I think for about 2 months now the first thing I do when I get out of bed is stretch, brush my teeth, then do 40+ push-ups.  It's gotten to the point where I pretty much have a push-up count in my mind the entire day until they're done and once they are done I want to do more so I have to find other ways to workout.  Adding curls does bring me a little pain back in my elbow, but I'll stick with it until that pain goes away.  Now that it's getting hotter here in the desert, I'm starting to wish I had a stair machine or a treadmill, but my stationary bike and swimming will have to do.  At this point I'm worried I might find myself joining a gym soon and becoming a 260 gym bro like Bradley Martyn.

Keep it up! Nice to see you keeping track and holding yourself accountable. After a couple months you’ll wonder how you ever didn’t do that every day.

I got my 100 in today and managed to do some swimming and some time on the bike. I must say that I wish I was doing 100 squats along with my 100 push-ups but that sounds like so much effort. Maybe 100 burpees instead of push-ups?

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

I am not sure what to say besides just providing my report.  Maybe I will just mention how today went.

I believe that my first two sets were somewhat normal, and then I was going to do a 3rd set before I went to run some errands, and I also had a meeting scheduled, yet I forgot to do my 3rd set, so then when I got back home it was a bit after 10pm, so I was reminded that I still had 3 more pushup sets, so yeah, those last three sets were in a bit of a crammed timeline, and it was not bad to mix it up a bit, even though spreading out my sets through the whole day seems to be less stressful when it is possible - even though I will admit that if I do several sets early, there is a bit of relief to already have them out of the way, so that is part of the same justification for my feeling better to do higher quantity pushup sets in the beginning of the day rather than waiting until later in the day, so that the end of the day will feel less pressure with the quantity of pushups needed in order to reach right around 200 pushups for the day, which now, I am very close to two weeks of averaging 200 pushups per day.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

A lot of us here has be consistent doing this pushups for months now and I will love to say a very big thank you to OgNasty for bringing this up and also to DirtyKeyboard for always giving us a list of our progress and then JayJuanGee you have been a big support for this pushups through your brilliant contributions.
I know a lot of people will be thinking about giving up on this challenge but I will like to remind you about the benefits of pushups in other to keep you going.

7 benefits of push-ups
...
You're welcome, and thanks for the list there.  Smiley

I noticed a change in the push-up activity table, wow I was amazed when I saw it I applaud you for that great work @Dirtykeyboard, the usernames are been arranged orderly and accordingly in a descending order which has made the table looks more beautiful.

I have not been consistent with my push-up exercise in the past few days due to my busy schedule and work too sometimes after coming back from work I will be so stressful and tired but despite that I was still able to do some quit numbers of push-up which accumulated to 306 push-up when I later calculated all in the past few days .
Thanks, a small change that had a big effect.  Keep up the pushups, when you do them everyday, they should gets easier.

Yeah.. good catch.. ..

Perhaps somewhat orderly in terms of being sorted by number of characters in the user-name.. . a bit of a random thing.. but still, there might be some benefits of substantively sorting. but yeah there could also be some advantage in catching duplicates if the sort is somewhat in accordance with user name rather than in accordance with pushup substance.. perhaps? perhaps?
Exactly.   Smiley  I tried it alphabetically and DirtyKeyboard was far away from dirtykeyboard on the list.  There must be an option to make the sort case insensitive.

In regards to the bolded.  Go on...  It sounds like you have something in mind?  Smiley

Sounds like we need more tables.  Wink  100 burpees sounds extremely challenging.

Arms (triceps and biceps)

This is actually the area I focus the most, there's been an amazing improvement on my biceps, as well as my pectorals and i couldn't be any happier about it.
I've been quite reluctant about hitting the gym due to my busy schedule, so I haven't had the opportunity to work on my biceps and pectorals which are very important to me, but this challenge has actually helped me to achieve that without even leaving my home and that's really cool.

Doing these push ups has now become part of my daily routine and I even added them to my schedule just so I won't have to miss any session.

To make the whole thing a lot more interesting, I took a picture of my biceps and pectorals when I started the challenge, and I'll also take another picture of em after the challenge so everyone could see just how much this challenge has helped in developing them.
Asides supporting bitcoin to hit 100k, this is actually another thing I've benefited from this challenge.
Lately, I have added so many upper-body exercises, so anytime I am doing push-ups, I will use the opportunity to work on them to help get a balanced upper body. Since I started working out my triceps and biceps, they have started developing, and it has helped me gain more strength and do more quantity push-ups in a set. The slow push-ups I mostly do require strength, and working out my triceps and biceps has been a great advantage to it. I restarted my push-ups yesterday, as I mentioned here, and I wouldn't believe I did 100 push-ups in 4 sets of 40, 20, 20, and 20 push-ups in each set. I thought when I restarted my push-up challenge I would find it much more difficult to do because I stopped doing it for some days, but I am happy to fit in perfectly. I will push for my first set immediately after I drop this post here. It is good to be fully back with this push-up challenge.

Even with your tight schedule the determination was still there that's something I really need to learn, and also averaging 200 push up daily is something that will really help the body and the health generally, I really need to focus on this aspect of mine , because most times when I have a tight schedule I forget and even when I remember and am tired I will be reluctant to do it, it's cool, I now feel motivated.

I decided I have recovered enough from my surgery to start a 100 exercise.

I am older so I will do 100 stair steps

May 21 2024 100 Steps done  time 3 minutes 33 seconds price $70,015
May 22 2024 100 steps done time 3 minutes 4 seconds price 69.2k
May 23 2025
May 24 2025

So I did 100 again today.

that is actually 200 as it is 100 steps upwards and 100 steps downwards

I hope to do this for quite a while.

Happy to hear about your progress, lord willing you’ll continue to have the energy a fit mind and body to keep it up, may your body age backwards as you go on.
It’s been a wonderful healthy week so far maintaining the push up challenge has been my highlight for the week I hope to continue on this great path to a happy and fit body. 100k,Briankimp1,4,60,2024-05-23

Things I do ever since I started this pushup challenge are.

1. Wake up
2. Pray
3. Bush
4. Do 50 pushups
5. Clean my house
6. Go to work
7. Close from work and come back home
8. Do another 50 pushups
9. Rest for 1 hour
10. Eat
11. Chat and sleep.

I always go to the gym every weekend and I do my pushups there and also do other exercise,
I was also instructed by the gym instructor on the foods to eat in other to help my body. So I will educate everyone how to eat through this challenge we are all into.

Start with wholesome dinners such as wholemeal pasta or brown rice, roasted veggies and some grilled fish or lean chicken. In the morning have a big breakfast two hours before you start such as a mushroom and spinach omelette with wholegrain toast and avocado. Drink plenty of fluids too. Thirty minutes before you start your push-ups, enjoy a power snack such as a protein bar or nut butter on toast. After the challenge, load up on hydration with plain water or coconut water to ensure you are replenishing all the water and minerals you may have lost during the push-ups. Also enjoy your favourite meal as you’ve earned it! Try to stick to a balanced meal of half a plate of veggies, a quarter of protein and a quarter of low GI carbs.

And this are the foods you should try to avoid for now am not saying they are not good put in other to get the real benefits of doing this pushups you must stay away from them, they are.

Foods high in fat such as donuts, fries, chips or red meat can be difficult to digest and cause nausea during workouts.
Beans, dried fruit, dairy and cabbage can also cause lots of gassiness making you feel bloated and heavy during the workout, so best avoid them too.

As New  Members are Joining this 100 Push-Ups A Day Challenge,I decided to carry out a research about basic principles of Push-Ups that will be of help to Beginners.

Push-Up Basics for Beginners
Before you begin a push-up training workout, it's helpful to know the six scientific principles of fitness training. With this knowledge, you'll learn how to improve your fitness in a safe and systematic way. If you understand the concepts of overload, progression, adaptation, etc., you will be better able to train effectively.

1.Understand Your Individual Needs
There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach when it comes to exercise. This means that a strength training program should be customized to suit your needs and how you respond to exercise, which varies based on factors like body size and shape, genetics, chronic conditions, injuries, and even sex.

If you're still building your upper body and core strength, you will likely benefit from performing push-ups on your knees first.

2.Gradually Increase Your Workout Load
In order for the heart and muscles to get stronger, the workout load must be gradually increased compared to what you are normally accustomed to. For instance, as you start to get stronger, try a set of five regular push-ups in between sets of modified push-ups.

3.Incorporate Challenges
To build strength over time, you'll want to make your workouts tougher by incorporating new fitness challenges. To increase your level of fitness for push-ups, you could try challenges such as holding a plank position for 60 seconds or variations like spiderman push-ups.

4. Listen to Your Body
As you continue to get stronger, your body will naturally start to adapt to the increased workload and challenges you're presenting it with. However, it's important to listen to your body's cues for any sign of pain or distress to avoid injury.

If you feel any pinching sensation or pain in your upper body, shoulders, or wrists, lower to your knees and do modified push-ups. Or stop the exercise and rest.

5. Consistency Is Key
As the saying goes, "use it or lose it." Failure to stay consistent with your workout schedule can result in deconditioning and muscular atrophy. If you want to improve your push-ups, you will need to continue to incorporate push-ups into your workouts.

6. Remember to Rest
Recovery from exercise is just as important as the physical effort itself. Be sure to cross-train other muscles in your body and include lighter activities such as walking, stretching, or yoga. Most fitness trainers recommend resting from all exercise one to two days per week depending on your level of fitness.

Working out is best done in bits and on schedule and the hard part of push up is when it not done on a daily based, some times we have scattered schedule that makes me miss my push up for about a week, this is due to lack of enabling environment to do those push ups and when I get home I feel so much pains in my elbow because of the breakinbetween.

Learn my lesson now so I divide those push between 100/100 and 100, that is when I wake up I do 100 and at noon another 100 and before going to bed I do 100 to make me exusted before going to bed a total of 300 push daily I think I am doing great with that already.

So I did 108.

I have 12 steps to first floor from kitchen in second floor.

so 108 is nine flights of stairs up 🆙 and down.

I noticed a change in the push-up activity table, wow I was amazed when I saw it I applaud you for that great work @Dirtykeyboard, the usernames are been arranged orderly and accordingly in a descending order which has made the table looks more beautiful.
Yeah.. good catch..

Smiley

I think that we are getting used to non-substantive sorting, and of course, intuitively there might have been some desires to sort by number of pushups or something like that.. and it probably does not matter too much even though sometimes people will look through lists and try to figure out how it is substantively sorted.... Whatever you are doing is good.. seems to have easier chances of spotting potential duplicates....

Strange that some of the latest push up report updates did not get captured in the latest table?

I first noticed mine, and I did not see any errors in it, and then I looked at the two previous ones of Ognasty and Zackz5000, and they were not updated either.  Something seems out of place regarding the latest script run:

100k,JayJuanGee,108,21610,2024-05-22

There might have been some others that were not included.  I did not go back further in my research.

It can be difficult, and surely there are some guys who have more difficulties in their schedules based on their kinds of activities...

so currently part of mine is to try to average around 40 per set and 5 sets per day, so there are some sets that are only 30 and some are 50-ish, so I am also trying to pay attention to that... but in the beginning I was doing as many as I could, and I started out with 3 sets per day and worked my way up to 5 sets per day.  so far, in my 108 days of doing pushups I have not done fewer than 3 sets in a day nor more than 5 sets in a day.

I am not sure what could work for you.. maybe start out with just 2 or 3 sets and maybe don't be too demanding on yourself, and once you get used to it, then you can increase your number of sets and/or your number of pushups per set... Try to make it easy to accomplish and just try to keep it in mind each day, whether it is triggered by getting up or some other activity.. such as before you eat.. (I don't feel as good if I do my pushups right after eating).

That is a lot of pushups.  I did have one day (on May 7th) that I did 60 pushups every set, so my total for that day was 300, and it was not easy.. and since the 10th, I have been sticking to around 200 per day.. at least for now..

If you provide a pushup report in the correct format, then your name and pushup results will be included in the table.

After reading through the benefits of push ups first to the health and the muscles, I wound be joining the 100 push ups daily but I'm kind of ignorant how it's been done here concerning the records and all of that. However I need someone to please walk me through the procedure of the challenge so I can start up as soon as possible.

However I need someone to please walk me through the procedure of the challenge so I can start up as soon as possible.
First of all you are very much welcome to this push-up challenge concerning the record it's simple we have our push-up record format which was introduced by DirtyKeyboard which is shown below

100k,YourUserName,Daysofpush-up,TotalPushups,YYYY-MM-DD.

After 100k you continue with your username, your days of push-up you record it which is 1 which will be written in your days of push-up the total number you did too if it is 100 numbers of push-up you will record it in the place of total numbers of push-up and the date you are reporting.
For example this is what I mean

100k,Makus,1,100,2024-05-23.
You can also cheek what others did for more clarification.

Sir, I am sure you're familiar with Push-Ups exercise and  the essence of this Challenge. This Thread was created by @Og nasty for the purpose of supporting Bitcoin until it reaches $100k while @Dirty keyboard is in charged of Taking Push-Ups records and updating them as well and @Jay JuanGee has been a great Supporter of this challenge.

The Format use for submitting your Daily Push-Ups report is very Simple, All you have to do is to post the number Push-Ups you can do for a day With the right formatt.

This is the right format to use in submitting your report:-
100k,USERNAME,DAYS-OF-PUSH-UPS,TOTALPUSH-UPS,YYY-MM-DD

For example: My Today Push-Ups = 50 Push-ups

I must admit I've been quite inconsistent in my report here although I have not deviated from my daily pushups and excerise, I really appreciate this thread for helping out in building a habit that has and will ever be helpful to me.

I would give a comprehensive report of my progress since the last time i reported here.
