AS Roma defeated Como, though by only one goal, but they still managed to secure the full three points and maintain their position in the top four of Serie A. Wesley Franca's only goal came in the 60th minute, creating a tense atmosphere in the Roma side, which had repeatedly attempted shots but failed, and ultimately suceeded.

Como played well, but their attacks couldn't penetrate Roma's strong defense. They only had one shot on target, which failed.

I can't say how exciting this match was, as I preferred watching my favorite team play in a league other than Serie A, specifically the English Premier League.
Despite the narrow defeat, Como is not a small team that can be easily defeated. A single goal for AS Roma is significant, as they still have hope of competing for the title. For Como, a single goal loss to Roma isn't too bad, as Cesc Fabregas has been performing at a level rarely seen by other teams since their promotion from Serie B. Como's track record in Serie A has been quite impressive.

I'm not originally from Bergamo, I chose Atalanta with good reason because of their way of playing and managing, which I really liked.

In the Serie A round just concluded, the expected hierarchy is starting to take shape more clearly: Juventus beat Bologna in a very good match, played with open faces by both teams; Roma beat Como, closing the gap by six points and confirming their fourth-place placement. Lastly Inter, who in my opinion will win this season, are currently at the top of the table.
So far, it's been a very balanced championship and very enjoyable to follow, even if the standings seem to have slipped a bit.
Next month, the first verdicts could begin to be given, considering that the African Cup of Nations will be held, and many players will be participating, and their respective clubs will not be able to have them available for the league.

Como have been doing well though but they were tamed by Inter Milan who gave them 4:0 beating, the effect of which lead to the fatigue that cost them the AS Roma match. despite beating Como, I don't see AS Roma making any headways in terms of winning the league.

I don't like their philosophy or the way they manage the team. They could even be the promising future everyone touts, like Como.
A team must play like one for me and meet certain intelligence requirements..

Como is slowly trying to improve, which can be seen when comparing their performance from last season with this season's. Their last few matches have not been going well, especially in the last two matches they have not been able to get any points. They have lost a total of 8 points in the last 5 matches. Against Roma they were very defensive, they could not create any good attacks with which they could hope to score goals. However, we should not forget that Roma have a good defensive line which is very difficult to break through. Both teams were defensive, but one goal created a gap.

I agree, normally Roma is a team that should be able to win and it is not a shocker to see them have a great game here too. Roma is higher up and Como is trying to go further up but because of the top teams being great there is no way that Como will rank higher, Roma is doing far better. The top four teams are fighting very hard against each other and they are very ruthless against all the teams below them, which is what this game was about, no matter how good Como normally is, the top four is different.

Arabs don't have many qualms about investing money; the important thing for them is the financial return, and Palermo has a great stadium and a great fan base.
I remember the early years of Serie A in 2006, when the stadium was always full! More than 40,000 fans cheering on the team! I myself have seen Palermo matches at the stadium, and it was fantastic.

Wound you say that the Italian seria A has gone bad that is why bottom placed teams are getting results against the big teams I don't think so. There is a fundamental problem with the big sides when it comes to the Seria A, the top sides has failed in investing into strengthening their squad football is like any other business you have to invest. Let take a look at teams like Juventus, inter Milan, AC Milan which dominated the Seria A some times ago these teams were busy making money and not bringing in young players that will develop to become key members of their team going forward but only banked on old players and when eventually these old players get to retire these teams struggles.


Teams like Napoli,como, Bologna etc which has been on the rise in recent times  has made a deliberate and conscious efforts in investing in players that is why they are getting results. About yesterday game between Roma vs Como I will say that Roma was lucky because it was just a little lack of concentration from Como that caused their defeat.

Como has nothing to worry about, why? Because nobody expects them to be great over night, they just got to Serie A recently, last year I think, and for that reason they have no reason to just be at the top this quickly, even a loss to Roma is normal for them.

As long as they keep being around where they are at the moment, that would be good and a improvement and they can keep spending money on the team further and further which will make things a lot better with time without a doubt. This is the most important part, being in the improvement stage for Como and they are improving and as long as they keep doing it, there won't be any issues at all and they should be able to actually make it work better every season.

Otherwise I don't think Como would have lost. They had many shots inside the box but most of them were blocked. They couldn't find a single chance in or around the six-yard box.

The defense still carries Roma but how long will it be like this?

Seeing from the statistics of both clubs during the match, they were indeed in a very tight match. However, AS Roma should have been able to beat Como, but in reality, they couldn't. Their attack and defense were quite evenly matched, although Roma had more shots on target.

But in this case, Como also defended very well. Como won the duel, with more clarity, and fewer errors. Their goalkeeper even made three big saves, ultimately resulting in one of Roma's winning goals. But yeah, loss is a loss, and win is a win.

Inter won this cup many times recently but the last champion is Milan. Chivu will play a big match against an experienced manager once again in case of eliminating Bologna. I really don't like Inter in such matches for a long time. But I hope this changes in this cup.

Winter break is upon us and personally I think Serie A is the best European championship right now with top 6 being super tight on points and literally everyone from top 5 can win Serie A this year. Hopefully , Lazio will be able to gather more points in the next coming games and find a way to be in top 6 because otherwise , it will be pretty tough for them to play in European competitions next year.

Also , I think it's time to actually believe that Fiorentina will relegate in Serie B right ? I've watched them playing on Sunday against Verona and I must say Fiorentina deserves to be on last place and if they don't wake up soon , they will go in Serie B for sure.

I think Inter will win it this year. They failed to win everything last season even though they were very close, lost to Milan here, and lost the title to Napoli and lost UCL finals, basically they got close to all of it and then lost.

I think they will want a trophy already, and for that reason they will fight tooth and nail to get this win. Plus they have the easiest of games, they are playing against Bologna and they should be able to get a win out of that without breaking a sweat. Obviously underestimating your opponent could result with bad results, but because they want a trophy so much, I do not think they will underestimate and get a good win, could be even a high margin of victory just in case for them.

Although Como is a strong team and difficult to conquer but that doesn't mean it can't be, seeing this match both fought hard and we saw that Roma was also very difficult to score goals in this match, only in the 60th minute he could enter 1 goal that could bring them to victory, the single goal in this match conveyed that this match was very difficult for both to create goals.
Looking at the standings it's very competitive and from 4th to 1st place there's not much difference, everyone is chasing each other, I like that.
