The biggest surprise of the round was Bodø/Glimt and another surprising thing was to see Atalanta coming back from that by a huge win over Dortmund.

Inter Milan versus Bodo/Glimt was a result that we all never thought it would happen. It was somehow understandable when Bodo/Glimt won Inter Milan at home but when they traveled to Italy and still won Inter Milan, it was a shocker because everyone was expecting Inter Milan to win in their own home but shamefully lost again.

Galatasaray were also nearly messing up hard by a horrible effort in the 2nd leg but Juventus were out of energy during extra time. They really need to play better next time.

Galatasaray almost messed up everything when they allowed Juventus to level the score on goal aggregate but they were lucky in the extra time if not it would have been a very ugly experience if they were eliminated after they won Juventus by 5:2, then they came for the second leg and lost even while Juventus had a red card.

Tottenham / Liverpool is going to be their next target in last 16. I hope they get Tottenham from the draw otherwise I don't expect them to see quarter finals. 

So you think that Tottenham will make an easier opponent, you may not know if Tottenham might give them a tough match than Liverpool. They have played and won Liverpool and they must have known the weakness of Liverpool so i don't see any challenge if they meet Liverpool again.

Teams that are favorites on paper can be defeated in the Champions League. Let's remember this from Inter's elimination. When this draw came up, everyone thought Inter would easily win both matches and advance, but Borussia Dortmund surprised the world by winning both games. This is the Champions League, and anything is possible.

The big hope for the next surprise will definitely be in the last 16 especially considering the current conditions some of the big clubs could meet directly in the last 16 and the current eye-catcher for me is Manchester City which is likely to meet Bodo (again) and of course the annual derby with Madrid.

I hope this year Madrid and Manchester City don't meet from the start because in recent seasons they have always met in the last 16 and quarter finals and this season I don't really expect that but it does depend on the draw because they could meet again.
For Bodo they also have the same probability and Manchester City should be more aware if they do meet Bodo especially after the defeat in the group phase and at the moment Bodo is a dark horse where since the group phase and play offs they have always given surprises that we could not even predict from the beginning.

It was not really a bad game for Juventus because they showed class. Scoring three goals with one man out is extraordinary.  They ensured that they defended well and took advantage of any available space to score. I thought the red card was harsh, taking a close and slow look showed that it might be an intentional action.

Atalanta is the only Italian club that made it to the round of 16. They were able to defeat Borussia Dortmund to get a ticket for the next round.

Because they couldn't make it to the round of 16 that's why some people could not acknowledge their performance yesterday, Juventus was the better team they played so well and scored 3 goals without a complete team, Victor Oshimen had to praise them as the better side after the game but the additional minute could not favour them and they ended up conceding goals that helped Galatasaray to knock them out.

Atalanta defeated Dortmund a team that was at 2 goals advantage, let's see how far Atalanta will go after their performance that helped them to qualify ahead of Dortmund.

Both Juventus and Galatasaray played brilliantly in the match, both teams giving their all to win. Unfortunately, Juventus received a red card in the 48th minute. Otherwise, they might have been able to withstand Galatasaray's onslaught and concede in stoppage time. The match in the second leg was different, Juventus were far superior to Galatasaray but unfortunately Galatasaray could still provide a very strong resistance to Juventus so that the score could be chased and make the aggregate even more difficult for Juventus to catch up because in the first leg they had a lot of debt so it was not very easy.
Osimhen in the first leg did not score at all, and in this second leg they managed to get what they needed to do, 1 goal for Osimhen and 1 goal for Yilmaz in the first half of time that destroyed Juventus.

The second leg was different, at first I didn’t expect Galatasaray to score in that match, but unfortunately Osimhen my brother do everything possible to see that he is the who will clear that zero, and then Yilmaz added his own goal making it two, but to be honest Juventus was not joking.

they play very good. Infact both team did well in that match, but the luck was in the side that is suppose to be, at first Juventus was the favorite to win which they did but so said that it’s end up this way.

The second leg of the Champions League match produced some odd results like PSG being unable to beat Monaco, Bodo/Glimt beating Inter Milan and Juvestus closing in on Galatasaray.  Even tonight we are seeing similar things happening, such as Fiorentina at home losing to Jagelliona and Fenerbahce beating Nottingham Forest at away after suffering 3 nils defeat jn first leg. I will use this year as a reference when discussing second legs in the future.

Vinicius Junior has faced these humiliations time after time from La Liga and now the Champions League competition,  it is a gutter behavior and shouldn't be tolerated any further. But that Samardzic penalty at the end… I mean, not even two goalkeepers could’ve stopped that. Atalanta is the only Italian team to make it through, which is kinda crazy when you think that last year Inter was in the final and Italian teams usually go deep in the UCL. Can’t wait for the draw tomorrow at 12 . I’m really curious who Bodo will get from these two teams. Mbappe is a goal machine and he will continue scoring more goals in the Champions League, last game against Benfica he didn't get the opportunity to score and the second leg will be this week and that will be another opportunity to for Mbappe to scored more goals in the Champions League.

What's more, after equalizing the score, Juventus missed several clear scoring opportunities. I think Galatasaray players seem tired both physically and mentally. After watching the first match, I wrote under this topic that Juventus would never dominate the second match, but while watching the second match, what I wrote here came to mind and I smiled for a moment... :)

Normally, that is why it’s called the second leg. If you were not able to do something in the first leg, you will have a chance to change it. Like in the game between Bodo/Glimt and Inter Milan, since from the first leg Inter Milan were playing poorly, that is why they were not able to do anything in the second leg. Losing in the playoff might be the best for them, maybe they will go and focus on the domestic league.

On the other hand, PSG, even playing against 10 players on the pitch, were still not able to break their defence, although regardless, they still won.

Galatasaray were harsh on Juventus from the first leg, and I know winning back those goals will be very difficult. So losing that game was not that deep for them, because even after losing, they knew they had won.

Atalanta defeating Dortmund by that much gap was not something I had in my view to be fair. Two games were quite shocking last night and I was really surprised to see. First and the biggest was Atalanta getting the win, being the only Italian team left, a 4-1 win is not something so easy to achieve and they have done something wonderful, I do hope they do well further in but I think this is the level they are going to stay, proof that league results and UCL results could be wildly different.

The other one was Juventus and Galatasaray, did not expected that game to be this close after the first game but somehow Juventus even after staying ten men after a red card, still managed to score 2 more and made it 3-0, but they were too tired to finish it off.
