I would like to share an idea with the community since this is a community that is hands on.

I was thinking why don't we setup a Hall of Fame type system for people that contribute new services to Guldencoin. Like the pioneers that have a helping hand in making this currency great... So in 20-40-100 years from now people can look through the Hall of Fame archives to see who contributed to the new Dutch currency.

EG: Name of first Merchant Owner - Subways Leeuwarden first offline merchant to accept Guldencoin
EG:  4th December 2014 - Geert Johan develops a new algorithm and a algorithm Simulator(First for Crytos)

Of course if you want to remain anonymous you can put a alias name in there instead. I think this will motivate more people to contribute and leave there mark in history before they pass on from this world.

something like this? https://timeline.guldencoin.com (i now its not white names)

That's a nice Idea, but I think most people that are doing things to deserve a spot on such a Hall of Fame, would do (and have done) it regardless.

Please don't get your integer business involved in the scammy world of buying followers (and fans). You are just buying a number.

I have read your discussions and am glad to see that you are all eager to get things going! Most of you also see that the algorithm part is something that's left best in the more than capable hands of our Dev-Team.

The best thing to focus on (like many posts above describe) is getting a solid user-base and more merchants in. I said this before, what is the use of an excellent network with the best possible algorithm, if it will only be used to transfer Guldens from and to exchanges?

What we need more than the improved algo (and this for sure will come shortly as well) is to get more actual users of Guldencoin in. This is not something that happens by itself, it needs serious attention.

Although I like almost any idea that tries to improve our user base in a creative way, it is also wise to not bluntly cast out all those ideas at once or unprepared. A good example for this is the Thunderclap campaign. This was really a briljant idea (You have my respect Kwaasteniet), but the effect was minimal due to the fact is was launched too soon without a solid plan and not followed up properly.

Some of you know we are working hard on a campaign. This might take too long for some of you, but keep in mind, that if you really want to create a big bang, one must acquire sufficient gunpowder and carefully stuff if, before you ignite!

Believe me, once we are ready to ignite, the bang will be so loud, at least half of all dutch people will be talking about it the morning after. Let those 100 journalist contacts of Veertje try to ignore that!
Cool

It is Buerra with the contacts of the journalists  Wink

Free publicity works best, but I've tipped 100 Dutch journalists about the RT coverage. But they won't bite.

That keeps spirit, LTEX. Take the time to prepare this.

I saw an old man at the grocery store today with several of the discontinued Gulden notes in his wallet. It struck me at that moment: if we are trying to use peoples' nostalgia for the old currency to drive adoption of Guldencoin, we should make Guldencoin look a little bit more familiar.

Why not create paper wallets that look like the old Gulden notes and preload them with Guldencoins? Surely the nostalgia for the old Gulden note comes from the older crowd who used it for most of their life, these are also the people who are most scared of their pension being worthless due to a Euro crash. We need to make the Guldencoin look and feel more familiar for these people before they will invest in it.

P.S. Do you think there would be any legal issues with this plan? The Gulden is no longer legal tender so I can't see why there would be.

There is a big plan in the making already (see message LTEX), this idea is maybe something to pick up also. Can be done at any time later on as well.

FYI

Just withdrew NLG from Bluetrade to my wallet and it took 1 second for the coins to show up!  That's amazing, I really do see a bright future for NLG...

Project Guldencoin:

This will be divided into 3 tiers.

Tier 1:

Projects that take 1 month or less to complete.

Tier 2:

Projects that take between 1 month and 3 months to complete.

Tier 3:

Projects that take over 3 months to complete.

We currently have 1 project in each category and our first one is due for testing next week before we do a Pre ANN for it. I am happy to announce it will be a first for crypto currencies. Infact 2 projects will be crypto firsts and the 3rd will be semi first and we can't wait to share with you what we have in store. Smiley
