Not winning the game in regular time was always going to be risky for Arsenal. Penalties are always a 50/50 chance and today, Arsenal wasn’t the better side.
 After they conceded in the first half, I had hoped they would by some means get an equalizer and then going into the second half, they find their winning goal but, that wasn’t the case today. Fleetwood had a compact defense set up, just what Arsenal wasn’t known for and they used their tactics against them.
They didn’t manage a win in regular time but, they sure did beat Arsenal in the penalties.

What do you expect for a competition that is only a sideline because even though this is an official competition but still for some big clubs especially those who are still focused on more prestigious competitions this will only be considered as a sideline.  It wasn't Arsenal it was just a bunch of youngsters playing ball and a few players struggling a little bit to break into the first squad so I don't have too much hope though for a big club who are in the highest caste of England in the EFL because the result will definitely be partly like this.

It is possible for fans this will be disappointing but with so many competitions this can also have an impact on the performance and fitness condition of the core players if they continue to be forced to focus so that this defeat looks to be reasonable because from the beginning it seemed Arsenal did want to eliminate this competition from their list so that the players could have a little longer rest time.

I couldn’t watch the match, I was just surprise to see that Arsenal is out of the EFL. It’s a match which I feel Arsenal will win easily, I never believed the match is even going to get to penalty level. I am just kind of disappointed with Arsenal performance, how did they even draw against a team like Fleetwood. I don’t even know what happened to Arsenal in the match, but competition like this are suppose to be taken serious, if they are able to win the EFL, it will have been so nice, but Arsenal is out already, and they lost to a team which I don’t even know about, how will they lose to Fleetwood, it’s really annoying.

I checked the score line when the first half of the match ended, and I noticed that Fleetwood were winning, but I still had confidence in Arsenal that they will win the match in the second half of the match, it’s surprising for me to check now, and I noticed that Arsenal couldn’t get a win, Arteta should be ashamed of himself today, how will he allow a team like Fleetwood to eliminate him, it’s doesn’t make any sense to me.

Arsenal got knocked out by a league 2 side tonight. Fleetwood run riot after defeating the EPL champion tonight in penalty shootout. It was really a difficult game for Arsenal, and we can clearly see it because they were down to 10men following the Max Dowman behaving against the rules and got a red card.

I won't say Red card was the main issue why Arsenal lost the game but they did underestimate their opposition and what happen? Fleetwood was determined to press and win this game and they also defended well against Arsenal. Congratulations once again to Fleetwood of making it out alive to the next round.

Huge sensation for a team so much weaker then Arsenal to win. This was a crazy win by Fleetwood and they defended like crazy and were able to holdout until penalties. Arsenal should have finished the match a lot more earlier before the red card,even later when they received the red card Arsenal continued to attack but just couldnt score. Lets see how far Fleetwood can go after this huge win.

All these small teams take these games more seriously, both the coaches and the players, they prepare better and put in their best because the players know the attention of the world is on them and do their best. Arsenal losing does not still remove them as favorites in the other competitions they are in because losing out in one competition can increase your chance to win in another as you will have more time to prepare for it and also rest well and not get fatigued. Arsenal really messed up last night seriously, how can we explain that Fleetwood knocked EPL champions from caraboa cup? In this life we don't need to underestimate people, whether big or small we have to see every equal. This are the reasons why i like Pep Guardiola he don't underestimate any clubs that's the main reasons he won many trophies for man city before he left the club. Arteta underestimated Fleetwood that's why he lost this match, now over confidence has knocked him out of caraboa cup

We can't really say the red card made them lost to Fleetwood last night, because Fleetwood scored them around 21 minutes which till first half end without Arsenal equalising. It was 50 minutes on the second half they managed to score and this red card was given to Dowman in 85 minutes, red card can't be an excuse of losing to Fleetwood over confidence killed the club last night

Most players from small teams usually prepare for the big fixtures like this. They don't prepare simply because of the tournament in contest, they prepare more because they understand they're going to have the opportunity to receive wider audience and views which could be life changing. Big teams meeting some of these league two teams should expect more of this. Fleetwood understand that Arsenal is a big team that will score multiple goals if they see the opportunity which was why they went very defensive to frustrate the Arsenal players.

Arsenal are not favourite in all the competitions that is left for them, there’s no problem if that is what their fans want to use and console themselves we understand. In the champions league, all fingers are pointing towards PSG as the favorite to win the trophy. The FA Cup have not started but I’m sure same that that happened to them against Fleetwood will happen to them again in the FA cup.

The premier league is where I see them as favorites but they have to be careful. A strong team aim for the treble and quadruple, do Arsenal forbids that? If Arsenal fans are saying they exit the Caraboa Cup because they want to focus more on other competitions, I have to question their mentality.

It is not a big surprise to me that Fleetwood town plays a defensive game, since they are up against the English premier league champions, so they rod their luck very well untill it got to a penalty shootout that they finally prevail.

No, that line up should never be an excuse, Arsenal had only two new academy players on that starting line up which was O’Neil and Salmon the rest were first team players and they should be winning this games easily. Fleetwood town are a league two club, that’s not even tier two but tier four in English football division and they are even just above relegation there. To be Frank even Arsenal U21 full team should be the one dragging this team to penalty shootout. I think we Should be applauding that this was a great performance by the league 2 club and forget about the arsenal line up.

This is now up there with the Manchester United defeat to Grimsby in last season’s EFL cup edition and many didn’t even blame the line up then. It’s still the same to me, with any line up this should be games they are winning regardless of any player they use

Yet to realize that arsenal lost to Fleetwood with hard labour I can't imagine, as this could be the worst they ever experienced this season, having confidence most time is very bad I was believe arsenal game yesterday with full confidence that they will grab this with ease but seeing their struggle on the match destroy my interest where I never cared to end the match Fleetwood really prepared for. The with hopefully targeting the best the gave them the moral and courage of putting arsenal where they are in that game losing the cup, Viktor has tried by equalizing the game by 49 minutes that would have help arsenal , dowman follow course arsenal predicament by receiving red card but that is not yardstick if the have prepared to win they would gotten two goal before then but allowed Fleetwood to give them first goal who they struggle to equalize.

I didn't watch this game but the final score amaze me, seeing Gunners lost to a team of such was funny. I thought they will be able to equalize and get a comeback win in the second half but not until this morning I saw the interesting of Gunners lost on penalty to a team in the second division.

Football can be like this and when it happens to a rivalry team it is exciting and high laughable, sometimes this is the strategy a lower team can use against a top team and as long as they could keep it up with the pressing until the final whistle, they more likely will be the victor.

Now I understand why small clubs get excited when they are drawn against Arsenal because that have tg belief they can do something against them and last night, Fleetwood were able to do something against the Gunners. First of all, that's the worst performance I've seen from a big club playing a league 2 club who are even 18th placed. These are the clubs Man City punish ruthlessly for fun but it gets to Arsenal and we see very poor and embarrassing football. Not only did they play badly, there was also a red card in the game shown to Max Dowman for a nasty tackle.
 Honestly, Arsenal deserved to be eliminated because they didn't even look like they were prepared for the tournament.
