Honestly I was not expecting such an amazing wins from the Super Falcons that yesterday it was really a delight for me as well, now they have really responded like champions as well, the opening shock was what we did not see coming and it was a big shock for Malawi…and was still trying to believe that the loss was a wake-up call for Malawi, and since then it has been them locking in now…Now I fully understand what it means never to underestimate anyone in this life because you never can tell when the big wins comes your way most times..from their ends and would add that Malawi had the mindset of a champion from the very beginning…still on bigger respect to both teams, both teams tried their possible best but nevertheless there is always a winner….

Nigeria should learn to stop leaving things to chances so that they can be more feared by opponents.

Although it was because of this decision that made Agbe prediction to failed if not he was actually right with his prediction because yesterday we all believed that Malawi and Egypt was the two countries that left the WAFCON because they were below but unfortunately for Zambia their happiness of being qualified turned against them, so actually since Malawi has replaced them that means that Nigerian super falcon are the ones who won the first position in the group. However Egypt was the worst from all the countries that exited on the group stage because they conceded more than everybody, 15 conceded goals and just scored 3 goals without wining any rival. @SatoPrincess it will be very nice of you stop quoting in the forum. The super falcons are actually doing well now. I think I will find time to watch some of their games. It used to be something I wasn't interested in before but with the stats and highlights I'm seeing online, if might be a nice watch to spend my time off. Normally in football we don't have to look down on any team or player. Opportunity changes, they were good today doesn't mean they will win or put a hard trick tomorrow. They were poor in performance today doesn't mean they cannot improve. One thing I think motivates players to do better is when the public beliefs in them. It helps them sharpen their skills and wants to do even more for the public..

Women football have less publicity everywhere, not only in Egypt. Some countries don't even have women national team to represent them in official competition. If you check the number of attendance when women are playing, you would know people don't really pay attention to them. Government don't prioritise them either when it comes to funding. Egypt women performance was not impressive but I still commend them for making appearance in the competition because I believe they passed through qualification stage before coming here. Our super falcons have changed the narrative in their last match and restore our hopes. I hope they continue to make us proud

Seeing how bad Egypt is doing at the table standing of this WAFCON I can conclude they are not in a good position right now. They have failed woefully in all their 3 games for the matches played. The two goals they scored over the Super Falcons, I see it as a rare opportunity for them because on a normal, they wouldn’t have been able to score those two goals given how poor they hav been performing and this also demonstrates how much the strength of the falcon squads have reduced especially at the defense because if it was the stronger version of the falcons, they would have not given any chance for goals to be scored by their opponents

Super falcons needed more goals incase they had to check by goal difference at the end to secure qualification so there's no way they would focus more at the defence since they also understood that Egypt was a weaker side. The game had a lot of uncertainties especially because they were playing the same time with Malawi and Zambia so all they could do was focus on scoring more goals which I see as the reason for conceding those two goals. Defence wise, we saw them defending for over 60 minutes against a strong Zambia side even with one player down. Every game is planned based on the need of the team at the moment. You won't expect a team looking for more goals to fall back to the defence and had Zambia completed the third goal against Malawi there would have been more calculation to do for their qualification. The WAFCON is still as expected and tonight Morocco will be sending the Bayana Bayana home. Nigeria will be facing Cameroon tomorrow and will play the best of football tomorrow. I trust Justin Madugu in his every game target, doing what would take him to the next round.

Algeria women beat Ivory Coast women by 2:1 to advance to the semi final of the WAFCON. In a match that Ivory Coast women first scored and won at halftime but sadly a red card in the 42nd minute weakend their morale in the second half and the Algeria women took advantage of it to get a comeback. Even though the Algerian women dominated the rest of the match but the Ivorian women fought so hard till the end so I must applaud them for their fighting mentality despite being eliminated. The match between Morroco women versus South Africa women is underway, i trust the Morroco women to win South African women. Tomorrow will be Cameroon women versus the Super Falcons, i wish the Super Falcons another winning match.

Algeria has won their match against Ivory Coast 2-1. Algeria defense was good and Ivory Coast attacked severely. And right now, South Africa has the highest ball possession in the match and they are oppressing Morocco. According to a special media comments, there was question there, as a Nigerian, whom are you supporting? And some said they will support the stadium and the field. Lolz. As for me anyone wins, it is for their luck. And I don't know how the match will end because all the teams are playing well.

Congratulations to Algeria, but however with the overview of the match, which country did you think was supposed to win the match from the first half?. I will say Ivory coast was meant for this victory today because when they were completed they overpowered the Algeria women with a huge difference on the first half but it was from the time Konan red card was giving that was when Ivory coast lost their balance on the game and their second half got very worst for them, so actually that was how Algeria women got to win the game. However Morocco women was wining with 2:0 earlier but South Africa has scored so actually with another goal for South Africa the game will get very intense on the both.

Ivory Coast women were supposed to win Algeria but they let that opportunity slip away from them by getting red carded. South African women played very well but their defense was porous which led them to concede 2 goals straight but before they could score and try to get an equaliser, the time was already not on their side anymore and they ended up being kicked out by Morocco. Well, there was no way Morocco would have lost because they are stronger team to South Africa, they play almost like their men. If Morocco will meet Algeria in the semi final that means that they might be heading into the final because they can defeat Algeria. Maybe we might see a return of last year's final match between Nigeria and Morocco again.

Victory to Morocco, the match has ended with a 2-1 win for Morocco, I already knew they were going to pass this stage of the competition. Nigeria against Cameroon, I pray we don't have a bad game, after an energizing performance against Egypt, the Super Falcons should be able to pocket tomorrow's victory. I want the Falcons to make it to the final, play Morocco, who will also reach the final, and win their eleventh WAFCON title again, I strongly believe in the team, It is nothing new to them or less of their ability.

I do not mean to intentionally derail the conversation, however I need to ask, did anyone follow up with the online hullabaloo about the new CAF ranking system that kicked the Zambia out of the tournament? I wonder if the teams were well aware of this before the start of the tournament. May online commentators and some supporters of the Zambia have accused CAF of an unfair system.

Less funding, less coverage, fewer fans. So when teams like Egypt show up, it is already a win for them. Nigeria looked shaky at first, but that 6 goal game changed the mood. The challenge now is to keep that going and not relax. The hype around that win is good, but they need to show it again in the next match. One big win doesn't make a tournament but consistency does. Also they need to fix that habit of switching off after scoring. Against better teams, that will cost them. The tournament is only going to get tougher from here.

Guy, I think that’s the spirit we have been waiting for, for a very long time… well it would not be a bad idea to watch the game with a chilled bottle of beer😁 You are very right about the unpredictable nature of football the game is unpredictable and no team stays down forever and also no team stays up forever either, it's a trade-off for each team…honestly was so sad that Malawi beat us well not bad at all, all we really need is to get back on the ground…till date I would still say that the FALCON got that shock of winning to early and it did wake them up from their sleep and now they play like hell to get back the lost points and I feel opportunity come but once it would be hard for them to regain that first lost… Now I am beginning to get annoyed because the Super Falcons have 9 WAFCON titles for a reason and this is still not enough for some men they still give such hurtful words to them, which I feel if it the men's World Cup such would not even happen. Honestly, for me, I feel they have carried Nigerian football for years with less hype than the men’s team, and that such a bad mentality in such a country, well but still people are actually watching the stats and highlights like you so i guess that energy is coming back to them in no time if they are playing well…

For me, Morocco was the obvious choice not because they were the better team but because South Africa have shown the world how hateful they are towards other Africans.
Congratulations to our victors from yesterday’s fixtures, Algeria and Morocco. Although Algeria’s win was not free of controversy, I’m happy the girls advanced to the next stage of the tournament.
