Yes. Trading is a bad thing, and even if you have proper understanding and common sense, you are not going to be rescued from the various difficulties of trading.
You are absolutely correct, trading can be very dangerous especially if someone is not disciplined because this is a strong tool that every trader should hold on to because it will help them from making some reckless and careless decisions after losing a trade especially if the money lost is very huge. I have seen someone who made few thousand of dollars and immediately lost everything that is how bad and dangerous trading can be so, when they say trading is risky believe me it is very risky. You can do everything right and still end up underperforming based on trading as compared to what you could have had done if you had remained focused on ongoing and persistent accumulation through ongoing buying and holding (and without selling) - especially after 8 years or longer. There are not too many traders in bitcoin who could have had beaten a bitcoin accumulation strategy that stayed focused on ongoing buying and accumulating, especially after 8 years or longer. That’s why is good to just focusing on accumulating bitcoin, because if your mindset is to trade bitcoin, you may have good entries, and have some profitable trades, but still slowly loss ground if miss a few major bitcoin moves. But focusing on accumulating bitcoin doesn’t need you to keep an eyes for chart, every cycle can serve the accumulator in different way, because when the price low is an opportunity to get more when the price high that is encouraging to keep focus with accumulation rather than to trade, but when focus on trading any time price high you sell, after selling you have to find the right opportunity to buy back to rebuild the bitcoin position which is totally waste of time for trader, something you can buy to rebuild the position, is better to focus on long term.

If your buy and sell decision depends on the chart, then the chart will also lead you to panic selling. looking at the chart is not entirely bad depending on how you look at it but basing your action on what the chats says only means that you will be willing to sell even when you have not reached your investment goal and that is more land planting and trying to reap even when the crops have not attained maturity. There is a time to buy and when you are buying, keep at it and don't allow the chart influence your buy decision. selling should never come to mind as long as you are still building your bitcoin stack. build first and when you have reached your investment goal, you can then talk of a possible sell.

I think the buy or sell question really depends on what BTC is doing at the moment and on the timeframe you’re looking at. Personally, I’ve been keeping an eye on a few things before making that decision — mainly the 50/200 EMA, RSI and volume. Nothing too complicated. I’m basically looking at: • whether price is holding above or below the main EMA levels • whether RSI is confirming the current momentum • whether volume is actually supporting the move Sometimes price action can look quite convincing on its own, but when you look at momentum and volume as well, the picture can be a little different. I’ve been keeping some notes and charts on this setup here, in case anyone wants to take a look: https://pdfcloud365.com/upload/dc/6xtfv/Detailed-BTC/My-BTC/USD-setup.pdfCurious what everyone else is looking at before deciding between buy or sell. Are you mostly following price action, or do you also use indicators?

If you are interested in trading, then I think that you should take it to the appropriate board, because what you are doing here is totally off topic to what we are discussing here. I don't want to sound rude or harsh to you but you need to take this your trading talk elsewhere. My only advice to you is to save yourself the stress of monitoring the market and trading, by switching to buying and holding it, because in few years time from now, it's going to be the best decision you have ever made for yourself, because this winning and losing that you are doing in trading will never take you anywhere, because trading it's is very stressful and is even not as rewarding as Bitcoin investment, so why not start your accumulation now that the opportunity is still available?

Are you mostly following price action, or do you also use indicators? This isn't a trading thread but a long term bitcoin investment thread and methods on how to accumulate bitcoin with DCA overtime till you reach your bitcoin target. There's no special time of when to buy because the best time to buy is when you have your discretionary income and you don't need to time the market because it's unpredictable. I see that you're still a newbie, you need to put your orientation on a long term investment mindset and forget about trading because it's a waste of time and resources. What you should do is to figure out if you have discretionary income and know how much from there you can comfortably buy bitcoin with every week. Using DCA method to accumulate bitcoin will give you the opportunity to increase your bitcoin stash gradually without any pressure on you financially. Bitcoin is a long term asset and not a get rich quick scheme so that, you know what you're doing and don't run into big losses for following the wrong path. A long term bitcoin investor don't need the chart to know when to buy because it's useless, you only just need to ongoingly buy bitcoin consistent and persistent overtime. Traders are losers in the long run because they cannot outsmart the market.

Why would someone who intends to hold for a long period consider buying the dip with a loan? That is a big risk, and the person thinks he is smart, but he has no idea that he is putting himself in a situation that will affect him financially. Anyone who is thinking about that only cares about profit, and that person is not even ready to invest in bitcoin, perhaps he wants to try his luck by buying the dip and selling if the price rises, no one should take out a loan to buy bitcoin because it is a bad idea.
I will not recommend taking out a loan to buy bitcoin since bitcoin is unpredictable; you don't know what the price will be in the next few minutes or weeks, and a loan is supposed to be paid back in the time you specify, so what happens if the price does not rise and you want to repay the loan? Investing in bitcoin is not a do or die decision, if you are unable to buy it with your own hard earned money, do not take out a loan to get bitcoin.
I have a problem the way you generalized it that anyone taking loan to buy a dip is trying to sell when the price rises. Disciplined long term investors that do it just want to increase their Bitcoin portfolio and continue accumulating/ holding. Of course I am against anyone taking loan with the expectation that Bitcoin will rise for them to take profit to payback or his ongoing accumulation plan as backup incase he can’t repay. Everybody has different financial situation and cash flow. Someone may have other reliable income source or profit from business that can cover the repayment.

There is a time to buy and when you are buying, keep at it and don't allow the chart influence your buy decision. And when did you think it's time to buy ? Remember you're giving this advice to a beginner so I would appreciate it if you make things clearer for him. The time to buy should be when he figured out his discretionary funds. And when buying he shouldn't look at the market chart or trying to time the market that's if they want their accumulation journey not be a bit stressful for them because I saw some newbie Bitcoin testifying on how Bitcoin investment has been very stressful not knowing that it's due to the strategy they've chosen to adopt that made their accumulation journey to be a bit stressful for them. That is why I frequently suggest that a beginner should adopt the DCA strategy because it's the most flexible method of accumulating bitcoin.

Panic selling is quite common among newbies and those that still don’t understand what they are investing in. I’m speaking base on experience , because then I was the type that usually panic and sell when the market dip , dropping the value of my assets . Not realizing that the more I panic sell the more I loss , because in order no matter are the price drop Aslong you still hold and didn’t sell you are not in loss , unless you sold during the dip all the name of panicking .

I think the difficult aspect of using a loan to purchase the dip is the pressure it's puts on the investors. bitcoin can take much time than expected to cover and having a loan payment that is hanging over you can make it more difficult to remain calm when the market moves against one. But if the Bitcoin investment eventually working out the I think the short term pressure and interest cost still matters anyone that go for a loan should be able to repay the loan when due from there normal income without putting pressure to sell their Bitcoin.
I think you are making a mistake here and it is very wrong to hope on using your Bitcoin investment profit to repay loan I mean that is not cool and not advisable. Before one should take a loan or borrow money, they should check within themselves if they have a strong source of income or multiple source of income because hoping on using your Bitcoin investment is a waste of time because I'm 80-90 percent sure that you won't make it if you want to use your investment therefore this thought should be put away. Taking of loan to invest in Bitcoin is actually not advisable even if during a dip and not just that, hoping to pay back from Bitcoin profit Before doing that one should have asked oneself many questions. For example, when do you plan to pay back and how long will you hold before paying back? What is the difference between trying to pay back from profit made and Bitcoin trading? Taking that measure can create unnecessary financial bottlenecks because loan is not money that we can afford to lose.

In the bear market, as the Bitcoin price falls, they panic and sell out.

Most of the people that panic in after they have invested...actually 85% of them have not invested in Bitcoin before...and some of them are into short-term investment...because i understand that why short-term investors always been curious to make withdrawal whenever they invested in Bitcoin and price of Bitcoin is not promising, it's based on, some of them capitals they use invest doesn't belong to them....I think that's one of the factors that makes them to be more curious to make a profit and also panicked whenever Bitcoin price are falling...

In the bear market, as the Bitcoin price falls, they panic and sell out.In your first line, you said that experienced/knowledgeable investors also panic, well if this is the case then it is so obvious that the investors still lacks understanding...For someone to truly understand Bitcoin then that individual would be able to know that Bitcoin is an extremely volatile asset that has it seasons..Surely there will be period whereby Bitcoin will experience a pump in price, and there are also times when it will dip, that's the normal behavior of Bitcoin and should this come as a big surprise to anyone, or that the person is expecting only bull season, then it is obvious that such an individual is yet to understand what they are investing in.. We are all humans that's for sure, and so it okay or normal to get worried over price drop, that's a normal thing, but there is actually a very huge difference between feeling worried and then panic selling all your accumulated Bitcoin... Also when there is also knowledge the individual will be able to tell that Bitcoin isn't an asset that they should be invested with fund outside of what they can afford to lose...And about the whole knowledge talks, I am not suggesting that folks delay their accumulation journey just to fortify themselves with enough knowledge, rather I believe that they could start and then learn as they go...

I agree with you here that some of these investors invest with the mindset of selling prematurely when the value of Bitcoin appreciate, so they becomes very uncomfortable once the value of Bitcoin is constantly declining instead of appreciating, but I believe that the main reason investors panic when the market dips, and they eventually sell prematurely is when they invest what they cannot afford to lose, because if they invest only from their discretionary income, they wouldn't be that troubled by the dip because they knows that even though the worst happens, they will still be fine. So investing what you cannot afford to lose is the main reason investors sell in panic when their is a dip in the market.

You're right it's accumulation is much more advantageous than trading. Many people don't see the stress involved in trading, they don't know the extra problems it causes to them, they only care about making short term gains and are blinded by it. The problem with trading is that you have to be right about about all your decisions and you have to do it twice (when you sell and when you buy back) without any mistake. Any wrong move will cost you no matter how good you've been doing so right there, the risk is just too much and really not worth it for me. Don't they see that accumulating Bitcoin for a long time is a better choice where both price movements benefits you. Price dips allows you to buy at a lower price and rise in value makes your existing Bitcoin more valuable so both is a win for accumulators. That's just one part of it, the best part is that you don't have to worry about keeping track of charts, everything is made easy so why take so much risk for profit that is not certain.

The primary reason for panic selling is not merely the fact that an investor is new or is not using their own capital the real issue is that people invest money in Bitcoin that they might need in the near future. consequently as soon as the price drops they abandon long term plans and sell hastily to avoid losses. Bitcoin's Volatility is nothing new. The problem lies not in the price drop itself but in failing to assess one's Financial capacity and investment timeframe beforehand. one should set aside funds for emergencies and essential expenses investing only discretionary income that won't cause financial strain if left untouched for a long period. Doing so reduces the likelihood of panic selling even during a 30–40% market Correction. Therefore rather than Simply blaming new investors or a short term mindset the focus should be on Whether the investor can comfortably hold the investment. investing excessive capital without proper financial planning is the root cause of panic selling blaming Bitcoin later is merely an attempt to mask that flawed Planning .

So investing what you cannot afford to lose is the main reason investors sell in panic when their is a dip in the market. Those who buy Bitcoin intention to make profit in short time is not investor they are traders . They use Bitcoin like gambling. Because in the short term, the price of Bitcoin fluctuates unpredictably. So no strategy will be of much use here. But if you accumulate for a long time, its planning is much simpler. No price prediction is required. Just buy Bitcoin regularly from discretionary income. Seeing that you have to buy regularly with a small amount of funds, the mental pressure is less. Because when you hold for a long time, you do not have to predict any price of the short time movement in this long period. The biggest achievement for a Bitcoin investor is not to predict every market move. Creating a financial system in which he can accumulate Bitcoin despite the market being unpredictable and this strategy is more important.

buy or sell? 😭 honestly depends on the chart, but panic selling is usually where it gets ugly lol
Trading based on charts can easily take you from an investment mindset to a trading mindset. The most important thing when it comes to Bitcoin savings is whether you have discretionary income and whether you can hold onto that money for a long time after investing it. You are probably new to this. As a new investor, when you try to buy by looking at the chart over and over again, you may not be able to find the "perfect entry" and start. Or you may be afraid to sell after buying if you see the chart go down a little. However, a long-term investor never makes decisions based on charts, but rather gradually strengthens his position according to his cashflow.

buy or sell?
That is just fact about often checking charts is that, when an investor keeps checking the chart from time to time, it will start getting confusing because there will always be a reason for not buying at that particular time.If someone has accumulated some Bitcoin, he or she may try to be smart by selling when the market is high little bit and buying back when it is low. This can lead such a person into trading, as they may keep waiting for the perfect time to enter the market. This can even cause more losses, and that is how someone can end up losing all money while trying to trade, because it very hard to continue getting good results from trading good result come once in while in trading, someone can lose like five likely to make profit once. What people should understand is that there is no perfect time to buy Bitcoin. Every opportunity is an opportunity and when it comes to selling period someone need to hold it Bitcoin for long period of time at like four times 10 years.

No investor or trader invest or trade with the mindset to sell prematurely, instead they are forced to sell prematurely due to some of these reasons. - when you trade or invest with what is not your discretionary income, when the market begins to declined you will be forced to sell, because you will be in panic mode. - when an investor go into investment without protecting his holdings, that with emergency and reserve funds. We know it never good to delay starting your investment, so even when you start without discretionary income, make sure you are looking for means to get more discretionary income, so you can make provision for your emergency funds. - when a user don’t make research about bitcoin investment, such person could panic when there is downflow in the market, and out of panic he can sell his holdings. - lastly, when a person trade instead of to invest. Investing in Bitcoin, especially for a long time can give you that much time no to panic no matter how the Market is. Traders or short time investor panic and sell their holdings when the market is declining.
