Out of expectations Liverpool had to lose 0-3 to Atalanta at home - Anfield. I watched this match obviously disappointed because I knew that Liverpool were favored by anyone but what happened was that the goal was far enough behind.

You're right. It is beyond of people expectation. No one predicted that Atalanta could score 3 goals at Liverpool home. I even think Liverpool will score many goals, but they even were conceded many goals. It is true that we all feel disappointed with Liverpool, they played very badly. When we think Liverpool is the candidate of the winner, they just showed us the opposite.

I don't know in the second leg whether Liverpool will take more aggressive action to catch up with so many goals behind? I think it's difficult especially at home to Atalan, even though this team is bad in Serie A but in the European league is able to overthrow Liverpool with a landslide score.

Liverpool must play aggressively in Leg 2. But I doubt they could score 4 goals without conceded any goal. Atalanta is Italian team, it should have a strong defense. It won't be easy to score many goals, specifically at their home.

Everything is all right but I don't understand what going on the defence of Liverpool today they are making tiny mistakes but incase of that mistake they have to make big charge for that. Well, one goal was enough for Roma to beat AC Milan at the San Siro. through a corner that was shot by Paulo Dybala and was met by Gianluca Macini with a header that the AC Milan goalkeeper couldn't block. in this match, many people did not believe that Roma would be able to put up a fight against AC Milan. most insisted, Milan was stronger. however, many people forget that football is unique and the results will be determined when the match is played and ends. Moreover, this match was Stefano Pioli's first meeting with De Rossi. So, it has nothing to do with the H2H meeting of these two teams. Moreover, this match is not the Serie A League but the Europa League quarter-finals. the coach De Rossi, was able to beat AC Milan.

In fact, the AS Roma coach is highly doubted by many communities. but he proved it with his performance, and they defeated Milan. yeah, as I said many times in previous posts. You have said it all, I mean when I saw the lineup of the match against Atlanta I knew that Klopp really undirected the Italian side. How and why was he so confident that he will deal with Atlanta without his major players. I was confused because in such a matter like this what some coaches do is to bring their best legs in the first half and after they must have scored at least two goals they will begin to remove them in the second half. But in the case of Jürgen klop, he did exactly the opposite and it's backfired. He began introducing Muhammad salah and the rest of them when it was so late for him to upturn the results. The just check the possession it is 71% to 29% and also see the passes completed. This strategy failed Klopp, I think he is out of the Europa League.

Several players made blunders in the process of Atalanta's goal in this match, clearly this was not the Liverpool game I expected. This for me happens to be one of the biggest Europa shock I've experienced this season and i really don't understand how it happened that not only Liverpool lost but they were unable to score a goal even with the home advantage they have got, this is definitely going to affect their chances of getting to the next stage of the Europa because they are going to ply in Atlanta's home next and they may not allow them win.

Atlanta will now be much more confident than they were before now in the fact that they were able to defeat Liverpool in their first meeting and i doubt they will allow Liverpool get the number of goals they got playing against them in their home because they know that will affect their current chance of getting to the next stage of the Europa league this season, Liverpool may have to win with three goals aswell to be able to cancel in for the victory that Atlanta was able to get over them in their first meeting today. The interesting aspect is in the fact they Liverpool didn't even get to perform optimally as they are been known for their season.

Atlanta was really brilliant and their victory was a deserving epic victory that really got to give them a perfect edge that they need this season in the Europa and if Liverpool fails to get pass this stage, this may then be the end of their Europa journey and they may end up trying at the premier league only and this is their only and last chance at the Europa to be able to get a trophy while under klop as their head coach.

Hoping Liverpool get a comfortable win tonight so we can concentrate on the Premier League. I’m not overly happy about being in the Europa League so it has to take a back seat to our Premier League title fight.

For a team that has won the Champions League 6 times and been in 3 of the last 6 finals, it’s tough to get excited about the Europa League.

I do tell people the  Europa league is one of  the hardest league's in Europe but some don't agree. In this competition no team is a respecter of the other team not minding how good your performance and position is in your domestic league.

It would be agreed that no one will have expected that Liverpool granting it's performance in the EPL will be losing to Atlanta at home soil Anfield but reality right now is that the visitors are hammering Liverpool 3 goals to nothing.  It's a disappointing result for the English side and I don't think they can get a comeback on this one  as it's 83 mins already played with just 7mins left to full-time whistle.

Liverpool will be playing against Atalanta in tonight's encounter but we shouldn't have much faith with these guys  (Liverpool) because we see them scoring much goals before getting to the quarter finals, playing like they're in the final or something but let's not forget that Liverpool are playing with caution, Klopp won't want anything to affect any of his best players since they played a draw against UTD and they're second on the log in the EPL.

Klopp normally has a wrong tactical formation whenever he meets Manchester United, however that won't stop him from likely winning Atalanta who are currently occupying the 6th position in Italian seria A with 50 points. Atalanta are obviously the underdog's in that encounter. Liverpool won't be deterred by the draw they had in the premium league encounter with united.  These first leg is going to be played in anfield, which Liverpool will definitely fight to get a win and maybe try to get a draw when they go over to Italy, because the pressure will definitely be on the Italian side if Liverpool gets a win for which is highly possible tonight.

Man UTD are suppose to lose that game and if you match UTD and Atalanta I'd go for the Italian side to win because they're better than the red devils but that's by the way. Klopp will try to be careful like I have been saying, when that happens don't be surprised if he starts making wrong changes, he shouldn't make that mistake of starting those young lads against their opponent tonight because if he does, it won't go down well and if Atalanta gets the first goal you'd see Liverpool on the panicking end trying to get an equalizer which will be hard.

However don't also forget that Manchester United won Liverpool during their last FA cup game, so on what basis are you saying that Manchester United are suppose to lose that match?

Manchester United and Atalanta are are on the same level in their domestic league, however Liverpool is at top of league table with a fantastic weekly result. So I don't see how Atalanta are not the underdog's going head to head with Liverpool.

I believe you're a UTD fan and from what you have seen tonight you'd believe that Manchester United are not in any way close to being in the same level with Atalanta, that's by the way.

I think Liverpool is too confident, so they forget an important thing that the slightest mistake can be a good opportunity for their opponents. It's amazing seeing Roma getting a surprised win against Ac Milan especially from an early goal, no body will actually expect this only few will win a bet on this game since Ac Milan as been performing much better than Roma in their domestic league. Though I can't ignore the fact that De Rossi, has been doing pretty since after replacing Jose Mourinho and it's good how they keep the pressure from Milan to get an away win today but let's see how the second leg next week goes.

I think Atalanta is a team that is good at Anfield because this is the second time they defeated Liverpool at Anfield back to back, they have shown some quality despite their performance in the Seria A and they are about to eliminate Liverpool because I am sure they will not misuse any chance in their home while playing second leg and three goals is much for Liverpool to level since they were unable to score even a goal in the match.

Leverkusen win their match as expected against West Ham United. This is another good news for Alonso because he has already secured the Bundesliga title, and he is a favorite in the Europa League this season, and if they were able to get to the finals, they can win it.

I won't say Liverpool can't come back in the second leg by scoring 3 goals or more, but the chances of that are very low. While Atalanta will be very defensive in the second leg, that is a strategy that Gian Piero Gasperini will consider to secure his ticket to the semi-finals. Liverpool wasn't too bad at building attacks, but this was also influenced by Atalanta's tight and well-organized defense.

Milan lost 0-1 at home. Milan can still come back in the second leg because their chances are still high, while Liverpool so far only have a low chance of coming back. I think Liverpool will focus on the Premier League instead of the Europa League, unless Klopp still wants to fight and not give up.

I'm not surprised by this result, as I told you that the favorites don't always win. Atalanta may have caused many people to lose their bet slips today, but they did a great job. Liverpool can now focus on the Premier League rather than thinking about the Europa League. They're done here. They cannot turn around in Italy from 3-0. Good luck to Atalanta in the semi-finals. With Scamacca's two goals and Pasalic, Atalanta achieved a victory at Anfield Road that they will never forget for many years to come. Klopp's substitutions didn't yield results, Gasperini won the match without even making a change.

I agree that there isn't such thing as favourites will always win. However were you expecting a score like 3-0 at Anfield? I guess you weren't just as me.  

I remember this scenario from their last Champions League meet. Liverpool destroyed them by 5-0 away and Atalanta beat them by 2-0 away too. Do you believe we would see it again? I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. However the Premier League championship is the priority for Liverpool at the moment. As a result it is difficult to trust Liverpool fully to make a comeback in the Europa League now.
