Aston Villa might have started the season very slow, but I have always known that Arsenal playing away against Aston Villa is never an easy fixture in recent years, so I am not surprised on how tight the match was or the outcome of the game. Aston Villa might have lost 4-0 to Brighton in the opening week of the premier league,  but that does not change the fact that they are a very good team when playing at home. I think they had a decent game, despite losing to Arsenal. Arsenal is just a stronger team and I believe that Aston Villa can build on their performance yesterday and hopefully get back to winning ways.

This is a fact, Aston Villa match day 2 was against Arsenal a tough game and it's really tough looking at their past meetings in recent seasons and while they lost it doesn't disregard how dangerous they can be.

This is only Match Day two 36 games awaits for us to judge fully if they are declining or are just going to find their feet soon and dominate again to be among top 7 of the league or even higher like we have seen lately.

I’m actually really struck by the top 4. Hull City has managed to secure third place. Although it’s still very early days.

This is pretty surprising for a newly promoted team. But looking at the facts on Transfer Hull is the team that made the most new player purchases. They have 17 players coming in and 15 players going out. This means Hull doesn’t just want to be a bystander this season. They are genuinely making an effort to compete with other EPL teams. But we do understand the season is still very long and there will be many tough tests; for a promoted team, surviving the first season in the EPL is quite good in my opinion.

If we look at this match, we can see that Arsenal did not attack much in this match and they finished the whole match by creating a strong position in their midfield. Arsenal was in control throughout this match and I myself thought before the match started that the result of the match could be 2-0 or 2-1. Because this match was at Aston Villa's home ground. If we compare this season with last season, we can see that Aston Villa's team has changed almost completely. New players have been added to the team and it may take some time for these players to adapt to the team.

I won’t say they’ll playing an attack score and defend kind of game, it was a fiercely contested game between Arsenal and Villa. The Arsenal goal was even a lucky one and if not for that there was nothing else for Arsenal or Villa in that game, it could have been a draw.

What I’ll say is that Arsenal have matured as a big team now and know how to grind out goals to Win a match no matter how tight it becomes.

It's not like Gunners are infallible or defensive minded, it's just rivalry in fact one of the toughest EPL team Gunners have suffer defeat from in most recent seasons is Aston Villa and that's a good reason the game was difficult.

Aside the fact that Aston villa didn't start the season well isn't disrupting the fact that they could still trouble Gunners and the fact that they won doesn't mean Gunners are now mature and out of their inconsistency,  I will only comment on that after more than of the game weeks have gone passed.

Reason why I think they’ve matured is because they were able to grind out victory last season in tough games and that’s how they won the league and they’ve continued in that form, so it has become a part of them. We can only wait to see if they’ll replicate that tenacity and strength this season.

Yes, it’s true Aston Villa have been one of the toughest opponents for Arsenal in recent times, they’ve caused them the league at one point. So a match against Villa is always a battle since Unai Emery came here has been a torn in Arsenal’s flesh.

Indeed, it wasn't the best start for Liverpool. Unfortunately, they had to face Newcastle right out of the gate, resulting in a 2–2 draw.

A draw with Newcastle isn't a totally bad start in my opinion because Newcastle United themselves aren't a small team either that Liverpool can win just like that; a point share is the best thing for both sides than having one lose out, Also Newcastle themselves are still entitled to win the game, because winning isn't only meant for Liverpool, both teams came to the match with the same goal, and it happens that no one had a better chance, and it ended in a draw. Let them restrategize for a victory in their next game.

Liverpool still does not change at all. Another draw in the second match. It’s actually pretty disheartening. I thought Liverpool would be different this season. But it turns out the start has been even worse. Other clubs are racing for the top spots, Liverpool is different. This club only managed two draws and sits in 13th place. With an equal number of goals scored and conceded, four of each.

The shocker here is seeing Hull City in this mix after two matches, with Manchester United from before the end of last season and them playing newly promoted Hull City in their opening match was almost a sure winning for them but how Hull City managed to turn things over into their own favour is what still beats me up till now, it happened two weeks ago but I'm still surprised at it, Manchester United couldn't score a single goal against Hull City. That match was the shocker because it paved way for them to be here, winning against Coventry was normal, they are in the same category of average teams. Only if they had won, they too will be here after two games played already.

 Aston Villa is one of Arsenal's biggest nightmares. I'm not sure how they do it, but they are a very difficult team to defeat easily, so anyone playing against them needs to be prepared. Arsenal was even fortunate enough to score one goal. In the long run, we must acknowledge that Arsenal appears to be more prepared for this season and that they still possess the spirit of champions, but I don't want to conclude that Arsenal will win the league. Saka did a fantastic job winning the game for Arsenal because without the goal he scored, I doubt they would have been able to win that game. And Arsenal are becoming serious, but they should not forget that they have a lot of work to do this season that is if they really want to win the league.

Aston Villa have sold most of their best players, and that's why I don't expect much from them this season, they were a strong team last season, but they are significantly weaker now. And so I don't know exactly how far they can go. Their next game is against Hull City, who beat Manchester United in their first game, Hull City are a new team but they are performing quite well, and so let's see how Aston Villa perform against Hull City in the next game. And besides, the Champions League is about to start, and the first game is Aston Villa, and they start the match with Club Brugge, anyway, with all the good players sold, it really remains to be seen how they will perform this season.

Last season Aston Villa beat him at the last minute of the game but this time Arteta changed that's presspective and come out with a Victory they played good game as they always played the same score a goal and then start pressing the team and defend your goal until the last minute of the game and it's worked this time but this Arteta side are the same as they are last season Offcource they win the trophy at the start of the season but they need some changes and maybe Arteta know that's. Instead uni Emery also strengthen their squad and they are ready for this season. Last season they won the Europa League and now this season they are playing Ucl and it will be changeling for alot of team.

Last season I feel most teams were underperforming and that's why it was possible for no one to capitalise on their lapses but I know they deserve some commendation yet it's too early to fully say they are matured because they have shown similar play but lack consistency and so I will view them in this light until the season ends.

Well, it's still too early to judge any team for now, despite the double losses from Aston Villa, I can't still write them off, because I know how dangerous they can be, but on a nutshell their first game was not really impressive, like it was awful by conceding four goals from Brighton, and again Arsenal, it was really embarrassing but let's just watch how they will go about this season, the first lost was unbelievable while the second lost was actually expected, so they have Hull City to play next and Hull City seem to be in a good form, but let's see how the game goes.

Arsenal struggled vividly in that match and narrowly escaped sharing points, it was a lucky win and nothing more. Selling their players is business, maybe the business model of Aston Villa is to buy players, improve thier quality and sell for profit. Let's not forget in a hurry that they also won Europa league last season, demonstrating their ability to win trophies.

It is too early to be conclusive, If the poor quality team could hold Arsenal to such a ransom, maybe they can still do better as the league advances. It is wrong to measure progress after 2 league matches, fans should allow Emery cook these lads for a while.
People thought Alonso would start poorly after loosing Cucurella and Enzo to transfer and Caicedo to injury, but he had a good start. Let's allow coaches do what they can before we start concluding.

I wouldn't consider Aston Villa as a weak team for losing two games. After seeing how Aston Villa played last season, I don't think losing two games is a sign of weakness. Even if you look at the big teams, you will see that this happens to big teams at the beginning of the season. Now the question is how Aston Villa can accept this bad situation and come back. We have seen Villa go through difficult times under Emery before and become consistent. So I am still optimistic about Aston Villa.

There is nothing to say about Hull City, they have started very well and have received praise. Confidence is very important in the beginning of the new season. But the real test for them is how they will be consistent in the next long season.

I agree with you that arsenal have a quality team that will win and dominate this Aston Villa side presently, but the reason Aston Villa lost to arsenal last week was as a result of their team that has been weakened, by the selling of Morgan Rogers, Ollie watkins and their goalkeeper Martinez that went to Chelsea.

The players brought in as replacement were not good enough like these players that left, especially garnacho that is a complete waste of money, so i believe that if these players I made mentioned where present, they would at least gotten a draw in that game against arsenal that they lost.

Last season, even with the best players, we saw how Aston villa struggled at the beginning, then they later came back to form. We should not start underestimating a team like Villa. Even with the average players, we saw how they gave Arsenal a tough time. Unai Emery is a good manager, I am sure he can build his team well before UCL.

Hull city played well in their first two games and even defeated Man United, but Aston villa will surely beat them away from home. Speaking of the UCL, I can't really tell how their performance would be, they have tough fixtures in their league phase, but for the first three games, I can say they have 70% of winning. The remaining fixtures is against tough teams, but can still survive the group stages if they finally come back in form.
