What is expected of Newcastle to shock everyone to win Barcelona, is what has turned into a disgrace for Newcastle. Just in this second half, has Barcelona added 4 goals to the 3 goals they scored in the first half. That means no hope for Newcastle for advancing to the next stage of the Champions League, as they are going to join Chelsea and Manchester City as the English league teams being kicked out.

I think Newcastle became weak after they conceded the third goal from a penalty. I didn’t see the same energy from them in the second half, if they play like they did in the first half, I’m sure they wouldn’t have conceded additional four goals in the second half. They have joined Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City, as the Premier League teams to get eliminated in the round of sixteen.

Or we can say that Barcelona approached the match with a more aggressive and tactical team this time, scoring such huge amounts of goals combined, this is one of the matches in the Champions League with the highest amount of goals scored, and Newcastle was overwhelmed tonight.

Newcastle performance was very poor in the second half, I don’t know why they relaxed too much in the second half. They pressured Barcelona in the first half of the game, as if they were the home team. To be honest, I didn’t expect this kind of result from the second leg considering that both teams failed to score more than one goal in the first leg. I thought Newcastle has one of the strongest defenders in the Premier League, and they conceded seven goals.

I think now, I can say that Sporting Lisbon has ended Bodo/Glimt’s legendary adventure this season. Bodo has played some legendary matches this season, especially at their home. After the 3-0 win in the first leg, many people thought Bodo had secured a spot in the next round, but Lisbon put a stop to that. Today, Sporting showed us that even a 3-0 win might not be enough one more time. We’ll have to wait and see maybe Chelsea or Manchester City can achieve the same epic return.

Bodo have been unpredictable this season in the champions league, getting to this stage in their first appearance in the champions league is quite an achievement even beating Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City before that who were the top teams in their respective domestic leagues, it was an incredible journey for Bodo / Glimt, and yes not a few people thought Bodo / Glimt had secured their position in the first leg, but finally Sporting can turn things around tonight very seriously, this is a very epic revenge match.

Sporting did it with 5-0 score and stopped Bodo’s palmy callithump in this league, showing that Bodo's earlier success was largely due to luck and mistakes made by their rivals rather than real own competence. Personally I’m happy with this outcome because Sporting promises to deliver very adrenaline filled match against Arsenal in the next round. ^{That said. I will bet on Arsenal ;}).

Barcelona took the champions league match very personal;D they played very well against Newcastle United, the second half was something else I didn’t expect Barcelona to score that numbers of goal in that match, coming to Barcelona home to play match is something that one should be done careful about, Newcastle United didn’t play as people who really wants to win, there defense was not good, I believe they were having too much pressure and that was the main reason they didn’t perform well in the second half, the defeat from Barcelona was very shameful and Newcastle United fans that went to watch the match most be disappointed at them. Well congratulations to Barcelona for winning with that numbers of goals, yesterday all the Barcelona fans were so happy.

Indeed they took it personal, I couldn't believe that they were able to score 7 goals. Newcastle did their best but sadly it wasn't really enough. Barcelona performed Beyond our expectations. I wouldn't say that it was a shameful loss for Newcastle because the difference was already clear that Barcelona had better chances of winning, when it comes to experience in the champions league you cannot compare both teams

I was not able to watch this match between Barcelona and Newcastle do to work stuffs. But when I checked scores online I was shocked with what I saw, because i can't imagine Barcelona winning Newcastle with that score, I expected to see below that something like 2:1, but what did saw 7:2.

I am not a Newcastle fan, but I was very disappointed yesterday when I saw the scores, i expected better from Newcastle. Newcastle losing the match is not a problem, but conceding 7 goals is something shameful. And from what I have read so far the Newcastle team never played that match with seriousness, they never planned of winning that yesterday match.

Almost all Premier league teams in champions league were a complete disappointment in this stage. Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham and now Newcastle. What Barcelona did to Newcastle yesterday was a total humiliation. I think the debate on Premier league being the toughest and the best league among other leagues should now be put aside because it's far from reality. PSG dominated Chelsea both first and second leg. Manchester city succumbed to Real Madrid pressure both home and away as well, likewise Tottenham even though they attempted to turn things around in the second leg but were not successful. Newcastle had a decent first leg with Barcelona and we assumed they stand a chance in the second leg but Barcelona did not only win, they embarrassed Newcastle totally.

I'd have loved to be happier today after the last results in the CL. However we messed up a lot against Liverpool and got off lightly as well. The final score could have been much worse!

Galatasaray won the first leg 1-0, but unfortunately, when visiting Liverpool, Galatasaray was unable to score a single goal. The Liverpool players looked very different from their usual self, full of confidence, and ultimately won with a fantastic 4-0 score. I actually thought Liverpool wouldn't score many goals, but they did, and this certainly made Liverpool fans happy.

That was the performance I expected from Liverpool in the second leg, Galatasaray win the first leg with an early goal from the start. I believed they won the match due to the home advantage, every team understands their home ground and defeated Liverpool. I lost my bet in the first leg, because I bet on Liverpool to win, since I had no idea that Galatasaray would be surprising them with a narrow win, but I bet over 2.5 goals in the second leg because I expected a lot of goals.

However, Liverpool advance to the next round after a victory against Galatasaray, they will face PSG in the round of 8. Last season, PSG eliminated Liverpool from the Champions League, are they going to get a revenge this season by beating PSG? I’m not confident about Liverpool winning the next game against PSG, their performance remain unstable, but in football anything can happen.

Despite struggles with poor form and first leg defeat, Liverpool showed top class against the Turkish Galatasaray, ‎winning by 4 goals is very convincing. it shows real determination from the team. It also tells us sport fans how much the champions league means to them.

in my opinion, these are the most likely semifinal matchups that could emerge from these rounds. if we see a matchup like this, i think bayern munich and barcelona will make it to the final.

the champions league format has changed, but only one surprise team can make it to the quarterfinals. that’s a definite possibility because even the sporting vs. bodo/glimt matchup was a surprise in itself. arsenal looks like the favorite to win the title, but i don’t think they’ll be able to win it.

Yeah well Laliga Dominated. With Madrid Barca and Atletico Madrid Thrashing Premier league Sides. Atletico VS Spurs was an interesting Game but Barca and Madrid's game was purely One-sided. Lamine Played Really Well and was involved in every goal, even in the goal that Newcastle scored 😅. Overall he played really Well. Man, this was a real football masterclass. Barcelona was struggling at first, but then they just switched on and scored 7 goals. They honestly look unstoppable right now. I kinda feel a bit sorry for Newcastle, but Barca clearly took this way too seriously. It's gonna be a really interesting tournament because the teams that went through have shown insane quality

Barcelona's target was to win by a big margin by playing attacking tactics. They played completely attacking tactics from the beginning of the match. Raphinha scored a goal in just 6 minutes from Lopez's pass. But Barcelona conceded two goals in the first half. Barcelona was leading 3-2 at the end of the first half.

Hansi flick was able to identify the weaknesses of Newcastle's defense very well. We got proof of this in the second half. Barcelona was able to score three goals within probably 15 minutes of the start of the second half. And Newcastle could not take any advantage in the second half. Lewandowski and raphinha scored two goals each. Lopez, yamal and bernal scored one goal each.

Actually I had expected that Barcelona would win in the 2nd leg and I also had a feeling that Barcelona would score a lot of goals in that match because I saw Barcelona's last match against Sevilla from there it was clear that Barcelona's performance was good that's why in today's match Barcelona was able to score a lot of goals against Newcastle. but Newcastle really tried hard to win but unfortunately Eddie Howe's technique was still less technical than Hansi Flick which finally Barcelona was able to win and in the 2nd half Newcastle was more careless and made Barcelona's attack even stronger because Flick had known Newcastle's weaknesses. Newcastle now has to be patient and must be willing to not be able to continue playing in the UCL this season. and I want to congratulate Barcelona who qualified for the top 8.

It's even becoming more laughable that premier league teams tend to be struggling too much in the hands of other leagues even though the premier league teams that are playing in the champions league are teams you would expect that even if they will loose, it's going to be with a very small margin. On a normal day, I expected Barcelona to beat Newcastle but allowing Barcelona score these number of goals in the second leg fixture is such a bad result. If not that Liverpool had a good comeback winning 4 goals, the disaster from the angle of premier league teams would have gotten far worse than what it already is at the moment. If they had won Barca, going against atletico would have still been a very tough one for them.

Manchester City will be in the Champions League next season, but we can't say for Chelsea, they are currently struggling with 8 matches remaining, I have the feeling they will be out of the tournament next season.

In my opinion, Chelsea can't get back into the game, they don't play well, they don't play consistently even though they have the qualities to do well.
It's like a child in school who's very intelligent and capable but doesn't apply himself. I hate to say it, but that's the problem: they don't apply themselves and don't put in the effort; they're lazy.

There will be surprise in matches between big clubs that are almost equal in quality and experience in Champions League. A little bit weaker team can make surprise and beat a stronger team but it is not like from Sporting in their matches with Arsenal. Sporting go to quarter finals but their weakness was shown in round of 16 and playing against Arsenal will not be easy for any club in this season, while with Sporting, it will be very hard for them. I don't believe Sporting will be able to make any big surprise against Arsenal in two quarter final matches.

It was expected as Barcelona are much stronger than Newcastle United that from head coach to players actually lack of experience in Champions League while playing at Nou Camp stadium is never easy for guest teams.

Newcastle United can be proud of their performances in this season as well as their first leg match with Barcelona, but their capability does not match the world class level of Barcelona. This defeat is explainable and acceptable for Newcastle United but it can be helpful for future seasons, not a next one as with a low rank in Premier League, they won't be able to finish this season in top four or top five.

Actually, Sporting CP pulled off a miracle in the Round of 16. they had lost the first leg 3-0. and typically, with a three-goal deficit, it’s difficult to turn things around in the second leg. But completely out of the blue, we saw Sporting CP not only turn things around but do so with an even bigger score 5-0 ultimately winning 5-3 on aggregate.
in this case, I think Sporting CP is definitely not a team to be underestimated. So Arsenal must be on guard and give it their all in the quarterfinals when facing this team. And clearly, I’d much rather back Arsenal in the upcoming quarterfinals. Because it feels like Arsenal is building some real momentum this season.

I am unsure that Maresca will be able to replace Pep well in Manchester City and whether the club wants to work with this coach who did not succeed with Chelsea.

Liverpool completely overwhelmed Galatasaray with their pace and pressing. The Turkish side could do absolutely nothing against this version of Liverpool. Galatasaray played great in the home leg, but yesterday their game just didn't click at all. It seems Galatasaray only know how to play at their own stadium. Away from home, they turn into a mediocre team.
I liked how Salah redeemed himself for his first-half performance and the missed penalty. After the break, he had a goal, an assist, and hit the woodwork. Plus, he was involved in Gravenberch’s goal as well.

I was also as surprised as you mate, because in the first half and in the first leg of this tie that ended 1-1, Newcastle United gave a very good account of themselves, but in the second half of the game yesterday, they came out relax or subdue if that's the right word I should be using.
So when Barcelona start puring in the goals, I was asking myself that what went wrong with this Newcastle United team at halftime that they can't match this Barcelona team as they have been doing all this while, but regardless of that, it was an interesting game that was really enjoyable, since I was watching as a neutral fan.
