I came home to nearly 1 million PND staked.  There were only 15k when I left around 10 hours ago.  Looking at transactions, it seems a whole bunch of staked coins from 4 days ago suddenly verified at once!  But I am looking at transaction history and I don't understand it.  All of the "mined" coins are being deposited into the same address I was using on bamboohouse during POW phase.  All of the coins from the multi pool are coming on a different address.  Does anyone know why the minted coins are coming in under to an address?  The other strange thing is that my staked coins far exceeds the total mined in transaction history (including verified and unaccepted ones).  How can I have 1 million staked coins when I have only "mined" a total of about 15k?  I'm really confused right now.   Huh Huh  Could it be counting deposits from the pool as minted coins since it's using the same address?Huh?  Even if that were the case, it is only counting a few of them because the total deposits from that pool are much more than 1 million.

I mean, I'm not really complaining  Grin I just don't understand why.

It appears you are confused with what Spendable, Staked and Unconfirmed means. It appears you have staked around 15k, and not almost a million. This is an excerpt from our PoS FAQ -

What’s the difference between ‘Spendable’, ‘Stake’ and ‘Unconfirmed’?

Just like PoW block rewards cannot be immediately spent (for blockchain security reasons, they require a certain
number of blocks generated after them, or confirmations, before they become mature and their status goes from
unconfirmed to spendable), the coins in the transaction that was used to create a new PoS block are said to be
at stake: you promise the network not to spend these coins in exchange for the PoS reward. Since Pandacoin
(PND) doesn’t allow the creation of new PoW blocks, the unconfirmed line will remain at zero forever.

On the other hand, coins will remain at stake for 520 blocks after they are used to create a PoS block; this means
they won’t be spendable for about 8 hours.

If you are uncomfortable about being unable to spend all the coins in your wallet, it is possible to set the reserve
option in the wallet to ensure that the spendable amount always stays above the threshold you configured.

To find out more about PoS and how Pandacoin (PND) staking works, please have a look at our PoS FAQ - http://thepandacoin.org/doc/pos_faq.pdf

Why not try and open a ticket? They usually are very fast to respond (except maybe Sundays).

I opened one, here are the contents of it so people with the same problem can copy paste it to swisscex if they wish.

Hello Swisscex, today I tried to withdraw PND.
Yet I did not receive the e-mail to confirm my withdrawal.

I hope this ticket will attend you to the fact that some people are having trouble receiving the withdrawal email.

Kind regards,
slaithe

got my verification email and confirmed, but some minutes have passed and haven't received PND to wallet.
looks like purely a Swisscex issue, overall.  usually Swissex is much faster with everything.  must be some maintenance or other issue.

Try with a supportticket. The PND network is fine so that definately isn't the issue.

The Daily Panda

Pandacoin (PND) Proof of Stake FAQ released!

A highly requested document from the community, the Pandacoin (PND) development team have compiled a FAQ addressing many of the commonly asked questions in regards to PoS.

Check it out if you would like to know more about how PoS and staking works:

http://thepandacoin.org/doc/pos_faq.pdf

Can I still mine Pandacoin (PND) directly with my mining rig?

With Pandacoin (PND) as a pure PoS coin, you would not be able to mine it directly. Instead, you will mine other alternative crypto-currencies and exchange them for Pandacoin (PND) through our ever growing mhs multipool. This way, you will be able to still mine Pandacoin (PND) from the multipool, and help increase the value of Pandacoin (PND) at the same time.

How does the Pandacoin (PND) multipool work?

The Pandacoin (PND) multipool automatically switches between coins to mine based on difficulty and price variations in order to be as profitable as possible for the miners. For payout, the multipool computes the proportional share of each miner over rounds that last four hours. Once a round is complete, and after the mined blocks become mature, the multipool exchanges all coins for Pandacoin (PND). Please note that due to the time required for block maturation, deposits and withdrawals on exchanges, payouts for a round are processed one hour after the end of the next one. The multipool also apply a fee of 1.25%, in addition to the exchange and transactions fees required by the operation

Wallet version 2.0.2 is now available. Mandatory wallet update!

Wallet version 2.0.2 is a mandatory update which corrects the issues that you have experienced during the PoS switch-over. It is now available on https://github.com/pandacoin-official/pandacoin, http://thepandacoin.org and as binary.

A few things to consider before updating:

1. You NEED to back up your wallet.dat. The software will automatically do a copy but it's better to be sure.
2. The wallet will take around 10 minutes reindexing so please be patient.
3. The wallet might crash and give an error after importing (Windows 7 has been tested successfully). This is okay - just start the wallet again and you should be good to go.

The wallet is available to download under the following links:
win32 standalone|win32 setup|mac|linux|src

Pandacoin (PND) has successfully transitioned to 100% PoS from 100% PoW!

Pandacoin (PND) had begun their PoW phase since Feb 16, 2014 and has been mined for 95 days. Pandacoin (PND) is now one of the rare PoS coins with such a long PoW phase, a duration of more than 3 months, to distribute the coins fairly out towards the community.

Current PoS Difficulty: PoS Difficulty: 944.10459907

What is PoS Difficulty and why does it matter? - PoS difficulty is an indicator of how many wallets are open with many unspent transactions sitting in them. Generally, the higher the PoS difficulty, the better as it represents the amount of wallets that are open, and how secure our network is!

To find out more about PoS and how staking works, please check out our FAQ here - http://thepandacoin.org/doc/pos_faq.pdf

Join us!

We have implemented a Pandacoin (PND) IRC Lotto Faucet system, where you can type the following commands on our irc channel every 24 hours for a chance to win up to 10 million Pandacoins (PND): !lotto !panda or !gimme

I just got my verification e-mail, it did take a while. And I got a reply from Swisscex aswell, whoever said that these cats were quick was right. Here it is;

We are currently dealing with some issues of a few wallets. Our developers are working hard to get this problem fixed as fast as possible. We expect this problem to be solved within the next hours.
Withdrawals of the affected currencies are not possible until the wallet problem is fixed. Sending coins to the address might work but will not be shown in your account.
Please apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your trust and support.
Best regards,
Tobias
