Currently, Spain is playing like Brazil used to, very beautiful and effective football and they are currently unstoppable.
Considering that the next World Cup is being played on their home soil, I simply don't see anyone in Spain who can stop them in their quest for a new world title.

It's true, Spain now plays very similarly to that Brazil of many years ago. Perhaps because so many players have gone to Europe, they already know their style and create their own mix to be effective. That happens a lot, so in Brazil and Argentina there has to be that they shouldn't lose their style. Brazil's style used to be much more prominent than other styles of play, since Brazil has already won quite a few world championships, but now the new generations don't care much about football anymore.

I hope the controversial moments of this year World Cup will not be repeated at the next World Cup in 2030, although these controversial moments make the 2026 World Cup quite interesting, as soccer has become a topic of discussion among girls who don't understand football due to its controversial drama. In 2030, there will be a new event for this tournament, where the World Cup will be hosted on three continents. In my opinion, FIFA is pushing too hard by including Europe and Africa in this tournament. If the theme for the 100th anniversary of the World Cup is to be chosen by FIFA, it would be better for FIFA to choose Uruguay in Latin America without involving Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. FIFA should focus on just one country because the sportsmen will gather in one place without having to be split into several countries on three different continents. This will create a new problem for the 2034 World Cup host when FIFA will appoint the Asian continent as the host, with the rich Arab country becoming the favorite host of the World Cup.
From the look of things the 2030 World Cup will be far better than this just concluded one, FIFA must have learnt a thing or two from this just concluded World Cup and won’t want same to repeat itself so as to regain their credibility amongst fans. Secondly in the last World Cup peoples focus was on Argentina because of Messi, some just wanted to watch Messi play because of his skills while some felt that he was a spoilt kid that FIFA was pampering and favoring but this next World Cup won’t be so because Messi won’t be playing, hence, fans will watch on neutral basis and won’t feel that there is any controversy.

We need to stop favouritism and stop allowing some nations to host the world cup simply because they are desperate, because the moment FIFA starts allowing nations to host the world cup and they don't have what it takes to host it, it will affect the vibe and the beautiful moments of the tournament but they need to start getting nations that even if they are desperate, they will be willing to follow the FIFA guidelines and will allow the other nations to have a very good and well organised tournament even if they don't win it, but right now, we don't even know if the wins or hosting is rigged or not. But regardless, this competition must be well organised and be fun filled for every participating nation and even viewers worldwide, but some little rules or restrictions from the host nations without explanation can obstruct all of these experiences.
FIFA doesn't just appoint nations to host the world cup just like that, they don't just allow countries because they are desperate instead there is a procedure for appointing a team and every interested team needs to submit a bid and meet all the requirements before being allowed to host a world cup. The FIFA bodies delegate on the countries and decide on which meets all the requirements and are worthy of being a host.
Any host is supposed to conduct a free and fair tournament free from rigging but sometimes the referees are human and are bound to make mistakes too which the host can't control how matches are officiated.

The 2030 World Cup will have a better stream. The teams that will participate then will know Spain has the best squad and will do better. France win the World Cup we all thought they will win again and then Argentina won we both want them to win this last one but Spain won. Next World Cup a different team, will win the World Cup not Spain. England, France, will contend for the trophy. England having won in years, I think they will win the next.

Argentina has always been a great breeding ground for talent in the history of football, perhaps the only country that can be considered on a par with Brazil. There are certain regions of Argentina that are particularly well suited to producing champions. Apart from the Buenos Aires area, which is the most populous in the country, there is the Rosario region, which has consistently produced incredible players: most recently, Di María and Leo Messi spring to mind, but there were also Kily González and Kempes in their day. Now there are also Icardi, Lo Celso, Banega and Molina; clubs such as Rosario Central and Newell’s Old Boys have contributed so much to the Argentine national team.

This is the reason why i see those who say that Argentina will be nothing without Lionel Messi as people who are blind or they probably didn't read about the history of Argentina to know that they have always been reproducing great talents. The end of one era can open way for another, this is why i believe that Argentina will not end with Lionel Messi. Just look at the players that you listed out which are all great talents from Argentina. I just flashed back how Di Maria was also very contributive during his prime. Even at the 2022 World Cup, Di Maria tried a lot for Argentina and they won.

Saying they will be nothing without Messi is stupid, I agree. Argentina is more than just Messi. But there is a big "but" involved and that is what I agree with.

Their whole match plan was often revolving around Messi making that one move and we probably agree that there was hardly any player in the history of football who decided matches as effectively as Messi with just one move. Argentina will have to change, to adapt to the new conditions. There is no more Messi. If they get this done, Argentina will still be one of the strongest football nations in the world.

My father used say that people said the same thing when Maradona stoped playing... that Argentina would never be the same again, and look what happened in recent years....
The same thing with Brazil after Pelé, and look what happened some years later (even though Brazil declined a lot in the last decade, we won some World Cups after Pelé).

Not team dies when a good player retires, South America will continue producing and revealing many talented players to the world.

Will there be other very good players? Of course. Will be as good as the players of the past? I'm not so sure. Football is becoming more and more about the physical and athletic aspects instead of technical. Today we have incredible athletes, there is no comparison to 20-30 years ago, but we lost a lot of unpredictability because players barely dribble anymore, they are taught to play like robots. We basically lost the best role football ever had when we talk about fantasy: the trequartista, the player who plays between the midfielders and the strikers. That position was pure magic, it was the number 10, it was the player that everybody was relying on. Of course I understand football changes, develops, evolves, but not every new change has necessarily to be a good change.
Right now my only hope for another change is Lamine Yamal because he is quite brazen, probably also due to the very young age, but he also plays to have fun, you never know what could happen when he has the ball. Just like we didn't know when it was Totti, Zidane or Ronaldinho.

Your father was (it’s awful to say ‘was’ – speaking of someone in the past tense makes it seem as though they’re no longer with us, and I hope, on the contrary, that he’s still by your side) right. Players come and go, and it’s true that when we grow attached to champions, a certain melancholy sets in when they leave, but what follows has always been a pleasant surprise.
Take Brazil, for example: when Pelé retired, everyone feared the worst for the future, but what followed was an incredible golden age, churning out memorable players. Obviously not on a par with Pelé, but just as talented. Off the top of my head, there were Romário, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Leonardo, Zico, Sócrates, Falcão, Bebeto, Kaká, Careca and most likely many others I can’t recall right now.

South America has always been a place where the world’s best players have come from, whether they’re Brazilian or Argentine, and this will most likely continue for a long time to come.

I can completely agree with this.
Even before Maradona and Messi, Argentina had a great player, Mario Kempes, who led them to their first World Cup in 1978.
Everyone talks about Portugal and Ronaldo today, but Portuguese football had another great football star and player, Eusebio.
Everyone thought that after Platini, the French national team would no longer have such a player, and then Zidane came along, who brought them their first 2 World Cup finals and 1 title, and now they have Mbappe.
Players are fleeting, they last 15-20 years, but football is eternal and new football stars are always coming and that's the beauty of football.
I think the next World Cup, 2030, will be marked by football stars like Yamal, Mbappe and Haaland, and probably some new football stars will also appear.

If you say that Brazil is currently very weak and has even lost its identity, that's true. But if you say Neymar is not talented and failed to lead Brazil, I think that's not quite right. After Brazil golden era, Neymar is the only very talented Brazilian player, but he has experienced something like a curse in Brazil because he always gets injured in major tournaments with Brazil.

Neymar often gets injured while playing for Brazil in the World Cup, even getting injured in four World Cups. In the 2014 World Cup he got injured, in 2018 the same thing happened, in 2022 again he got injured, and in the 2026 World Cup he also got injured. Not only in the World Cup, he was also absent in two Copa América tournaments in 2029 and 2024 due to injury. It's because he keeps getting injured that he hasn't been able to do much with Brazil, let alone lead them to win titles.

Neymar is a player who could have truly continued to shine in his career, but it was very unfortunate that it was interrupted when he suffered his first serious knee injury, which prevented him from ever being himself again. As for the Brazilian national team, they know they have a lot of quality, but they don't play simple football like traditional Brazilian football, because they had to evolve into a more European style of play, which, however, doesn't yield results.
To be honest, Neymar's biggest enemy was injury. I personally think that Neymar has suffered from injuries most of his career, which other players don't have to suffer so much. He is definitely a star for Brazil, but injuries have set him back even more. However, I think that if you say that it only started with his serious knee injury, you seem to be leaving out a lot of previous things.

When he was playing the World Cup match against Colombia in 2014, he suffered a vertebra fracture and could not play the semifinal. Again, if you calculate the situation in 2018, it was different. Instead of getting a big injury during the World Cup, he came to the tournament without full fitness after recovering from a foot injury he got at PSG. In 2026, he hurt the feelings of the fans and could not play the first two matches of the World Cup.  Because he suffered a grade-two muscle injury before the World Cup. So I wouldn't look at Neymar's Brazil career as just him not being able to lead the team. Of course, the injury ruined Neymar's continuity, but Brazil's problem wasn't just one player.

There were several controversial decisions in this World Cup as well, but I did not see any controversial decisions in the final match. Maybe the opponent was Spain, which is why Argentina performed the worst against Spain.

I do not really take the issue of Messi's retirement seriously because even after playing the 2022 World Cup, he said that he would retire but he did not retire, it may be that he is making such a decision only to confuse the fans and it may be seen that he is playing the World Cup again in 2030. However, football has lost a lot of popularity in the last two World Cups only because of some controversial decisions and because of giving an advantage to one team. If fair play is played, then the popularity of this football will never decrease, but rather its popularity will increase.

I would like FIFA to not give an advantage to any team in the World Cups from 2030 onwards, but rather the decision that is fair will come from FIFA and the teams will play the finals based on their qualifications and win the trophy.

You are right. And I really welcome the decision that FIFA has taken to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The extra travel is a bit complicated, but I think they will give them enough rest before the next match so that this travel does not have any impact on the match. This will be known when the 2030 match schedule is fully announced.

But I think it is quite good that FIFA is being organized in Europe and Africa. Because there were a lot of football fans and people who like football in Europe and Africa. And this time FIFA is organizing it in the USA, where the USA was not that popular as a country. Considering that aspect, the 2030 World Cup will be quite exciting. And express it just the World Cup on the occasion of its 100th anniversary is not enough to describe it. It is going to be the greatest show on earth of all time. And the country that wins this World Cup will be remarkable in the history of football.

I understand the 2030 World Cup will be played in countries including Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, with some matches likely in South America, but they're still evaluating that. Bringing football back to where it's most watched is certainly great news for the most important fans, so it's nice to know they'll be able to watch matches without having to rely on time zones.

The current Brazilian as well as the Argentinian team aren't underplaying and though for the current Brazilian team, they are not playing like the then days players played but they still have a lot of serious and quality players in their team. the likes of Ederson and Berker played in the premier league and we can not afford to look at them as a average team. marquinhos, vinicious, Raphina and even gabriel martineli arent unserious players. the brazil team still had a lot of good players but it is just an unfortunate thing that regardless of the squad dept that they have, it doesn't show that much in the world cup.

As for Spain, this is there era and in the coming euros and the world cup, they will still stand as the potential worthy of both tournament.

Well in all honesty the Euro Cup 2020 (which was postponed to 2021 because of covid lockdowns) took place in 11 (eleven!) countries.

Although they were not separated by an ocean like these, eleven is a huge amount. Plus one of them (Azerbaijan) was basically in middle east so the distances were still enormous for some teams and fans.

I'm not supporting that but I wouldn't say it was a disaster, as long as there are no visa problems.

It becomes a disaster for the fans' wallets.
Then there are fans so passionate they'll go to great lengths to see their team. But I also believe that managing tournaments across such large venues becomes a challenge, even in terms of organization, to get things done properly.

Yes, football isn’t dependent on a few players, it is eternal and continues to evolve, as the examples you gave it testifies that there is always a better player to replace, but i think it will be really hard to replace someone like messi but in the end he will eventually be replaced so we shouldnt be stuck to only one player and make him as the basis of our love for football, rather our love should be unconditional and for the sake of the game not a player

They are basically the Big 3 countries who have made such list in my own opinion. Brazil will come first, but after Brazil the second country ever is Argentina, they are another national team which has produce world class players over the years, then the top third one will go straight to no national team other than France. Sometimes you also cannot do without completely leaving out Spain who have also produced some of the finest players we have today in history including Coach Xavi who has done tremendously well in his career as a player and manager too. Spain has also been able to produce the likes of Iniesta and Pedro too who can also be referred to as a world class player. France has produced the likes of legendary Zidane, Kylian Mbappe, Thierry Henry and others, same applies to Brazil who are like the best in terms of the players.

Perhaps for this historical period in general i would say yes, that France is certainly a team that provides an almost excessive number of talents and that in fact has a squad on and off the pitch that could play the same starter, they are so well equipped that you are spoiled for choice on who to use.

I think influence affect all these selection especially security. In the history of world cup, only 1 time an African country has host the world cup as one big giant continent and now Morocco becomes the second that will make that comes true. If you look at what people are going to need from the events and the players, Morocco has many of those resources, this is why I think Fifa is very selective when it comes to a country that is going to host the world cup.

There are some countries that has everything, like plan, nice hotels but some of them are not equipped with good football fields where can accommodate the number of people and the players and if you look at some countries, they have sport places but don't have good securities. I think to host World cup, you have to be close to been perfect with zero political interest especially during these wars.

Im just reading the name of this thread and im already getting angry, what a disaster is becoming football and FIFA more.

How we can take it serious, a world cup ""organized"" by 6 countrys is a complete joke.

And now im reading the news about the 3 teams coming from south america are gonna have a free ticket to this world cup when they are not gonna put any stadium for it, plus why Paraguay is also getting it? Argentina and Uruguay as far as i know is because of the century conmemoration but Paraguay for what?

Worst of all is they are gonna keep playing the qualy but for nothing since they are already qualified, what a complete joke.

I think the Champins League organizers are only interested in revenue and profits, because if we evaluate how FIFA is managing these sorts of tournaments, we can already see with the last World Cup how little organization there was and how much money was made.

If that is your definition of "Europeanized," then you are correct, though it's not accurate in the wider context of their failures. This is not just starting; it has been like that decades ago, even when Brazilian teams were still at their peak.

Talking about the European football, aren't they the best?

Currently, ye, and it is also clear to a certain extent that European teams are the toughest and best, but that is because that is where most of the players play in their respective leagues, getting used to a level of competition that is much higher than in other leagues around the world.
