I still think Michael Carrick is a decent manager with potential,  so I don't expect the board to put too much pressure on him. He has only managed to get 4 points in a possible 9 points game. I agree with you that he cost them the first game of the season and also his changes in the last game also affected the game, but I still believe that he is a decent manager and will get the team winning soon. I just think that Manchester United fans should not expect him to win the premier league this season,  because I don't think he can, but he will be able to do it if he is giving time on the job.

He added some new players into the team which is why we are seeing those flaws. When the new players have fully understood his game tactics and blend with it, winning will become easy.

However, Carrick should focus more on winning and stop making some decisions that will affect the outcome of the game in the favour of his opponents. I believe United will be better soon.

This experimental decision in serious games stands as the reason Manchester united still keep retarding in performance in the few games played so far this season, at first it was the introduction of Patrick at the front line when they have better options like Marcus Rashford and do on, although in the absence of a Rashford Patrick did perfectly well but need to keep him focused on his position instead of putting him in an unnecessary pressure. Not only this was the reason for their dramatic draw against Everton, some minor mistakes where spotted which i know will be corrected in there next games.
Am not of the opinion that he is not a good coach but he should work fast to identify the most preferred players in all their positions the same way he did last season after taking over from Amorim.

You really shouldn't be surprised in a situation like this. If you remember last season's success, Amorim played a part in it. What I mean is that Carrick inherited a squad that had been built by Amorim, and Carrick was smart enough to continue using that squad while implementing different tactics and strategies.

Now, however, Carrick has started bringing in new players, while some players have also left the club. This means the manager has to adapt and find a way to build chemistry between the new and existing players. On top of that, other teams in the EPL have started improving after bringing in new players, and that has also made it harder for Carrick to lead Man United to maximum points.

So, MU need a little time to find their best form. At the moment, Carrick's main objective is not simply winning games to compete for the title. Instead, his goal is to maintain the squad's consistency and keep Man United in the top 3.

I get what you said about Carrick inheriting Amorim squad and now having to build around new player but that is also where the main test of a manager starts, because every big club we see today has passed through changes in personnel, and the manager normally finds solutions quickly and I agree that Carrick deserves some time, but if Man United are aiming for the top 3, definitely they need to start showing in their performances and results from now.

Manchester United fans gives me the ick, God damn! This was the same exact point of Ruben Amorim immediately after match day 3 in the Premier League Competition, last season. All of a sudden, Michael Carrick shouldn't be pressured? Where are the goddamn bloody standards you demand from Ruben Amorim last season?
We do not need a decent manager, we have seen that over the years, we need a manager like Hansi Flick who can get us to win games and win trophies. We should raise our fvckn standards every season but look at us,  reducing and depreciating despite all the transfer done to bring in players.

Alonso is new to Chelsea. Also he is new to Premier League and lacks extensive experience. Nevertheless, managing this team and bringing stability to their performance might be somewhat easier for him, as he won't be dealing with any congested fixture schedule. But their defense is not particularly strong. Therefore, his primary objective should be to fortify defense side.

I am not certain if Alonso will be able to finish ahead of United in standings. Michael Carrick's squad is also very strong. While the team did not get off to the expected start but Carrick's side cannot be underestimated this season.

You said Alonso lacks experience? I think you're mistaken on this because he has succeeded in winning trophies with Leverkusen, and he also coached Madrid even though he failed but coaching Madrid is not easy, especially with so many star players who are hard to manage. As for experience coaching an EPL team, it's true that Xabi doesn't have it, but he has been a player for one of the EPL teams when he was a player, so of course indirectly he already understands the character of every EPL team. Plus like you said earlier Chelsea with Xabi this season is advantaged by not having a packed schedule because they are not playing in European competitions which will be a plus for Xabi to compete for trophies.

Our loss to Arsenal doesn’t automatically mean Chelsea is out of the race for trophies. In fact, in my opinion, losing to Arsenal isn’t that painful because they put up such a tough fight, and even looking at the stats, Chelsea could match Arsenal. So it can be concluded that under Xabi Alonso, Chelsea has experienced significant improvement, and most likely, Chelsea will continue to improve their performance. League is still very fresh to decide who will be the top three or Champions league qualifier. The way Man United started this season must not be liked by their fans. Man United was able to finish 3rd least season because of their good performance towards the end of the last season and we were expecting a good show from them this season but in three weeks they are not able to impress anyone with there performance. The start os every season just give us idea that how teams are prepared for this season.

I agree Man utd aint looking special at all for me now. They should have bringed more big players. I think they dont waste much money on transfer to bring some big stars like Man City for example does. I still think that their main goal will only be to reach the top 4 and that is the max they can do in the league while in champions league they cannot do anything

On a normal day, if Manchester City catches Leed United, they are going to use them to celebrate goals, even Chelsea massacre them with goals everywhere but when Manchester United played them, they couldn't win the match, the match ended as draw and they think they can win Manchester City, it's impossible except if Manchester City mistakenly tap a player that may result to red card. They have low chance of winning this match even if they try.

If you check Manchester United and City head to head matches in the last 5 games, they draw just one game and that was the time City were not balance, the time Guardiola was having hard time. They have not win any match against City. The way Haaland is screening number of goals in Premier league, I'm very sure he is going to feast very well on this match.

And I'm not sure why they didn't do much during the transfer window. If a team's defense is poor, they will inevitably give up goals, which is why most of these teams concentrate more on their defense. Their performance last season gave people confidence that they would perform flawlessly, and I expect them to do better this season. Improving the midfield isn't enough; they need a solid structure to balance everything, and the players you mentioned don't have that capacity for them to win the troph

As a Manchester United long time supporter, with the current Manchester United squad, I don't know how possible it will be to beat Manchester city without proper team organisation. So far, Manchester United has not performed well to fans satisfaction this season and meeting Manchester city will only make or mar the team. But I like the fact that they have always stood up to the task in every Manchester derby. Last season under Carrick was a thunderstorm and we're hopefully expecting another good Sunday this time. However, Manchester city is going to play with carefulness to seek revenge for last season.

I’m obviously not a Man Utd fan but it’s 4-0 and they are cruising now. You can’t really judge too much this early in the season. Obviously Carrick will want to see improvement as the season goes on but tonight all he will care about is starting with 3 points.

In a game where Manchester United had less than 1.10 odd to win, a UCL game for that matter, surely they had to cruise all the way to the final whistle, no stress in that. I hoped to see them make a 5th goal, given that they hand a little above 20 minutes on the clock after the 4th goal. Anyway, that’s the UCL.

I know Manchester City will be the people’s favorite team in that match because they are in good form, but I doubt they will defeat Manchester united at old trafford this Sunday. Manchester united may be lagging behind this time round but defeating them at home is not always easy, I’m not saying Manchester united will beat Manchester City on Sunday but that match will be tough for them and whoever wins will have to earn it.
