I don't understand the scheduling. First of all, I would have expected the hosts (India) to play against the defending champions (England) in the opening match. And secondly, the opening match should ideally be scheduled on weekend. None of this was followed and in the end we got such a sparse crowd. I have posted this a few times. I think that the BCCI is not that serious about hosting the world cup. Even the schedule was released a few days before the opening match and some of the teams are not happy with the fact that they need to move from one end of the country to the other every week.

Scheduling created this whole mess. I guess broadcasters made the Indian team schedule and all Indian important matches against SENA +PAK) are fixed for Weekends.

There might be some truth to it because of IPL but hosting an ICC event is also a lucrative business so I am not completely sure. Having said that if I look at the big picture then I believe the Big guys (Broadcasters) are not into ODI as a format anymore, there are already enough murmurs about broadcasters pulling out the plug from this. Let's see what happens in the next media rights cycle.

India is a very big country and I've said this a couple of times, we have "no fixed venue systems" for matches due to State boards. BCCI opted for 10 states and UT for this edition and Punjab Cricket Association along with others already made some accusations because they were left out so it's not straightforward (lots of state politics because every political party in India directly or indirectly is in charge of State Board Cricket) and BCCI has to cover all of India, no matter what.

The Netherlands may be close to your target. Because the Netherlands have already lost 7 wickets for 164 runs. As today's field is a batting pitch, Netherlands could not form a good pair. However, because of the batting pitch, Pakistan could not score good runs by batting on today's field. I do not think so, because 220 is never been safe target for any team specially while you are playing in India because conditions are completely batting with flat pitches no help for the bowlers so team like the Netherlands or any other low quality team can chase this target without any problem in today match we have good performance from the Netherlands against unpredictable Pakistan which is badly struggling in batting and spin bowling department.

We can't understand the condition of Pakistan at the moment because it is normal to win against a weak team. They got a big win by 81 runs against Netherlands. But next October 10 when Pakistan will play against Sri Lankan team we will see a good competitive match. If Pakistan do well at that moment then we can have a good idea for the team. Although three teams are considered favorites in this year's World Cup cricket, many people think that Pakistan is not in the three. As an unpredictable team, they will definitely try to do well on a platform like the World Cup. Although their position was not good in the Asia Cup a few days ago. If the players can keep the confidence then good things can be expected.

I am impressed with the captaincy skill of Scott edwards and who knows they can upset one or two team and really bring the table upside down.

Look at their key players. Most of them are very young and they have a very bright future. Bas de Leede shoud have been the man of the match yesterday (Saud Shakeel won the award instead). He is just 23 years old and yesterday he performed exceptionally well by scoring 67 runs and taking 4 wickets. Vikramjit Singh, who scored a half-century yesterday is just 20-years old, and so is Aryan Dutt who opened the bowling. More matches against top teams would only mean a chance of improvement in the future. Also, the ICC has increased funding to associate nations by almost 3x from 2024 onwards.

The third match of the World Cup will be played today at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. Both Afghanistan and Bangladesh can win the match. I found two different bookies supporting each team, which means one particular team between these two is not a favorite. It may be because these two teams have shown irregular performance before they both entered the World Cup. I am sharing both the betting odds below.
