Alright, so for those of you who have been using gpumax the past couple of days, have you been getting paid?
I'm ready to start using it again if everyone's getting paid nightly.
I have, but I've had almost no public work, despite my lowest-priced workers being waaaaaaay below the strike price. I wouldn't plan on getting many public shares. No one is going to give Pirate a cent. Pirate is likely using GPUMAX to launder his own stolen coins. |

Pirate is likely using GPUMAX to launder his own stolen coins.
Pirate owe's ~500k coins. With a large chunk of power at his disposal, say maybe 1.5 TH/s, how many blocks / day could he launder? Yeah, maybe 4. That is 200 coins a day. 500,000 / 200 = 2,500 days. Think again. |

What if Pirate at 40 did lose some money for the trustees on BTCST. Pirate likely also lost his own funds along with everyone else. Lets say he is an honorable guy. So far I haven't seen anything to prove otherwise. He is short on funds to pay people back. BUT he has this other venture where he gets ~10% of the coins put through it. Now I can't prove it anymore then anyone can prove the other side of it. But he makes money off of GPUMax. He could be trying to use this service to make back the money that was lost by the trust. Now is it possible that pirate is doing that? Sadly if pirate was trying to use this money maker to pay people back and people that like to tarnish ohers reputations force this one out of business it is quite likely that the trolls would actually sucessfully prove themselves correct. Of course I prefer to see the brighter side of things.
I would rather not have someone tell me I can't afford to pay them back money I borrowed then drive me out of my business and my way of making said money to pay them back.

Think again. 1.5 TH/s is over 618 coins a day. Still a very long time, but he wouldn't need to launder all his coins immediately, perhaps only a small portion he wants to cash out to USD. Let's use the 1.5 Th/s figure mentioned above. 10% of this would be 61.8 coins/day. It would take an extremely long time to pay what he owes using GPUMAX. Maybe you are right though, given his current rate of repayment...  |

You get my points. GPUMax, let alone the ENTIRE bitcoin network doesn't produce enough clean coins a day to make this anywhere near feasible.
500,000 / 7,200 = 69.44 Days
I don't know about you, but I haven't been getting nearly that much public work.

When honorable people run short of money to pay their investment obligations, they don't keep making 100% payments with exorbitant interest to whoever is lucky enough to ask first and then one day 100% stop making any payments at all without making any disclosure of what assets and obligations remain. |

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Therefore, GPUMAX has a bad reputation. Im sure there are other trustworthy people involved with GPUMAX, but they partnered up with someone who's not. Now they've got to lie in the bed they've made.
If pirateat40 can't be trusted, there is really no sane way to say that GPUMAX can be trusted. At least until we know for sure that pirateat40 is no longer involved with GPUMAX, which will likely never happen...

Im not quite sure I see the big difference. Would you say pirate was not involved with all the PPTs and BTCST subaccounts? Or is your point that you fully distinguish the people from their business? FWIW, I still have some faith in gpumax. Until shown otherwise, I have no reason to assume zux0r had anything to do with the ponzi, and I strongly suspect he is the only reason gpumax miners where finally paid out, and probably even the only reason gpumax hasnt been leasing/laundring 24/7 with no pay after the closure of BTCST. If pirate was still running the show, thats more what I would have expected to happen. |

But pirateat40 has now added his taint to the GPUMAX system. Even if it's functioned flawlessly up to this point, there are still question marks in many people minds because he is involved. |
