Going back to the Tapales, the only thing I heard is that he should used his awkwardness if there is as such tactic in boxing. And be somewhat unpredictable so that Inoue will somewhat be confused. But I don't see it enough to upset the monster. Unless Tapales landed a perfect punch and then Inoue can't recover from it. The only one that can beat Inoue here is himself, if he slacks on training and underestimated Tapales.

I don't really think Tapales is capable of beating Inoue even to survive up to the last round is a miracle for him because he is too slow for Inoue and he will take those power punches as if he is a punching bag. looks like he will be just like Charlo when he fights Canelo, he will just try to survive unless he has the power to shake Inoue but in reality, he does not and it might be just an easy win for Inoue, easier when he beats Fulton. If only Casimero holding those belts, it would be a fight of the year when they finally meet against each other inside the ring.

The fight is likely going to happen in December not next month based on this article

Quote
Negotiations for the mouthwatering four-belt unification super-bantamweight clash between Filipino Marlon Tapales and Japanese Naoya Inoue have been progressing and both camps appear headed to an agreement for a December date. The exact date in December is still up in the air.

Read more at: https://sports.tribune.net.ph/2023/09/21/tapales-inoue-almost-a-done-deal/

So it's going to be a long preparation for both fighters, and both camps, and the promotion should come out with a final date and venue so both boxers can prepare for their body, there's a risk if you overtrain and also undertrain.

Long time for preparation, I think promoters are also trying to create hypes for this unification fight. Both Inoue and Tapales will take that
time to scout analyze how and what particular fighting strategy might work from one another.

Tapales needs counters that will prevent Inoue to box him, as knowing the personality of Inoue, he's more on reading his opponents and allow to absorb
some power punch and if he feels that he can take it, expect him to be more aggressive in attacking and trying to KO you, something that Tapales needs to anticipate and prepared with.

Well Tapales is one of the boxers who is giving him another opportunity, the truth is I don't know, but on a personal level, this will be very good for Inoue, for me there will be a doubt that Inoue will win, Tapales is very good, but I think that Things will always happen depending on who has more fighting power, or strength, and technique, because personally for me Inoue is at a very high level, I think he should do other things after this fight Furthermore, I believe that Inoue has to be very attentive to having good fights, with very good results, Tapales already did it and it didn't go well, but he is one of those people who believe that with some training they will be able to do more damage than before to this fight, that's why when we are watching boxing, and we see a boxer who is like a genius, because for me Inoue is a boxing genius, he can make a difference.

Tapales already lost, the only way this fight is interesting is because it will be the unified super bantamweight title, it is the only way that interests him, but I think that in the face of this he will not have any commitment, in fact I would dare to say that This will be Inoue's last match of the year, for me the fight will be somewhat boring, I don't think Tapales has enough to pass over an Inopue who is practically flying, the Japanese trains every day, he is a man with an immense discipline, if Tapalñes has already lost he should at least wait a year to prepare better, because what he will do is look very bad, his reputation will go to the ground, and that is what a boxer wants and must take care of, I think things can be done in due time, I know that losing is not pretty, it is something ugly, but if one were to rush to look for a comeback, especially with a mouesrup like him, then one would not be in a good position, I believe that these things are that are happening now, I see that Inoue should accept challenges from more influential, more famous people, so that they can make a difference and continue increasing their good reputation.

Yes, but they have a date already, it's December and it's just about 8 weeks. Just right for a boxer to train and prepare for a fight. I remember Manny has this kind of camp, 8-12 weeks in preparation, including scouting his opponents and hard training in the gym. And when the fight is about to be on schedule, Manny is on his peak condition, no over training that's why in the fight, we could see Manny dominating his opponents.

As I have said, they could have prepare the strategy and written it down so that Tapales will not forget about it. And then execute it in their trainings and with the sparring partners they get to emulate Inoue's movement. But it's totally different though when you are in the ring with the Monster. Hopefully Tapales being a Filipino will not be afraid to engage Inoue to test him and of course, do what he should do, beat Inoue and try to knock him out.

It is really different when in the actual fight against the monster.  One can emulate the movement and style of a boxer but they will never copy the strength of punches, it is either weak or way stronger.  I hope Tapales sparring partner have punches that is way stronger than Inoue's, this way Tapales can develop a resistance to heavy punches and can't get easily knocked down by Inoue.

Aside from that, Tapales should also consider the variation of Inoue's boxing style.  I am sure Inoue's camp keeps on developing new strategies, combinations and footwork movement to surprise their opponent.

I really hope that Tapales has the power to earn Inoue's respect. Or maybe it is better if Inoue won't respect his power so we will see how it goes if Tapales lands his strongest hooks. I think Tapales has the power to shake Inoue if the Japanese underestimate his power and focus on getting the knockout.

We can only hope about Casimero being the champion but it is a reality that he himself caused losing his belt which also meant losing the chance to unify with Inoue at 118. Now he is also at 122 but so far he is fighting nobodies. Next year Casimero should get his title shot otherwise Inoue might also move up to 126.

Speaking of power, I think he's got it, considering he's KO'd 19 of his opponents in his last 37 fights. Maybe he's not as strong a puncher as Inoue, but boxers tend to improve as they learn and train harder, especially when facing a popular champion.

Honestly, I haven't seen a Filipino boxer who's really gone toe to toe with Inoue, except for Donaire. So, I'm hoping this fight is going to be an entertaining one. Tapales doesn't necessarily have to win if he can't, but he shouldn't just fight to survive.

For those who are waiting some updates on the fight, it says that it could be around Mid December,

Quote
“One week of intense training has ended,” Inoue stated in a post, accompanied by a photo sporting a chiseled physique alongside his team members. “I had a good training session and am ready to switch on for December.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/inoue-one-week-intense-training-ended-ready-switch-on-december--178188

So it's good to hear that this fight is still a go. Because there have been some doubts earlier, regarding the purse split and that the camp of Tapales didn't accept the offer. So maybe there is some stipulations on the contract and most likely the Tapales camp has agreed in terms.

What would be these stipulations? I speculate that it will depend on the event's sales and revenue. If it is more than what the have expected, they might give more money for Tapales' purse. I reckon Tapales should also gamble on himself that the organizers should add money in his purse if the fight ended over 10.5 rounds or reduce the money if under hehe.

Tapales might be underestimated for this fight. I am not predicting that he will be victorious, however, this fight might become similar to Naoya vs. Nonito 1.

Tapales has decent power, so if he can hit Inoue flash on the mouth, maybe he will feel the power and respect Marlon in their fight. I'm watching some highlights of Tapales fight and he really seems to be a thinking fighter. I mean he will read his opponent before making an attack and doesn't over commit, let's say like Manny when he throws his left, most of the time he will lunge making a huge opening for his opponent to counter. But not Marlon Tapales, maybe his ring IQ is underrated for know but we will obviously see it against the Monster. Yes, we know that Tapales chances are very slim to almost none against Inoue, but that's what they said on him against Akhmadaliev. Although I'm seeing that Inoue will work on Marlon's body, to try and slow him down or maybe even score a body blow.

Nonito 1.

When it comes to the purse, I doubt they'll spill the beans publicly, but I'm thinking it'll be fair for Tapales once this fight gets the green light. Now, hoping for this fight to be like Inoue vs. Donaire 1? Well, I'm not so sure. Inoue and Tapales, they've got their own unique styles in the boxing game, and their confidence levels, well, they're on different wavelengths.

I mean, Donaire was a superstar in his own right, reigning in the bantamweight division before Inoue handed him that tough loss. So, expecting a replay of that epic showdown might be a bit of a stretch.

It'll be interesting how Tapales will approach Inoue once they are in the ring but I am optimistic that he comes there to win and not just to survive. Inoue also doesn't like going toe to toe so it is either he becomes the aggressor or he will use the ring and his speed to attack or make counter-attacks. If Tapales becomes the aggressor like Donaire then the better since there is a lesser chance to win once Inoue is the one moving forward.

Although I'm seeing that Inoue will work on Marlon's body, to try and slow him down or maybe even score a body blow.

Tapales is really an understated fighter. He is smart and has some tricks of his own. He is a 2 division world champion for a reason. So he is experienced when it comes to world-class opposition. Tapales' power is also underrated and misleading since he is actually 11-1-10 KOs in his last 12 fights. Inoue though is a great fighter with a great team behind him so they knew already and are not taking Tapales lately as most fans do.

Meanwhile, Steve Kim talked to Bob Arum and it's said that the fight is looking forward this December 26 in Japan once again. So it seems like American money is once again beaten by the Japanese sponsors in trying to bring this undisputed fight to Inoue's home. But at least things are clearer now that this fight will happen. But it's not too late yet for ESPN and its partners to bid more money in order to bring this fight to America.

This venue's a bit of a snoozer, right? Hehe, sorry for being blunt. I think this whole thing should go down on neutral ground. I mean, we're talking about two champions here, it's an undisputed fight, so there shouldn't be any home court advantage. Bringing it over to the US would be a win for boxing – big money's up for grabs there. Not only will the arena be packed, but their PPV subscriptions would shoot through the roof. Let's hope they see the potential in that.

Personally, I also love this fight to happen in the US so that it's a neutral ground for both especially since both are holding 2 belts each. But I won't really be surprised if they announce this fight to happen in Japan again. Japan is the 3rd biggest economy in the world so it can absolutely outbid those American promoters and networks.

If this fight indeed happens in Japan then it only means that the money being offered to stage the fight in America is smaller compared to the Japanese sponsors. The audience and ticket sales can be easily beaten by Japan since it also has a huge population and most of its citizens are rich. If this event is a PPV then the Americans need to pay the subscription to watch this undisputed fight.

What is odd though if this happens in Japan is the scheduled date. Big fights in Japan happen on Tuesdays (Wednesday in the West) while in the US and in Western countries, big events happen on Saturdays. So the PPV buys will absolutely drop since it is a normal working day in the West. But it also means that Japanese sponsors are bidding a huge amount of money that will beat the projected number of PPV buys.

This is quite sensational fight and of course with fight that brings together two world champion fighters it can generate interest for everyone to come to the arena to watch it live whether in the US or in Japan all the same there will be huge flow of money from even from sales tickets to enter the arena will definitely be filled long before the match actually takes place.

But it true that if the fight takes place in Japan then Inoue will be given more significant advantage but it doesn't seem fair to Tapales if uses Japan for the next fight.

Yeah, we even don't know if we can watch the fight live or it someone from Japan will stream the fight live so that we can all watch it happen. Again, Inoue doesn't want to get out of his comfort zone and just choices to play in Japan. Wherein he had generated the buzz already, Mike Tyson is talking about him, there are boxing fans says that he can go as high as 135 lbs and fight Tank Davis.

So there's already a lot of hype on him. But if he keep on fighting in his hometown, then he will not make enough money though. Still the mecca of boxing is in the US and he could easily generation millions there, as he will be the A-side so he could dictate the terms and then there is PPV numbers or even the live gates. It will be enough for him to just go out and fight one time in the US and making a lot of money.

You can watch it to many streamers will cover the live so you better search the Inoue vs Tapales on facebook on fight date and to many streams will pop up. If you seek it on national television then for sure we can't see it since they want people to pay some subscription before they can watch the fight. But since there are so many streamer want to share the live for free then we can easily access it and watch thru their help.

To many people want Inoue to fight outside since they already notice that he don't want to go out like fight in US and many people call him a coward for that. Maybe if someone can handle and convince Inoue to fight in US maybe he will consider especially if they offer a lot of money on his camp. But also I believe that Inoue already earns a lot of money even if he fight inside of his country since we should consider that boxing is popular sport in japan so most provably he is not earning a chunk their and its just many people want to see him outside and fight with other more stronger opponents.

Yeah, that's what they call illegal streaming, but let's be real, we're all kind of benefiting from it. It's not exactly a hugely popular event, so there are probably only a few people who'd even think of reporting it. Plus, our streamers are pretty savvy – they've got backup plans in place, so streaming's not really a problem.

We don't have the exact fight date yet, but it's looking like this showdown is gonna go down in Japan. That just shows how special Inoue is. I mean, back when he was the challenger, he had the champ fighting in Japan. Now that he's the champ, it's a given.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this fight. It's shaping up to be a real interesting one. Some of our fellow Filipinos might be underestimating Tapales, but I'm hoping he can prove us all wrong with a big win.

Hasn't seen the official contract though, so obviously they are not going to make it public. Maybe after the fight we will see the official split but we all know that Inoue will be the what we call the "A-side", so he will get the biggest split, wouldn't be surprised as high as 70-30 maybe in favor of Naoya.

Usually the PPV is also split, so they have to work hard to promote that fight so that the higher the PPV numbers and those fans in Japan to watch the fight live in the arena, the bigger the money that this two are going to take.

Tapales might be underestimated for this fight. I am not predicting that he will be victorious, however, this fight might become similar to Naoya vs. Nonito 1.

We will see mate, if he underestimate Tapales then this fight might go for full 12 rounds.

Yeah, there are many people who wanted to see him fighting outside of his comfort zone and in terms of generating bigger profits,
it's true that U.S can give him better compensation.

But, I think either it's a strategy to make him more visible in the eyes of everyone if he continue to resist that call and continue what he wanted to do.

Though, his handlers might also have that influence if they decided to explore and accept a fight outside his homeland.
