them, all of a sudden Manchester City change there pattern of play and equalize the goal also leading with 3-2 against real Madrid, although real Madrid was very lucky because Manchester City would have almost win them because on the 71 minutes of the match Manchester City was still leading with 3-2 before they later equalize.

Actually today's matches between Manchester City against real Madrid and Arsenal against Bayern Munich was like the final match of the league because it was a tough match for all the clubs and non of the clubs shown any weakness against each other, however Arsenal perform really good beyond my expectation because I was thinking that since they did not have much champions league experience they will find it difficult but they handled themselves very well.

This match did not meet my expectations, previously I hoped that Arsenal could calm down this match. since Saka scored a quick goal in the 12th minute, I was quite confident that Arsenal would score again and win the match. but unfortunately, the two goals scored by Bayern Munich were purely the fault of the Arsenal players. Munich's first goal, Arsenal players made a pass and made a blunder. second goal, an Arsenal player blocked a Bayern Munich player in the penalty box. which in the end, was executed well by Harry Kane. fortunately, Trossard is once again a supersub player you can rely on. In the end, The Gunner was able to equalize 2-2. However, the two goals scored by Arsenal players were quite unique, as well as Arsenal being superior based on ball possession, opportunities and superior tactically. In the next match, Arsenal played at the Allianz Arena. Actually, I don't have any idea regarding the second leg match.


Madrid vs City, I often said in previous posts, the first leg has the potential to end in a draw. and yeah, finally the match ended in a draw. even though in truth, I favor Manchester City. In this match, City really dominated the match as I expected. but it turns out, Carlo Ancelotti really changed his pattern and system. Madrid mostly uses counter attacks. and they were able to take advantage of a counter attack and score a goal.  Quite an exciting match, however. Madrid didn't play as they should. When the time comes to play at the Etihad Stadium, Real Madrid must be ready because City usually play much more aggressively at home.

The match was very entertaining, we rarely saw many goals in the quarter final of UCL. Today, we have 6 goals, this deserves to be the final match. Unfortunately, the match Real Madrid vs Man City must happen in the quarter final. However, I think it is no problem, which team to win the Leg 2 probably has the highest chance to be in the final round. I think there are no other teams that have very balanced teams in each line like Real Madrid and Man City.

In today match, Man City more dominated the ball possession but Real Madrid could play more effective because they succeed to make more shot attempts. I think for the Leg 2, it will be the same as the match today. Man City probably dominated the ball possessions and Real Madrid will play more effectively again. However, I really hope Ancolotti to change a bit the formation and tactics. I assume the will be better to use the formation 4-2-2-2. They used this formation when they defeated Athletic Club few days ago.

Today's game was really tough, so right now all the four teams still have hope to qualify for the next round, but the most favourite teams are Bayern and Manchester city because they are the host of the second leg, Manchester city really dominated the ball possession, Pass Accuracy, Accurate Passes and also Shots On Target, so if they could succeed in achieving all this in Madrid home then it clear that they have full hope on winning the match, the only thing that Real Madrid maintain was just Expected Goals: 0.63 - 0.83.

Arsenal have really tried to make things happen but unfortunately it didn't work out, they really tried their best even by equalising the second goal, this alone will allow them to have breadth air, at least the have less to defend for finishing draw.

Draw was what I was expecting from both matches before the game started, and that is what really happened. I knew it would be difficult for Arsenal to just win Bayern Munich despite being the hosts of the game, and for Manchester City against Real Madrid, I observed that the performances of both teams were on the same level, so I thought if Real Madrid did not win the match, it would be a possible draw. As you talk of the favourite teams to qualify for the next round, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are undeniable because even from today's match the performance of this teams was really good enough, so getting advantage of playing at home again will give them confidence to play more than they really played today. But let us know that anything can still happen in football, and this draw can boost their morale.

The Arsenal coach made really good substitutions, and the players who came in are the players who created the goal to make the game equal. Arsenal  had a very good last-minute chance, and an opportunity for Saka to win the game for Arsenal and give Arsenal an opportunity to win, but he stuck out a leg, and the penalty was not given. Arsenal will prepare to face Bayern again in eight days, and although it is not a good result, Arsenal coach has the bluepint from this game to prepare for that game. He will know that Kiwior should not start, and that he needs to find a way for Martinelli to play well from his side if he will start ahead of Trossard.

Arteta started everything with a wrong style, I expected Trossard starting this match but all my expectations went wrong, the little time Gabriel j and Trossard entered the match I felt a huge impact like a live in the match. Saka had all the chance saving the team but just alittle mistake ruined everything, I also expected a penalty but I don't get cause everything looked complicated. Arteta should be smart when it comes to key starters. Even with Trossard goal Bayern have  higher chance defeating Arsenal at Allianz, the only hope here for Arsenal they have good record when it comes to an away match. I really enjoyed today match especially the Manchester city vs Real Madrid match, tough draw from both teams including the Arsenal vs Bayern.

Arsenal will be playing away in Bayern Munich home, and it is not going to be an easy match for Arsenal, but I they can put themse8together and stay focus on the game, playing their best, it might be possible for them to achieve victory away. This is because Bayern Munich is weak this season, and they are not as strong as before. They have lost several times at home this season, so I am not worried about the home advantage. However, no one should underestimate Bayern Munich because they are not in form, because they can still surprise us on the day.

All the matches were tough, but you see, this match between Real Madrid and Manchester City is still unpredictable, and I was fully putting my hope on Real Madrid to win, which they almost got, and even in the Etihad stadium, I won’t still say that Manchester City are going to win because Real Madrid have shown good; they are against Manchester City this evening, so to me, this performance that was shown by Real Madrid this evening made me have no doubts anymore. I believe even if they go to Etihad, this same thing may happen; in fact, they can even win Manchester City because they made the game very tough this evening for both sides. 

For Arsenal and Bayern Munich, although I didn’t much hope that Arsenal were going to win the game because of how good Bayern Munich are in the Champions League competition, even when I saw the result, it was a surprise to me because I thought Bayern Munich were going to do much better than this and win the game by all means to avoid missing the opportunity, though they also tried.

The fact that Manchester City scored all the goals from outside the penalty area shows that Real Madrid actually defended what they thought, but it was insufficient. If you concede 3 such goals in the same match, there is a problem somewhere. The goals from Silva, Foden and Gvardiol were excellent. It's not just Lunin's fault, it's also the defense's fault for making those shots. Let's blame the free-kick goal only on the goalkeeper, but in the other two goals, the defense should have prevented those shots and blocked them.

Yes, that's impressive even though it's a bit annoying for me, it should have been Real Madrid 2 - 3 Manchester City until the end of the match, currently the score is Real Madrid 3 - 3 Manchester City, still a comfort zone for my -0.5 handicap bet after the first half, Hopefully Real Madrid doesn't add to their goals or hopefully Manchester City wins this match so my bet is safe as well as my answer on BSFL .

BTW, Arsenal are also great with their goals, but they have to win this match to maintain their mentality when they visit Allianz in the second leg.

These two matches at the start of the UCL really produced very impressive matches. And they even have very tight competition. The result was the same, all draws. This proves that in this first leg, they really looked good together to meet and compete. In fact, it was so harmonious, it was like a final, especially for Real Madrid and Man City. However, with the 3-3 result between Real Madrid and Man City, it is really quite satisfying

The two matches was was very interesting match tonight and also tough match, because they didn't gree for each other both of them really mean the match to win. Expecially the match between the real Madrid and Manchester city was wonderful funny game due how both of the teams was reach other back to back, but real Madrid make a big mistake if not they could win the match the time that they was leading Manchester city by 2 -1 they refuse to hold their consistent that's why Manchester city use the advantage and equalized Back. I didn't expect that the match will definitely end up in draw but Manchester city put much effort and lead the game to draw.

I am disappointed with the results of this match because Real Madrid still failed to improve their meeting record with Manchester City. Real Madrid only won 1 match against Manchester City in the last 6 matches, while they only had 2 draws (including this one) and the rest were won by Manchester City.

In my opinion, Real Madrid is in danger of not qualifying for the semifinals this season after ending the match 3-3 today at the Bernabeu. Manchester City have a good home record against Real Madrid in the Champions League, so I think Real Madrid's chances of making the semifinals are getting lower. But personally I hope Real Madrid can win in the second leg, especially because Manchester City seemed to have weaknesses in their defense in today's first leg.

I was striked with their very performances, both matches where very much interesting with fascinating goals that is just unbelievable. Arsenal played really good but my intentions was for them to win tonights game very sad how they nearly lost it till Trossard came in to equalize. I think comparing both matches, City VS Madrid was the most interesting, really best of the best competing and compulsory how one must drop for the other to move on, the match was the toughest as both teams scored brilliant goals. Oh my God, i though i was the only one who felt this way. The actions from both team were thrilling and i am so proud of all the teams. Let me start from Arsenal and Bayern Munich i could remember that i predicted the game to be draw but a 1:1 draw. Surprisingly Bayern Munich were taking the lead, then i felt it was over but Arsenal came back. It was an interesting game to watch, so glad that i did not miss any mention. However so many persons were expecting Bayern Munich  to win the game. Yet, let us done forget the last minute of Arsenal plays, if Saka was successful to get the penalty it would have been a win for Arsenal. Quite unlucky for Arsenal.

The matches played tonight in the champions league were a very great one and none of the teams that participated in today’s match allowed their opponents to beat them. This was an indeed a six goal match thriller and I was expecting to see more goals which was not possible again before the end of the match. We still have a very tough match to be played at the Etihad Stadium but I still feel the location of the match will not decide who will win and qualify for the next round.

I am very impressed with the way Arsenal played today even though they made some blunders rage caused them to concede in the match. Finishing the match in a tie breath note hopes for Arsenal at Allianz Arena when they’ll be playing the second leg match of this round. Arsenal really did well and many that thought that Arsenal will be a simple team for Bayern Munich to pass through can now see how the game is going. However, this is not an easy task for them, because Barcelona cannot be underestimated. Even though Barcelona is widely considered to be in decline, they are still a dangerous club and they also show that when they are in 2nd place in La Liga now.

Paris Saint Germain is a club that targets every season to win their first Champions League trophy, but until now they have always failed, will they fail again this season? Let's wait and see.

PSG's draw in Ligue 1 is unimportant, it does not affect anything, and as you said, it was not the main squad that played, that says it all.

Everyone knows that PSG want to win the Champions League, but this year PSG is acting very modestly without much publicity, about how important it is for them to win their first Champions League. Messi and Neymar left the team, without them no one hoped, that this would be possible. First rhem need to beat Barcelona, it seems to me that this is possible.

While we're getting closer to the game between PSG and Barcelona there are more news and articles about this match. It was very good for Arsenal that they were unbeaten, they still have a chance and they should make good use of this chance.
