Seeing the final results of this match, I was so surprised to see the final scoreline of the match between Barcelona and PSG. I was of the opinion and thought that PSG will prevail against Barcelona and win all three points today. But since the game of football is unpredictable, even in PSG’s home they cannot hold a team like Barcelona that lack consistency and have most of their good players out injured that plays from the midfield. Atletico Madrid final scoreline against Dortmund was not surprising to me because Atletico Madrid are more experienced and play  better football than Dortmund does in their league.  Their result wasn’t surprising as to what I saw in tge PSG and Barcelona match this night.

Honestly, I'm not surprised by what happened, of course because I think PSG doesn't have good squad depth in their midfield. Barcelona has Gundogan, Roberto and De Jong as midfielders, while PSG relies on Vitinha, Lee Kang-in and Fabian Ruiz as midfielders. It was clear that Barcelona had the advantage there even though they actually had several young players in their line-up in the first half.

If you want to judge by the midfield in the first half, I think PSG's midfield did a better job. Barcelona had no DM and Frenkie was not himself today. Barcelona suffered in the first half because of their midfield, they could not control the game.
What helped Barcelona is the way they defended. They defended well, as a team, and didn't attack too much. If you notice you'll see that whenever they're on the counter only about 3 players are going forward, 4 at most, and that 4th is Gundugan. If another player who's not an attacker has already gone forward to complete 4 in attack on the counter, the rest sit back and cover for him. This helped to neutralize the pace of the PSG attack.
I think Xavi got his tactics spot on. He was so on point.
Cancelo did a good job keeping Dembele quiet so he had to switch. One of PSG's problems is the lack of a 9. If you notice the middle was always empty, they only attacked from the wing which made them too predictable.

PSG has a garbage goalkeeper who cannot keep calm while staying in front of his goal net. It was quite frustrating to see how the goalkeeper was always trying to prevent the ball or crossing by moving away from his position, and he could not even trust his team to defend it.
PSG's defenders are so crap as they did nothing in this match which was also putting the goalkeeper in panic when it came to the crossing by Barcelona. Well, PSG deserved it since club played so garbage at home. Barcelona has a better quality here compared to the PSG and it's obvious.

Barcelona's odds was pretty damn good and people got almost 4x return from winning this match. Congrats for any of barcelona bettors in this match. You guys were getting decent reward from the barcelona's match tonight.
Things are going even harder for PSG in order to get UCL trophy this season. Enrique was former of barcelona's coach but he didn't even understand how to prevent it from winning by putting 10 players as defenders and used direct counter attack to score.

So many turns yo yesterday’s game between PSG and Barcelona. Coming from behind to take the lead just when you was getting comfortable. Barcelona came out strong and started the scoring but soon after, PSG found a way to equalize and even took the lead, thanks to the ingenuity of Ousmane Dembélé, the formal Barcelona player just minutes in the second half and not far from that time, PSG had a second goal. I really thought it was up for Barcelona but no, they got right back into the game, scored an equalizer and even had their win by 3 goals to 2. That was surprising! While yesterday’s games produced 2 draws, today’s games produced 2 wins to the Spanish side.

surprised at what all these guys are playing because even PSG of all clubs could not even manage Barcelona, they both have six shots on target and possession. PSG got more numbers than Barcelona and I was already expecting PSG to be able to beat Barcelona and see what happened. And if you look at what PSG tried, they would have even tried there best and left the game with a draw. From the first half, they would not have given psg that opportunity to even score they would have played 50% defensive and 50% attacking   there focus was all aiming winning, and some times that can make you lose focus. and Barca did a good job but I was still disappointed at what PSG played tonight. Atletico Madrid scoring those first two goals during the first half made everything easy for them. That is the same thing Barcelona did.

Dortmund is only losing one aggregate which is quite easy to comeback, and it is possible for them to seek revenge against Atletico Madrid when the game takes place at Signal Iduna Park and atletico madrid must be careful considering the fact that dortmund was always able to play better when it was playing at home. In their most recent game, Atletico Madrid defeated Dortmund by a narrow margin which can still be surpassed as long as dortmund will not be an opportunity. That is an impressive result, but Dortmund has historically performed well at home and i think that the chance is still there as long as dortmund will have learned from the mistakes that happened in the first leg. There was a 100% penalty for Arsenal when the Bayern goalkeeper stopped Bukayo Saka. What's the point of having VAR, when such obvious situations aren't considered a foul? I don't know why Tomas Tuchel also wanted a penalty. An Arsenal player touched the ball with hands, because he didn't know that the game wasn't stopped by the referee. This doesn't seem like a legit reason to get a penalty.

The match between Arsenal and Bayern had too many problems with the referee. He ignored the situation where Gabriel held the ball with his hand in the penalty area and thought it was a "childish mistake" so he did not decide to give a penalty for Bayern in the match like a quarter-finals match, which was silly.

Next, the situation where Saka was fouled at the end of the second half deserved a penalty and the situation where Kane elbowed him clearly but there was no red card while he was standing very close to that situation. I think UEFA will have appropriate punishments for this referee.

Anyway, lots of goals in this round of the Champions League, which is great for the neutral fans like me. Manchester City and Real Madrid also did a great game with beautiful goals by Phil Foden and Federico Valverde. I expect City to finally eliminate Real Madrid in the next match in England.

The game was a bit exciting but I'd continue saying it that PSG are not meant to be in the champions league, both teams have so many young players in the the squad that they can't make a complete pass in front of goal and PSG have lots of unfamiliar faces that doesn't have enough experience in the champions league.
If these are the players that do dominate the French Ligue 1 then the other teams in the Ligue 1 are not serious, PSG's best set is that of Ibrahimovic, Cavani and the rest of them, if those guys can't win the champions league back then, then I don't see these set of players doing it either.
I can't really tell if Barcelona was that aggressive in that encounter or not, the Spanish side was playing without pressure when they were losing the game until they equalizer while PSG was having runners who could not get something positive like I PSG style of play became irritating.
I now see why Mbappe wants to leave, the club can't give him what he wants and the players are not there to help him get that UCL trophy. The return leg is going to be the last bus stop for PSG, Barcelona will beat them starting from their midfield just like they did in the first leg to the goalpost.

I am inclined to believe that Inter was a more difficult opponent for Atletico than Dortmund. I assume that the guests will play as they did in the match with PSG, mainly in defense with periodic counterattacks, if they are lucky enough to score, they will simply kick the ball away from their goal. I expect victory from Atletico today, Dortmund are not good enough to beat Atletico in Madrid.
In the PSG - Barcelona match, for me the opponents are equal, despite the fact that PSG is playing at home, I think that they will not have a big advantage, and the match can be cautious, there will not be many goals, so one goal can decide the outcome of the match.

It's like a rock-paper-scissors type of situation. Inter is far better than Dortmund, and yet Dortmund could be better than Athletico Madrid, whereas Athletico Madrid managed to beat Inter. Plus, there are "days" for teams, Inter if you ask me is far better than Athletico Madrid, but unlucky for them that they played a very bad game at the second leg and lost.

It is definitely looking like a regret for them, because they are doing so great at league, and doing great at their own cup too, so it looks like UCL could have been nice. I am not saying they could have won it, but they could have beaten Dortmund too, so a semi finals at least would be guaranteed. In the end, I wish luck to both ATM and Dortmund and lets see which one will win.

It is very natural that PSG is still in the favorite in today's match because after all they are now in their own home so it is very natural that they are favorites but honestly in terms of the game in this match I actually feel that Barcelona is better in terms of performance than what PsG shows.
PSG is indeed good but in terms of movement and maturity in attack I think the Barcelona midfield is more able to dictate the game and until now I think it is still proven.

In the end what i feared happened was that PSG tried to dominate but it backfired on them as they tried to be more determined in attack especially after Barcelona equalized the score in this match . PSG are good at trying to control the attack but they don't realize that Barcelona and Xavi know that when the tension is strong like that it will be a good momentum for them.

Christensen's 3rd goal 10 minutes before the end made the situation of PSG erratic and no matter how strong the attack they did was not very effective because PSG's determination was a condition that Barcelona expected in this match because with that they could create an attacking scheme and knew how to deal with PSG well.

It was as if they were going to loss in the encounter between PSG and Barca and while I was anticipating a draw, PSG just couldn't do anything about the midfield control from Barca. The goal difference isn't that much and although the chances are slim for a comeback from PSG in their next leg, I doubt they would do much to win the Barca side that is still way stronger than as thought in this season.
Atletico was actually my favorite to win last night and they didn't prove me wrong at all.
