Like what I mentioned,  it's better to separate your gambling activities to your work schedule,  if you don't want to create any messed with your job, you should take all the responsibilities and complete what you are being paid for, the leisure should  be separated as it should be done outside your workplace,  being professional is also  being responsible,  else, you will both messing with your financial source and your potential gambling addiction.

Addiction take place if there's nothing else inside your mind, and yes, at the beginning you are being entertained and you are enjoying the game or any type of gambling you are involve but when you start to realize that you are already losing a lot it will break the balance inside you, it will affects everything that includes your daily job, like what I mentioned, it's better not to allow yourself to do both gambling while you are working, your focus will be divided and most of the time, when you feel the adrenaline rush you may risk your job for the sake of gambling.

Well, if they don't try, they won't know what the results will be by busying themselves with other things. And surely it will bring positive things to their lives. It is indeed difficult to break the gambling cycle, and it requires hard work to stop gambling activities, especially if they have been gambling for a long time. But if they succeed in breaking the gambling cycle, they can see that they have succeeded in reducing or even abandoning gambling, and that will allow them to work calmly and will not want to risk losing their job. Work time should always be work time, as you are getting paid to do work. Unless there are times that you are free and have nothing to do, you can do it without using the devices in the office. Combining gambling with serious labour is like riding two horses with one behind - it doesnt work. Using gambling as a reward system? Finish a duty, then enjoy some guilt-free betting on your favourite site. Its like a carrot on a stick, pushing us to tackle our to-do lists.

Should really be the thing on your mind is on having those priorities over with your own interest because if you do have that kind of behavior on which trying out to prioritize things on which in line with your own interest and really just neglecting your work or having those kind of lack of efficiency then you are really that putting yourself at such great trouble. My old boss at the cake factory would carry around a small portable TV with him, way back in the days before phones became so convenient it was very unusual.  He would watch the sports in the evenings on it and get overtime pay while relaxing on a pallet of flour bags perhaps, living that dream on a nice extra wage.   He may have gambled some of that extra money on the games he was watching I was never in the place to ask such a question of my boss but certainly we can say some people are in a nicer position when working to gamble if they like.
  Delivery drivers and Taxi I often see waiting for their next appointment they could easily watch a game and/or gamble if they wanted while waiting.    I would still say its a distraction but justified in some way as some people do have jobs where waiting around for the next business is part of the work to it all.

Imo it is also wrong for people to rush doing their duties just to have free time. If employer sees that, he might give extra work easily, thinking you are doing little for the money you are paid.

I agree that a tiny win at work makes daily work more enjoyable. But what if it a tiny loss, or not tiny at all? Its very wrong if negative attitude from a loss will be moved to working process, colleagues, final result. Basically this is risking job in exchange for a tiny win. Is it really worth it?

In general I find it unacceptable if I share with colleagues during coffee, that I have gambled recently at work, instead of discussing life trifles or chat. Definitely I wont find support in their eyes.

Maybe some people have been punished because they were caught gambling at work and maybe some have been fired. Instead of taking the risk of losing our jobs, it is better for us not to gamble at work because there are people who like and dislike us, are always looking for faults, and intend to bring us down in front of our superiors. This has happened frequently in many workplaces, so we must know where we are. And it is also for our good not to gamble at work.

Yes it's true that if you don't gamble at work it won't affect your performance. If there is more attention to gambling it will be leisure time. It is interesting to note that most gamblers do not do it to win. Only a small number of players benefit. If someone is determined to achieve gambling goals they should avoid the game gambling should be a form of entertainment except at work and losing money should be considered an entertainment expense.

If you are the boss, part of the higher ups or an external contractor then you can get away with things other employees may not be able to do, however someone that does not have that kind of independence and that needs their job, should do well to err on the side of caution and avoid gambling while they are at their job.

Since you never know when the company for which you work may cut some personal, and they could let you go because the higher-ups do not feel that you are giving it your all since you gamble at work.

It's easy to say that you can gamble and be responsible but the thing is, when temptation already dominates you that's where the problem will start to take place, if you unable to control yourself and you are not that good in setting your limitation, you might risk both your money and the job that you should be taking care, it's  mental issue that needed to control. Without that you will always find yourself following your desire and you will be sacrificing everything for the sake of your gambling activities.

It's a must that you should know how to set that limitation if you can' resist the need of playing, though I always have that doubt that it can be balance but maybe there are some who can deal with it and they are really good in controlling their emotions.

Even if you can't control the urge to gamble at work, that means that you should be extra careful because something might be fishy and will never be good for the person. Imagine, even at the time of doing the work that delivers to you your daily bread, you can check your gambling platform many times in just an hour, and you think that is still normal? This is an addiction and it is not too late to stop it, and the earlier such is fought, the better.

I've fought a whole lot of app addiction like that before and I won easily, it only takes some awareness of the conclusion of whether what you are doing is right or wrong. Once you can reasonably conclude that it is wrong, then the determination and discipline to fight it are what you should reach out for. Once you can be successful in fighting it in a day, or two and going to the fourth day, I am certain that you will have defeated it, and you will not even remember you have such a bad practice any more. But it will persist if we are idiotic and believing that we are doing what is good while it is actually bad. Even if you are not caught or penalised by anyone at work, it is morally right that you are focused on what you are doing unless it is just the type of job that is so informal or that gives the free time/room for that.

Well, it's not gambling then, is it? If you are not betting your money you can easily forget about it right away and keep doing your main job. It will hardly be the case if a serious amount of money is at stake. Then you will be thinking of it even when you are not on a gambling site and it can be distractive. If you don't recommend playing for money, in short, you don't recommend gambling at work, I would say.

Yes, gambling and work should not be combined because they are two different things. Work can provide us with income that we can use to meet our daily needs. Meanwhile, gambling is an activity that can provide pleasure, sadness, entertainment, and so on. And we are not allowed to gamble at work because it violates workplace regulations. We must know that the workplace is for work while we can gamble wherever we want when we are not doing anything or have free time. But that doesn't mean that if we take a break at work, we can gamble because this will depend on the situation and conditions at the workplace.

Yes, we have to conclude whether our actions are right or wrong. Let's just ask our little hearts how we would feel if, for example, we were a boss and saw that our employees were gambling at work. We don't want our workplace to tolerate this attitude because other employees will do other things at work where there are already regulations that we cannot do outside of work. In the immortal words of Tony Soprano, you dont S*** where you eat for good reasons.   Dont try to mix oil with water, it doesnt especially work and on general principle gambling while at work should be underlined with heavy caution.   I know some people will do it anyway but since you gamble the money you earn, to compromise one with the other is potentially dangerous and you wont have any money to gamble if the job should be lost by gambling and heavily distracted during work.
   Some people could balance this perhaps but its best to presume you wont or it would develop into a negative not worth it.  Add in the other side which is just general balance of not gambling all the time, take time out to work, rest not gamble too much is massively arguable and good advice imo
