This is a very unfortunate match for Liverpool. I am amongst those that bid that Liverpool will make it to the finals and meet Bayern Leverkusen. This prediction was base on the experience that all teams have in European competitions and the team that will make it to the finals of the competition. Now that Liverpool have lost to Atalanta in their home, they should prepare to play a more interesting second leg match that is coming for them. This was suppose to be the easiest match for that day but it was a shame for Liverpool losing to Atalanta, i Just  hope they can revive and take the lead in the second leg in order to qualify for the next round  of the competition.

One thing about this European night’s football is the fact that it always comes with surprises like under dogs piping the favourites. Atlanta although in this case were underdogs but in reality they too are one of the competition favorites. Many people have piped Liverpool to the game most especially because it was Anfield, a place which is more like a fortress for them, but it happened that Atlanta was just too good in and lucky In the match to get those goals. Does Liverpool still have a chance, I will say mathematically yes they do but realistically I don’t see them pulling a comeback on this one. Liverpool disappointed a lot in the first leg, they look out because of how many goals they conceded, but based on history, Liverpool have a good fighting spirit and can turn this game around in just the first half of the second leg if they are able to score two goals and prevent any more goals from Atalanta. The coach will take the second leg very seriously and will make sure to start his key players who he will charge to be aggressive from the very first minute of the game. Liverpool has some important players back and they will be fitter before that second leg, so that will give the coach more options.

Liverpool seem to have prioritized the premier league meanwhile i was thinking such will be placed on the Europa as they don't get to play in the Europa all the season and this is going to be the last they will be playing under the leadership of klop as he has not been able to win the trophy with Liverpool before now and this appears like his best opportunity just before leaves but then it seem they want the premier league more.

I'm not sure if Liverpool's crushing defeat yesterday in the Europe League was for this reason. Even before, Liverpool seemed very optimistic and enthusiastic about this match, the match where they lost badly to Atalanta, that was a very fatal mistake from Liverpool. Liverpool wasted the chacnes too much. They were also not as effective in pressing Atalanta even though they had a much larger attacking share. They only played the ball beautifully, but not sharply. This is an evaluation that will certainly be very deep for Klopp for Liverpool. And, this was a very embarrassing defeat for them, 3 goals without reply by Atalanta, at times they were alone. Who can handle it?

Even in his interview, Klopp also stated that they lost the plot in the match. It was a bad game and they evaluated it all very carefully for the development of the match in the second leg.

Because their goals have been missed so much, attack after attack, they have not been able to succeed. I'm calm and probably don't know how to express my feelings following the shocking defeats of Liverpool in the Europa League. Atalanta was underestimated but they prove to everyone to be a potential threat to any other elite team in the Europa League this season. Don't underestimate them because they know exactly how to handle themselves. The most difficult challenge for Liverpool this season is Atalanta. Jurgen Klopp relent and suffered shocking defeats at home and now they have to corrects their mistakes with an epic comeback in the second leg. Liverpool lost 3 nil at Anfield and this is huge embarrassment for them.

Milan may be embarrassed in front of their fans after their narrow defeat to Roma in the first leg but everything is not over yet and Milan's opportunity to win in the second leg is still very open. That's not a big aggregate difference and I'm sure they can still turn things around at home to Roma later. They just need to implement a different strategy and learn from the previous defeat against Roma.

On the other hand, Roma, who have been on the rise lately, are worth watching out for and since being handled by De Rossi, their performance has always been impressive. But they also have to start being alert because Milan will play hard at home and Roma should start looking for ways to break into Milan's goal even more. Defense will be one of the determinants of victory for both teams and one mistake will be very fatal for their chances of qualifying for the semifinals.

And Liverpool need to win 4-0 if they want to qualify for the next round. Atalanta will play totally defensive in their home match I am sure. Even if Liverpool win the second leg match, they will probably win 1-0 or 2-1. Liverpool's chances of winning by such a large margin seem to me to be very low.

Also, I think Klopp must have given up hope of the Europa League title after losing the first leg so badly. He will now continue to try to win the Premier League title.

you're not alone bro, I also experienced a bit of a big loss and I think it's more fun betting on UCL 
Klopp mistake in yesterday's match was not using mainstay players in the first half such as Salah, Diaz and Diogo Jota coming on in the second half and Atalanta knew this tactic and used the main players in the first half resulting in a good score in the first half and second half.
this is not the player's fault, but here I blame Klopp more for using the wrong strategy and on the one hand, if Klopp had used his usual strategy, he could have beaten Atalanta with a narrow score.
with this poor performance from Liverpool in the next match I will not bet again and rather secure my budget to bet on a more consistent team.

from yesterday's incident, does anyone still believe that Liverpool will progress to the next round?
It is impossible to see Liverpool being able to get a higher aggregate score in an away game or at least being able to score 4 scores and hold the match until the end of the match but that is not an easy task.
maybe anyone who highly favored Liverpool yesterday will regret giving too much praise and ending up with a very bad defeat.

I really liked the job Roma did against Milan away as well. Actually I can't say Roma were the better playing side. Their performance wasn't that impressive in general but used their chances more efficiently. De Rossi has really made difference so far. I started to believe in Roma more to eliminate Milan now and I had a bet placed on their advancing to the semi finals. 

Let's say Roma got past Milan then their opponent is most likely to be Leverkusen next time. De Rossi is doing good maybe but I don't think he can manage to eliminate Xabi Alonso. Leverkusen are playing just way better than Milan and Roma both.

Liverpool will be playing against Atalanta in tonight's encounter but we shouldn't have much faith with these guys  (Liverpool) because we see them scoring much goals before getting to the quarter finals, playing like they're in the final or something but let's not forget that Liverpool are playing with caution, Klopp won't want anything to affect any of his best players since they played a draw against UTD and they're second on the log in the EPL.
Klopp would try to get his boys to start leading the game from the first half but I see the visitors giving Liverpool a bit of a headache and if some how the away team somehow gets a win in this first leg like 0-1 then there would be much pressure on Liverpool, well it won't be too easy for that to happen and I feel the return leg won't be easy for Klopp and his boys (that's if Liverpool lose 0-1) but I'd say a draw is likely to happen in this encounter.

Liverpool have won by a wide margin against all the teams they have faced so far. The English Premier League is not as challenging for Liverpool or as tough as the European League for Liverpool. The first 5 teams from the English Premier League qualify for the Champions League and Liverpool will definitely be one of those first five teams next season. Liverpool are certainly capable of winning by a big margin against any opponent they face in the first leg tonight. Liverpool will win tonight's first leg if they don't make a huge mistake and if they don't perform too badly. This season Liverpool are one of the favorites to win the Europa League title.

I won't say if Roma's victory over Milan was absolute luck, because in my opinion, Roma played quite well in that game and as we thought before if Roma will make a surprise in that match, Milan have dominated Rome in every league game but it turns out that De Rossi was able to surprise Milan with tactics that Pioli did not expect at all in the match.  By placing El Shaarawy and Palagini in different positions, El Shaararawy used to play as a left winger but he was instead placed as a right winger as well as Palegrini.

The change of tactics applied by De Rossi is really quite effective in my opinion in suppressing the attack of both wings of Milan, I think hard work and also luck can be the reason for Roma's victory, but a narrow victory over Milan should not make the Roma squad happy because after all Milan still has a great chance in the second leg to turn things around.
The second leg will be played at home to Roma and I think it will make Pioli change the scheme and tactics of the game to chase and turn things around in the second leg later.

It is always hard to predict the future. Imagine I also thought that those two clubs that you mentioned would also win their matches at home, but it turned out the other way round. There is still hope for Milan, if only they can make proper use of their chances in the second leg, compare to Liverpool that does not have any hope of winning Atalanta. Milan still has opportunity to beat Roma in the second leg if he is able to create a higher aggregate than Roma achieved, while Roma themselves have scored 1 aggregate and will increase the total aggregate in the second leg when they compete at their headquarters later and that will make it difficult for Milan even in the league Milan domestically is superior to Roma.

Meanwhile, it seems quite difficult for Liverpool to turn things around, they lost at home with a landslide score and Atalanta themselves have scored 3 goals and maybe there will be more in the second leg, but if Liverpool are able to maintain a strong defense and are able to prevent a clean sheet then Liverpool can still score. at least 3 goals to get a penalty so Liverpool still has a big chance of qualifying for the semifinals even though this prediction could also be wrong.

It is not about a team being strong that will always guarantee a win. Sometimes football is unpredictable that a favourite team that is strong, that is supposed to win can end up loosing the game. No one expected that Liverpool would be humiliated like that by Atalanta at their own headquarters. It's true that someone gave Atalanta a chance, but with a defeat of that magnitude it really surprised everyone that Liverpool would lose with a score of 0-3.
Maybe they lost their balance in this match or they weren't very lucky, because actually they played well too, in fact they controlled this match with 71% ball possession.
I don't think that their energy has run out for the Premier League, because they also have an even squad, or in other words they can rotate without any very significant differences. But now it has happened, and they have to rack their brains so they can turn things around in the second leg.

Roma played very efficiently, they were able to protect their chances quite well and the result of winning in the first leg is of course a very big advantage for Roma because in the second leg they will play at their own home with the many advantages they have now made the Roma team comfortable enough to reach the second leg later.
I think this is not a big surprise because it must be admitted that Roma's performance has been much better and has improved since being coached by De Rossi.

I think there is no difference between Roma and Leverkusen, these are two teams from two different competitions even though Leverkusen looks superior but Roma also cannot be underestimated, they have now improved very drastically.

Liverpool's chances of qualifying for the semi-finals are slim, perhaps even almost impossible. with their defeat against Atalanta yesterday it made Liverpool lose their chance, and with that I thought maybe this season Liverpool would not be able to qualify, and with the result of this match where Liverpool lost so badly it was a surprise, I didn't think Atalanta would beat Liverpool with a score which is quite satisfying.

Maybe they actually had a problem with their defensive line which was not good, so Atalanta was able to break into their goal even though Atalanta didn't attack much. with yesterday's away match they were able to beat Liverpool soundly, and I think that when they play again at home they will likely be more confident or indeed more defensive as you said., but what is clear is that I'm not sure Liverpool will be able to. win in the second leg later. maybe they won't be too confident especially when they play away.
