13lbs is not so hard to achieve if Inoue wants it. I bet he will still win against Tank as long as he can still keep up with the speed and his power. But this is too optimistic that he will still be fast.

Inoue has an easier path compared to Crawford, as Spence is sure not going to allow that to happen. As we saw during their face-off, both boxers seemed to have trained well, evidenced by the shape of their bodies. Although Crawford is likely to win, he has to respect the power of Spence, as he did not become a champion and undefeated for no reason.

This fight is highly anticipated, and every boxing enthusiast has their own prediction and opinion. But no one knows how it will end; tomorrow, we will find out if the public is correct when Crawford wins.

They weren't really trash talking but were just talking and smiling during their faceoff, it seem rare to happen. I'm kind of expecting the fight to last up to 12 rounds already all because of these smiling faces.

I must say that they are a good match here though Inoue has really been building up a firm foundation of records n this field. It will be a huge challenge for Tapales but based on their face off, they seemed to be so prepared so I also guess that they could reach 12 rounds unless Inoue would show off his max strength.
Tapales seems too ready knowing that Inoue has great winning streaks. He should double his effort and give his best shot during this trainings so he will be able to counter the fast punches of Inoue. This is an exciting match and would be another opportunity for Tapales to build a good record if ever he'll bring Inoue down.

What preparation? What face-off? I don't recall that Inoue and Tapales already made a deal and have already begun their preparations for the undisputed fight.
Don't be lost mate because what they are talking above was the final face-off between Spence and Crawford before they commence their fight later.

Anyway, I agree with your words that Inoue do truly have an advantage over Tapales and just like what happened to Inoue at 188, it seems to me as well that after he fought and defeated Fulton, I don't see anyone at 122 that can give Inoue a good fight and he might be an undisputed boxer again without trying his very hard to achieve it. Unless if Casimero will catch up because I definitely think that he is a much better fit compared to Tapales, no offense.

I guess he was referring to Tapales going in the ring after Inoue beat Fulton with his 2 belts around his shoulder. And this fight has been sanctioned by the governing bodies so this fight has the blessings to happen and there should be no drama.

You mean 118 lbs? when Inoue unified all the belts? Yeah, same case here, and this is much easier. I mean got the 3 belts from the WBSS tournament and just needed the WBC belt held by Donaire that time. So at 122 lbs, he got 2 from Fulton and just one fight against Tapales to unify it. And now we are debating whether he should stay after unifying the belts and then fight Casimero or move up again.

As far as I know, Angas ng Pinas is also in that Division.  The same thought as you, I believe that Casimer can give a better fight than Tapales and Casimero had been provoking Inoue to have a match after their failed match way back when there was a pandemic.  Fulton maybe the champion but there are also newcomers in that Division and one of them is Casimero.

Though I agree that Tapales is a heavy underdog if the match realizes, Tapales have two hands to punch too.  We never know until an upset happens and it often happens in boxing. We have seen too many of these upset wins to be recalled.

Yeah but we can only rely on upsets for so much. Just cause it happened way too often doesn't mean it will happen everytime. The fact of the matter is that Inoue could take punches as much as he could deal it, and if Tapales' only saving grace is a well-placed smack in the jaw, then I say he better practice and prepare for it cause no way Inoue's going to let him be that close to beating him. I wanted to see this fight through with enough action and all that but Tapales' is at a disadvantage in stats with a tactical advantage over Inoue. He has nothing to lose but so much to gain, the same can't be said for Inoue who had this undefeated record and is still in his prime. Hope both teams bring their A-Game to this fight.

That's what we call Hail Mary shot from Tapales and to execute than, he needs to have all the luck in the world to hit Inoue perfectly in the jaw and then knock him out. Although the chances are slim, but still for those who wants to see an upset and maybe wanted to win big money, then perhaps Tapales could be the boxer that they want to bet.

But as you have said, Inoue has tough chin as well, although not a knockout out, Fulton had a good one round against Inoue, maybe round 5 wherein he hits Inoue and snap his head back, but Inoue eat those punches as it nothing has happened. So if Tapales got lucky and hit that kind of shots and with more power, will Inoue go down or it won't affect him at all?

To funny to read that Hail Mary shot since its like Tapales totally don't have a chance to win against Inoue. But I still give a benefit of a doubt to that fighter since he's still a champion but he really need to exert big efforts on training especially on watching the last clips of Inoue since for that maybe he can find some of his weaknesses that he can use when their match up is finally set.

Inoue is so tough so provably many would believe that he will take another win again when he fight against Tapales. So for being underdog on this match this should be an inspiration for Tapales to perform more better since if he can defeat Inoue will maybe this will be a huge break on his career.

If only Casimero has been more early on the division and gave up his career at 118 because his weight cannot do it anymore, he could've been a champion by now or else already on his way to fight for a championship. But since he was a bit late, Marlon Tapales was the one who waved the Filipino's flag and defeated the former unified champion, Murodjon Akhmadaliev.

Well, that's just one of the rare chances for Inoue to fight these boxers that are not stronger compared to him because since he has not had the two belts in him, there's no other chance to fight him other than bet some belts against him because he is now a celebrity fighter and to fight him will gonna have a huge prize for his opponent even if they lose the fight against him. Since Casimero has nothing to offer but a good fight, Inoue's camp will ignore him because they just don't simply take the risk and put their fighter in some worse-case situations with a potential fighter to beat him.

Casimero is just surrounded by unprofessional people some of them are ready to exploit and his lifestyle made it worse. Even after the Butler cancellation, it took nearly a year for Casimero to fight again. Whereas Tapales after becoming overweight in his supposed WBO 118 title defense, move up right away in his next fight which made Tete the interim champion elevated as the new WBO champion which he later lost to Casimero.

Meanwhile, Casimero should continue to stay active because once Inoue becomes undisputed, I believe he is the main target of the first undisputed title defense and there is no chance of saying no once that opportunity comes. If in case Tapales becomes undisputed, the more Casimero needs to stay active to force a mandatory shot probably via WBO since the IBF and WBA already had their mandatories waiting to be announced.

It will be too much to ask for Tapales's camp because we all know the reality about their upcoming bout and they just cannot rely on the luck factor alone as there's no certainty that they are going to be that lucky on their fight night. Still, it is much better for Tapales to bring his very best game in front of Inoue so that he can at least have a good image regardless of the outcome.

I wont really say that Tapales isnt capable on doing such thing yet we cant really be able to see him on owning or holding those belts for nothing. If Casimero is much better than Tapales then he should really be the ones holding those belts in the first place. Checking out on this site https://www.boxingscene.com/rankings You would see that they are now on the same weight division which is on 122 or on superbantam weight.
I dont know on what are the exact reasons why this fight hadnt been able to push through or it could really be able to happen but of course Inoue would really be focusing on getting those belts of Tapales
to be an another undisputed champion on this current division. Dont know on why Inoue is really that trying out to avoid or not really that interested at all.

Well, it is what it is because Casimero and his team already made a lot of mistakes along the way and haven't made the right planning and adjustments that concerns his career. He could've reach further than his position today but his camp always failed to make things better for their boxer, all of those power and speed were wasted because Casimero is already aging without even having a good name in the boxing industry. Either way, there is still time for him to be a champion, he just have to be more clever and mindful of their time and most of all, remain active and have at least two fights per year.

This is really crazy after the Fulton Fight now Marlon Tapales is really overkill for Naoya Inoue and they are giving Inoue what he wants for me in this fight if Marlon Tapales can not withstand the punching power of the Monster Tapales will be eaten alive in this fight for me they are rushing the Super Bantamweight for Naoya Inoue, or maybe they are underestimating Tapales so much if Marlon Tapales withstand Murodjon Akhmadaliev punches maybe he can also withstand a few punches from Inoue but that Speed is likely what I am afraid of Naoya Inoue for Tapales because that speed will surely consume him even if Tapales has the durability in withstanding it a multiple heavy shot could still damage him because of the speed,

For me, if Marlon Tapales could have any answer for that then this is going to be a one-sided fight, even though with the Filipino heart Marlon Tapales will likely become just human to the monster and I really hate to see this but I really see a one-sided fight here even though we flip the world, but if Tapales could score an upset in this coming fight then I will surely be surprised and Marlon Tapales could become a legend who will be the one to crack open a monster,

Technically, a unification fight just makes sense to happen next instead of a mandatory title defense.

It's been clear as sky that Naoya Inoue is overqualified for the Super Bantamweight. Maybe we can see the tough challenge for him on 126 but too early to discuss that for now. Regarding Marlon Tapales, many already realized the huge gap between these two boxers, and even for a PH boxing fan, we know that Tapales is up against a monster that we didn't even know if there was a chance for an upset win.

Anyhow, we can only see if Tapales will surprise us with an upset win although technically, Inoue really dominated him at everything.

When it comes to paper or specially on knock out percentage and something about speed and intelligence then we could really actually be able to tell that Inoue does have it or do really have the advantage on which
it would really be that just so normal that we would really be seeing that he does have the advantage against Tapales but i do agree on some points above that Tapales wont really be called as a champion or belt holder for nothing. We might be able to see that Fulton had already given up his belt which in terms of fight performance which it is really that a total domination or getting overwhelmed on which we could really be able to say that
this might on the same situation if he would be fighting for the other belts on which Tapales is holding.I wont really be shocked if he would really be that another again to be undisputed for this weight division but of course
Inoue shouldn't really be that confident because we know that Filipino boxers arent really that something that would really be so fragile when it comes on fighting, despite of the gaps in terms of fighting capability
but still it wont be that able to avoid on having that change of upset. Lets see on how this fight would really be ending up and November isnt really just that too far off.

I hate to say this but Tapales will just hand over the title to Inoue, in their meeting after Inoue's win against Fulton Tapales did not show confidence that he could beat Inoue, compared to Casimero who keeps daring him to fight him, its already given that Inoue will become the undisputed Super Bantamweight champion without serious opposition from anyone, he will sweep it and move on the higher division for more challenges, it's easier to make a plan when you are as good as Inoue.

I like the idea of Inoue staying in the division to defend his belts. Nery is banned from fighting in Japan due to his failed drug test and missing weight against Yamanaka. Inoue will have to either fight him in the US or fight Casimero instead. I think many Japanese people would like to see Inoue avenge their countryman, but there is also those who believe a dirty fighter like Nery doesn’t deserve another opportunity.

I have said this in my previous post that the plan of Team Inoue is to unify the super bantamweight division and defend the belts once against Nery or Casimero so if the former has a questionable reputation and banned from fighting on Japanese soil then this makes Casimero the probable opponent whenever Tapales lose this fight. It may also be a welcome sight for Japanese fight fans if indeed Casimero will be the challenger as they want Inoue to punish him as a vengeance to all the Japanese that Casimero defeated.

IMO, Casimero is the only fighter in this division who has a higher chance of defeating Inoue.

Nice catch @FinneysTrueVision. Thanks for the reminder. I almost forgot that Nery is banned in Japan. I actually didn't delve much into the issue but I wonder why the result was not changed. But it was sad seeing the long-time champion getting stopped, I remember Yamanaka even made it into the top 10 pound for pound in The Ring Magazine.

Provided Inoue unifies all the belts, I really believe that Casimero is the prime target even if Nery is not banned in Japan. Nery might not be that attractive after Brandon Figueroa demolished him. While Casimero hasn't tasted defeat for a long time. Also, Inoue and his team are well aware of Casimero's taunts and trash talks. Although I am hoping this fight to happen in the US instead of Inoue's home crowd.

@bisdak40, based on Casimero's previous fights in this division, Inoue will easily beat him in all aspects. But even though Casimero failed to stop his opponent in his last outing, he will train very hard if he is facing Inoue so I still believe that he carries that power in his punches which helped him become a 3-division champion.

For Inoue now he has the title as the holder of the Batam class belt and if he wants to defend it is the right choice because when he decides to move up to a higher class there may be many obstacles and it is not certain that Inoue succeed with his new class.
Nery was rewarded for the bad deeds he did and it was only natural for Nery to do this because drug use among athletes or fighters was common.

Inoue will still be the king of the Batam class and of course it will be difficult for other boxers to snatch the belt from Inoue's grasp.
