Honestly the first half hasn't been easy game for Barcelona, but I'm happy as they a leading by one goal now. interesting performance from both side, they are both playing strongly to secure victory. Barcelona created many chances but they have been wasting them, honestly Roberto Lewandowski had no impact so far in this match, because how could he missed those chances? if he utilise the chances by now Barcelona mind will be at rest because Newcastle United is a formidable opponent in this match.

This is unexpected result for the first half of the game between Barcelona against Newcastle United like it's really unbelievable i didn't expect Newcastle United could hold Barcelona to draw till the end of the first half hmm i am beginning to like this game who knows Newcastle United might shock everyone tonight by winning Barcelona and it's gonna be a blast.

Another game i'm expecting will shock people is the Liverpool vs Galatassaray despite the odd being given to Galatassaray i am thinking they might win Liverpool in tonight game.

The Barcelona vs Newcastle match was much more intense in this second leg than in the first leg. In the first half both teams created numerous scoring opportunities, where it indicating that they had stepped up the pace of their attacks. Barcelona didn’t seem to put much pressure on their opponents. Newcastle worked very hard to match Barcelona’s style of play, where they always managing to score an equalizer whenever Barcelona tried to take the lead. The final outcome of this match is truly hard to predict. But I think the second half will determine the winner this time. And I think the winner will be the team that strengthens its defense more effectively in the second half. If Newcastle can strengthen their defense even further then I’m confident they’ll be able to eliminate Barcelona. But if Barcelona manages to do so Barcelona will undoubtedly be the winners. Barcelona’s 3-2 lead in the first half gives them an advantage to focus more on their defense in the 2nd half. But anything can happen in the second half. So let’s see how the second half unfolds.

This match is what football is supposed to be like, I love the intensity as well as the back to back equalizing from both teams... I really didn't expect Newcastle gameplay to be as tough as this, they may be down with 1goals, but I still see hope of a possible recovery considering how they were able to convert most of there chances in the 1st half, but again I really don't like underestimating Barcelona because of how easy it for those guys to change the whole game in just a split of seconds...

From my observation Trippier just pulled the hands of Raphinha for nothing,  since it is what cost them the PK....I doubt if Raphinha would have even caught that pass because of the power that was in it... Well it has already been done, so let's see how the 2nd half unfolds..

The first half ended with a provisional score of 3 - 2 for Barcelona's victory. Newcastle played very boldly, I didn't expect Newcastle to score two goals at Barcelona's home. because at home they only drew 1-1, this shows that Newcastle are very ambitious to win this match.

I am really flabbergasted with the performance of Newcastle in the first half because i didn't imagine they will score in the home of Barcelona not to talk of scoring 2 goals already despite that Barcelona lead the half-time after Lamine Yamal scored in additional minutes after 45 minutes of play.

I still hope Newcastle can score again, and with a 4-4 draw until the penalty shootout. It's been a long time since I watched a match until the penalty shootout and I think it will be an interesting spectacle.

Looks like someone wants a repeat of Inter Milan versus Barcelona match last season where they played draw in both meetings and Barcelona couldn't make it through at extra time. Penalty shootouts is kinda lucky play so if Newcastle equalizes and goes to extra time and peradventure enter a penalty shootout, it is possible they can send Barcelona packing out of the UEFA Champions League.

Yamal penalty kick separates both sides in the first half. I'm surprised how Newcastle is struggling with Barcelona to level up the scoreline by all means. This made me wonder why Barcelona is finding it difficult to defend their lead.

We can declare Barcelona the winner already, Fermin just scored the 4th goal for Barcelona extending the gap between them and Newcastle, from my observation more goals are entering the game before the final whistle.

At the time of writing, Lewandoski with the header making it 5-2, who goes to the quarter final is already decided.

Barcelona has just activated beast mode as they are sweeping Newcastle by 5:2 in just 56 minutes, more goals might come before full time. Barcelona got annoyed by the challenge of Newcastle in the first half so i understand why they are being ruthless now. Anthony Elanga will be regretting why he even scored the 2 goals for Newcastle in the first half because it will now appear like he didn't score in this match due to the massive goals coming from Barcelona. There's really so much teamwork amongst Barcelona players today because they are not being greedy since the 5 goals scored so far came from 5 different players. It's nice having Newcastle in the UCL games this season but this could be the end of the road for them as i see no magic for them after the fifth goal was scored by Robert Lewandowski.

Atletico Madrid have a high chance of losing today but they might qualify for the quarter-finals.

Several key players for Tottenham are unlikely to play in this second leg. Solanke and even Richarlison who played important roles in creating goals for Tottenham in the first leg are reportedly out for this second leg. So I personally predict that Atletico will win this match. And I’m confident they’ll further widen the aggregate lead over Tottenham. Atletico has a full-strength squad capable of replicating the victory from the first leg. This stands in stark contrast to Tottenham who have lost key players they were counting on to turn the tide. It's 6:2 currently, wtf. Barcelona should have compassion on Newcastle because i don't understand why they are humiliating them with so many goals. Maybe they are angry with the 2 goals that Newcastle scored because it made their defenders look stupid. Robert Lewandowski has scored a brace; a hat trick might be on the way. I have been asking myself, was it same players that played for Newcastle in the first half that are playing in the second half because i don't understand how they just came back and created many gaps for Barcelona to utilize on.

The match started off on a good foot as both teams were able to find the Bach of the net, Barcelona scored first and Newcastle responded with an equaliser, then Barcelona struck again to go a goal up. Will we be seeing another reply from Newcastle or Barcelona will run riot just like they have always when playing at home and needing a win? It took both teams less than 20 minutes to register 3 goals because both teams are in dare need of a win, fit this very match I'm supporting the Spanish side to demolish the English side. Barcelona has what it takes to win convincingly and progress to the other round.

I enjoyed what Newcastle is doing tonight most persons thought by now that Barcelona would have been winning like 2-0 but as Barcelona keeping scoring Newcastle keep equalizing it they will end the HT 2-2. Newcastle is going to be a hard side win this night from what they are playing they might shock everyone today. In champions league old rule if this match ends 2-2 Newcastle will advance to the quarter final because of their two goals advantage at Barcelona home ground but since the rules has changed they will be going into extra 15-15 minutes.

I enjoyed the way Newcastle were coming at Barcelona earlier but I knew it was only going to last but a moment, they had their moments which was good, they pressured Barcelona which I didn't expect but I knew Barcelona was going to demolish them. Newcastle had a good first half but everything is gone now as they have been given a mountain to climb. 4 goal difference now and more could still be added unless Barcelona slows down their tempo since they are already well ahead. They can just be playing around with the ball now and just see if they can score again not that they would be needing the goals anymore since it's already 6 - 2 on the night.

Only three teams from the EPL are left now and I think Arsenal is the only one with a strong chance to advance to the next round. Hopefully Liverpool can still make it as well. Tottenham and Newcastle look unlikely to turn things around based on the current score as I’m posting this.

In this Champions League we’re seeing an extremely high number of goals. I can still understand when Bayern score six against Atalanta, but when Barcelona score seven goals against Newcastle, it seems abnormal to me. And if we remember how they played in the first match, where Barcelona managed to score only from a penalty and only in extra time, I definitely didn’t expect them to score seven goals today. Although I did expect them to win at home. It will be interesting to see how Bayern play against Atalanta today after they have almost secured their place in the next round.

This is one of the unpredictable games in today's games. Newcastle might not be playing well in the EPL but we all know the influence English club has in European competitions. In recent times they have improved winning their two last games against big clubs Manchester United and Chelsea. Barcelona would have the home advantage but in the UCL, clubs could be beaten mercilessly before their home fans. After tonight's game, we will know the English teams that will join Arsenal in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile Newcastle's "star" Anthony Gordon with 4 full touches on the ball in 80 minutes of the match. Of course he was replaced but not before he was denied for a full game and could not do anything. Did anyone see him in that game?

I don't know what happened to Newcastle in the second half that they lost their bearing to the point of conceding four goals without replying back any. The second half was in a big favor for Barcelona as they were in full charge of the game and got four goals easily. This is a big win for Barcelona at home because they dismantled Newcastle.

Both ball possession and others are perfect, and you know the result of the match between Barcelona vs Newcastle United is 2-7 a very crazy score in the champions league and here I think Newcastle has been mentally exposed so many goals created by Barcelona, I thought before Newcastle might still be able to survive at least not embarrass themselves when visiting but what happened the goals seemed easy to get by Lewandowski and his friends who made this match like a very pleasant entertainment for them.
 
I don't quite expect Hansi Flick to prepare for this second leg match as well as the results they have gotten, it seems that only Arsenal really qualify for the next round in the champions league from the English league.

This is a very good result for Barcelona tonight, when the match started I thought it will be a tough one for both, but at the end the story changed. in the other hand Lewandoski did an excellent job in this match, infact all Barcelona players did very good in this match.

Just imagine 10 Short on target and already scored 7 goals in the 71 minutes of this match. Congratulations to Barcelona fans. I expected a win but not with many goals this way, anyways They were playing at home and even without Barcelona is in good performance, they played Newcastle as they wish, it was fun at the viewing center, 7 goals is much.

Barcelona performed very well, I never expected them to score Newcastle United this amount of goals, I knew Newcastle United will not win the match but I was not expecting Barcelona to win them with this number of goals, Newcastle United didn’t defend very well if they had good defense they would have prevented this number of goals.
Congratulations to Barcelona I see the determination in them and they want to lift the champions league title this season, but if they want to actually lift the champions league title they need to continue with this kind of performance.
