Liverpool are playing with the ball, but that is not what they need in today’s game because after the halftime that we put hope on Liverpool to equalise and win the game, Atalanta have already scored their second goal, which makes it very hard for Liverpool to win again. Atalanta, although the game is still not over, but to be sincere. Liverpool's defence is very weak today because this is not what we expect to see in the game because he is not holding the ball in the midfield but winning the game. Seriously, with what they are playing, I don't think they can equalise the two goals, but it is possible that they should score a goal, and even from the way Atalanta is attacking, they can still add another goal. Liverpool attacks are really poor. I wonder how they are controlling the pitch, but they are not getting strong attacks like Atalanta. I never expected that Atalanta would be able to score two goals, but it is surprising that now they are even winning the match with two goals. It is really disappointing to Liverpool that Atalanta winning them at Anfield. Bayer Leverkusen should not underestimate West Ham. The Hammers may look beatable but so far they are putting up a strong front. Now the match has entered the 80th minute and I haven't seen any significant changes in the way Liverpool play in attack. Although I still hope for a miracle to come and enable Liverpool to score 2 goals quickly. But yeah, that will be difficult considering Atalanta's tight defense. I seem to underestimate clubs from Italy like Atalanta. Because I initially thought Liverpool would win quite easily in that match. Because usually Liverpool don't make as many mistakes as in today's match. It looks like the European League will indeed be like last season where the favorite teams failed one by one before reaching the final. Last season Arsenal and Barcelona also failed in the European League. Even though both of them were ranked at the top in their domestic league at that time. Hoping Liverpool get a comfortable win tonight so we can concentrate on the Premier League. I’m not overly happy about being in the Europa League so it has to take a back seat to our Premier League title fight.

For a team that has won the Champions League 6 times and been in 3 of the last 6 finals, it’s tough to get excited about the Europa League.

So hopefully a comfortable win tonight so we can rest players in the 2nd leg.

But the Europa League is just as important if Liverpool are able to win because it is certain for next season Liverpool will be in the top competition place in the Premier League.

Yep. The match Liverpool vs Atalanta is surprising, Liverpool looked like a weak team. If you checked the current score, Atalanta is leading with 3 goals now. I don't understand why Liverpool plays very poor today. In my opinion, Liverpool used a wrong tactic and Klopp chooses a bad starting lineup. I see Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, Andrew Robertson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are put on the bench. These players are the main players of Liverpool squad, they must be starters if Klopp wants to get the best result in this match.

Agree, Liverpool can't be called as a candidate of the champion anymore. I think they have a big chance to be eliminated in this round. The next match will be in Atalanta home, it should be more difficult than today match. Liverpool seems to be focused on winning EPL for this season.

You have said it all, I mean when I saw the lineup of the match against Atlanta I knew that Klopp really undirected the Italian side. How and why was he so confident that he will deal with Atlanta without his major players. I was confused because in such a matter like this what some coaches do is to bring their best legs in the first half and after they must have scored at least two goals they will begin to remove them in the second half. But in the case of Jürgen klop, he did exactly the opposite and it's backfired. He began introducing Muhammad salah and the rest of them when it was so late for him to upturn the results. The just check the possession it is 71% to 29% and also see the passes completed. This strategy failed Klopp, I think he is out of the Europa League.

I can’t believe this happened, no one believed that Atalanta could win today, especially since they could score three goals. Perhaps you are right, Klopp could have underestimated Liverpool, in the home match, all the main players had to play from the first minutes, and could be replaced in the second half if the score was satisfactory. Everyone wanted to see the final between Liverpool and Bayer, but it seems that after such a defeat, Liverpool has almost no chance of winning back in the second match, three goals is too many.

Attacking is his favorite style but in this match, Liverpool did not play well in attacking and Atalanta did their job well and even can say impressive. With a big loss at home, with three goal difference, it will be very hard for Liverpool to beat Atalanta in Bergamo, Italy. They will need not only a win in Italy but also a big win, at least a big win with three goal difference in a home-away match. As a club from Italy, Atalanta will be wisely enough in a next match to secure this big advantage.

Klopp took this match too lightly so that some of the main players were reserved for preparation in the second half, but what happened Liverpool were overwhelmed when facing Atalanta maybe Klopp played at home he thought he would win but the reality was not.

Yeah for Atalanta with 3 goals it is a pretty comfortable capital for the second leg, if you lose to Liverpool by no more than two goals then you qualify, especially until you win back it's much better, but honestly I didn't expect that Liverpool would lose to Atalanta.

On the one hand, Leverkusen did something extraordinary because they ended the match with a 2-0 lead. thanks to the goals they got in the 83rd minute and 90+1. Leverkusen looks like they could still be favorites this season along with Roma or Benfica. As for Liverpool, I don't think we can expect much from them.

Quite disappointed today to see the first leg of the Europa League , all the favourites in today's game suffered defeats except Benfica and Leverkusen, I was quite sure today Milan will be able to win with a fairly convincing score at home, but in fact they had to suffer quite a painful defeat in the first half of the game, despite having slightly more possession than Roma,   But many of their chances were wasted and Svilar's brilliant performance under Roma's goal was quite fantastic, but even so Milan still have a chance to turn things around in the second leg.

About Liverpool, I don't know what happened today, although I'm sure Atlanta will make it difficult for Liverpool but I didn't expect if Liverpool could be slaughtered by Atlanta at Anfield today, Liverpool's chances are quite difficult to win and turn things around in the second leg and I think Atlanta will try to defend and rely on counterattacks in the second leg,  while Leverkusen of course there Is no other word but fantastic because it continues to be able to win the game even in the final minutes.
