Quite amusing to see Arsenal bundled out of the cup by League 2 Fleetwood last night but when the dust settles, I don’t think their fans will be too hurt.

They are imo favourites to win the PL and they have a good shot at the CL so much more important targets for them than the EFL Cup.

Liverpool vs Chelsea tonight where I expect both teams to rotate heavily, in that scenario it is really difficult to predict a result.

It is quite unfortunate that Arsenal were knocked out by Fleetwood. Claiming that the EFL Cup is unimportant serves as a convenient justification, though the actual result doesn't necessarily validate that stance.

Liverpool remains the team I support, and I would still bet on them to win—even if it is just the EFL Cup. I don’t believe the big clubs take the League Cup very seriously. In yesterday’s match between Fleetwood and Arsenal, Arsenal was eliminated from the tournament following a penalty shootout.
It came as a surprise that Arsenal was knocked out by a team from the second tier. Had the Arsenal players been more motivated, they might have been the ones to advance to the next round.

I am curious about the outcome of today’s match between Manchester City and Brighton. While it wouldn’t be a massive shock if Brighton were to eliminate City in this round, Manchester City—playing on their home turf—remains the favorite to win.

You can't always blame them, because having a whole bunch of fixtures from different competitions will be exhausting for the first squad players that's why smaller competitions like this are usually given to the other players so the main players can rest to play the most competitive leagues. If it's not done that way many players will start picking up injuries and getting fatigued.

The defeat was really a surprise, no one thought the premier league champions will be knocked out by Fleetwood so early into the competition. I still think Arsenal could have won with those players but they really just lack the motivation to win. I believe they've now learned their lesson.

Manchester City vs Brighton is really a big match. I think anyone can win it and it difficult to predict a winner easily in this one. Manchester City is at home so they should have higher chances of winning.

Every team in England take all the competition in the league very seriously the only mistakes most of the big teams make is to look down on the teams from the second division whenever they play against them that is what cost Arsenal the game yesterday.Fleetwood was more serious in the match but after they scored Arsenal manager decided to bring in some players that will help him win the match but unfortunately for him they ended up losing to Fleetwood in the penalties. Arsenal players were motivated if you saw their performance you will understand that they believed that it would be an easy game for them that was why the firsttesm was not used by Arteta.

I was very shocked yesterday that Arsenal lost, this was not the outcome I was expecting from the match. I was not even expecting the match to get to penalties. I was expecting Arsenal to win the match before even getting to penalties.

The only thing I saw in that match was that Arsenal underrated them, and they were not serious that was why they lost the match, if Arsenal brought out the determination they used in playing Bayern Munich believe me they would have won the match.

No matter how small a team is it’s bad to underestimate them, Arsenal underestimated them that was why they lost. This is the simple truth.

That it, with Arsenal being knocked out in this competition already, it a boost for the remaining big teams in the competition. The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester city and even Aston Villa are in the competition. I hav a feeling that the winner in todays game between Chelsea and Liverpool will have a good run in the competition and even possibly win it.

For me with the level of competition in the English football now, even the Corabao is a very serious cup to win. At least if you can win this you won’t be considered to have a trophy free season. Arsenal boss was furious about their exit in this competition. It a bad one for the gunners.

In as much as I would like to agree with you, I will also like you to know that there is no guarantee that they will win the premier league or the champions league. There is this saying that " you should not throw away water in your drum because the weather looks like it will rain"   they should not neglect or forfeit any cup because of premier league and champions league because like I said they may not even win any of them whereas, they would win other cup if they hadn't neglected them.

He didn't make a direct statement, he mentioned that the focus is on the Premier League and Champions League, which we know that they are the favorites, Arenal are defending champions in the Premier League and also for a fact that they arrived in the Champions League final previous season, makes them a deep favorite in this season Premier League and Champions League, even if there is no certainty for them finishing as winners.

Regardless of the claim,  it's so embarrassing being kicked out of the competition by a league two team, rival fans would even use it to troll them and ir would be in the record that Fleetwood once kicked out an incumbent Premier League Champion from the EFL cup in an early stage. Some of my Arsenal friends where so quiet yesterday after the match cause they were disappointed.
 Uhmm, i can't trust Chelsea, i don't really see something special that Xabi Alonso is doing but Liverpool looks more ambitious so I'll support them to win today's game against Chelsea.

What happened to Arsenal yesterday was actually shocking, I never expected Arsenal to lose that match, I was expecting the match to be finished in the first half, but Fleetwood scored first and Arsenal leveled up. I was expecting Arsenal to score additional goal early in the second half, but since they couldn’t and the Fleetwood coach was prepared to pack box against Arsenal and he succeeded.

It was a shameful defeat yesterday because Arteta underrated the match, and this small team shocked the world to defeat the premier league defensive champions but I am expecting this to be a great lesson to Arteta, he should know that all matches are important, he can learn from that and focus on the remaining competitions. The problem now is the injury rate at Arsenal, almost all their wingers are injured, and they will have to face Liverpool in the premier league next match, I think Arteta have a great work to do in that match because without wingers, the team will struggle to create chances.

What surprised me yesterday was the Fleetwood were able to compose themselves yesterday. There was this instance when the goalkeeper has to make 2 solid saves in a minute to keep his side in the game. With the kind of odd Arsenal was given, matches like that should have ended with at least 4 goals in their favour. I know this wasn't expected but its one of the days to always bear in mind that football can happen to any team.

With the kind of players Arteta used yesterday, I don't think he really underrated Fleetwood Town. Fleetwood Town are a team from League Two, and even their position in the league table is really poor, which shows that they are not in good form. However, Arteta gave them that kind of line-up, and I think it was okay. Even with that kind of squad, I expected them to win the match so easily.Just imagine the kind of players Arteta used. How many players from Arsenal's first-team squad were missing? There were only a few. It is rubbish that those players played the way they did, and they are the ones I blame for losing the match, not Arteta. One of the things about the Carabao and FA cups is we get to see this kind of upsets and it’ll never end. Those teams in the lower divisions live for such moments, they always want to win the teams in higher divisions it’s a bragging rights for them and their fans.
Fleetwood were kitted like Arsenal and were more Arsenal than Arsenal….lol.
Arsenal though played better but they couldn’t break this Fleetwood down, if their second eleven can’t win matches for them, I don’t see how they’ll win the premier league again.
Losing out on penalties they should also work on that.

Looking at this lineup, I am not confident that Liverpool might get a win tonight. Maybe iraola is priotizing the premier league and the upcoming UCL game over this. They have a big fixture against Arsenal on Sunday. Alonso starts a strong eleven, which could potentially get a win at Anfield tonight. I am not even sure if this Liverpool attackers will get a goal tonight.
I might give Chelsea 2-0/2-1 win tonight. They should be able to win this competition since they don't play in any European competition and their players will tend to rest more.

Liverpool is wining this match by high margin,  Chelsea has strong match against Manchester United in the weekend,  I'm sure alonso will definitely rest some players in this game tonight for the tough league match against Manchester united.  As for Manchester city and Brighton it's will be a bmbery tough game,  I'll play Manchester city to qualify that's safer, this game will end in a draw Brighton are have a good season and they are going into this game with  enough confidence. On the other hands Manchester city won't like to lose two games in a roll after their premier lost to Aston Villa last weekend.

What that heck?   I watched the first half of the match and switched to something else. I had no idea Arsenal had lost and been kicked out of the EFL Cup by a league two team. I don’t know how the second half went since I didn’t watched it, but it was obvious that Arteta was saving his best players for their big match against Liverpool.

As for Liverpool and Chelsea’s match, I think both teams will score but I can’t really predict the outcome because, both teams have been performing equally badly, although their performances have improved recently.

I hate it when coaches experiment with matches, if you want to test your younger squad is it in the Carabao cup? every year Artheta keeps on making same mistake, last year he was lucky to win the EPL but if he doesn’t take time he won’t win any major trophy this season.

Imagine the embarrassment his mistake have cost the team and fans, a small team like Fleetwood coming to knock Arsenal out of the Carabao competition, anyway it is football anything can happen, that is the fun of football.

It is not the fault of coaches to play with younger players the carabao cup because they see it as less competitive compared to the premier league and champions league, and they cannot risk playing younger players in the premier league because it will make them drop points and give their rivals advantage in the title race so carabao cup is where they give younger players opportunity to show case their talent, Arteta is not the only coach that is guilty of this, every coach in the premier league always do this, and it has made big teams crash out of the carabao cup the way Arsenal crashed out yesterday.
