There won't be any cost impact at all.
Good to hear that.
btw are you using other third party exchanges for aggregated pool?

You've misread the whole statement. There is no part in the whole paragraph where we guarantee someone won't be able to confiscate your coins. We only guarantee a good risk-score in *our* aggregated pool.
I know you can't guarantee what happens on some other website aka exchange  Wink
Let me clarify what I wanted to say with one real life example I heard from our local board recently.
Guy was doing some trading and he was using centralized exchange for this purpose, he accepted coin from other guy on his exchange account and everything was fine in 2021, other guy received fiat money in this trade.
Centralized exchange was used in this case to avoid getting coins that are connected with some hacks, scams, etc, and nothing was wrong in 2021.
One year later in 2022 he gets a letter from authorities that those coins are coming from scam, and in 2023 (two years later) police confiscate totally different coins from this guy.
They make the rules so they can do whatever they want  Tongue

Had the same thing happen to me. It's vile.

I was pretty surprised that eXch exchange provide communication with the clients in Ukrainian language. For me as Ukrainian it is a big advantage, since the mother tongue is always preferable especially while discussing some specifics like a crypto exchange services. Moreover, Ukrainian language is not so widespread, that is why I can conclude that the team make an accent on the Ukrainian audience as well.

Maybe better to OP to display another language Ann translated link to the main page, so if a local member (who doesn't really understand English), which have a problem or ask some question, they can ask it on the local language Ann thread. This is just my suggestion because I found some members display the link to ann local thread on his post here.

1. Bahasa Indonesia
2. Português (Portuguese)
3. Deutsch (German)

maybe in the future, we will meet more another translation link here with various languages, because some signature participants come from different mother languages.

Feel free to ask more information via private communication channels where we can provide more details.
Thanks, I might do that.

Just curios, what tools exactly you are using to rate if coins coming from eXch have good or bad score?
I really don't trust AML bots and similar tools, and I suspect they could use any address that users type for check could potentially be flagged as suspicious in future.
If not flagged, address check records will certainly be saved somewhere with an IP address.

Thanks, I might do that.

Just curios, what tools exactly you are using to rate if coins coming from eXch have good or bad score?

Will be glad to chat about it off-the-record.

I really don't trust AML bots and similar tools, and I suspect they could use any address that users type for check could potentially be flagged as suspicious in future.
If not flagged, address check records will certainly be saved somewhere with an IP address.

I have noticed that very often people in this community confuse the trading mark "AMLBot" with the term that defines AML/risk score screening platforms in general. I think it needs to be clarified, since today I have read at least 3 posts discussing AML screening mechanisms and people define them as "AML bots", most likely due to a confusion caused by the AMLBot trademark.

1. What are AML/risk screening platforms?

First of all, AML and risk screening platforms are not bots by their nature. They are databases that contain data gathered from continuous blockchain analysis performed by human-made categorization/reporting enhanced with AI/ML in order to automate funds flow tracking. An AML/risk score address check is a query to a such database via some application layer interface provided by the database operator.

2. What is "AMLBot"?

"AMLBot" is an extremely unreliable risk screening platform operated by a russian team under a company name "SAFELEMENT LIMITED" registered in Hong Kong. Their initial investors and founders come from a high-profile cybercrime background with roots in post-Soviet states who wanted to launder their crypto, therefore they have invested in a such platform that would launder money for them, which was a strategically good decision from a long-term perspective.

AMLBot was initially partnering with the current industry leader Elliptic to source their data and their reputation was good for the excellent data quality and simplified access, till Elliptic has decided to boot AMLBot for contractual violations and potentional money laundering facilitation, since AMLBot has started to provide a Telegram bot permitting the platform access anonymously (given that a Telegram account can be registered using disposable numbers provided by services such as "SMS-Activate" and then be used along with a Tor instance to obfuscate IP).
Once AMLBot have lost their possibility to resell Elliptic, their data quality has drastically reduced and their databases that they have built for themselves during the partnership with Elliptic stopped to be up-to-date because an absence of a reliable source.
Currently, their customers might spend 5 credits for an extended address check that shows all the coin sources and receive nothing as a result ("Unnamed entities"), while checking the same address using any other AML screening platform will provide proper categorization and results.

Since most big market players were aware of that incident, AMLBot was able to somehow survive only because of Bestchange, their close partner, doing most of promotion for them, since Bestchange actively push instant exchangers that wish to be listed to become AMLBot customers (basically insisting) and it seems Bestchange doesn't even consider results from other (and more reputable) AML/risk screening providers when there are disputes between exchangers and their customers within the AML/risk scope, which is a misleading practice on purpose.
Taking a look at AMLBot's customers shows that a considerable part of them are Bestchange long-term resident services, as laterly everybody who is old enough in the industry knows that AMLBot can't be taken seriously.

AMLBot is also known for doing gypsy tricks such as reducing score for some addresses if they were checked on their Telegram bot, therefore, if someone tells you that AML platforms do it, they mostly refer to AMLBot, since this is a nonsensical technique and isn't practiced by more reputable AML/risk screening providers whose customers are world-class LE agencies who need more precise results.

AMLBot is mostly popular within russian-speaking communities, since their close affiliation with Bestchange and providing a Telegram bot and the platform in russian. They were also a first platform to provide access to non-corporate individuals.

3. What are alternatives to AMLBot available to private individuals?

Today, there are many existing alternatives to AMLBot available to private individuals, since the ask for such platforms has increased with appearance of private individuals wanting to perform on-chain investigations.

Here is a list of such:

GetBlock https://getblock.net/en/
MistTrack (by SlowMist) https://misttrack.io
MetaSleuth https://metasleuth.io
Arkham https://platform.arkhamintelligence.com
TRM Labs https://www.trmlabs.com

Thanks to these, today we have many "on-chain sleuths" very popular at the crypto soymilk drinking twitter (see @zachxbt and @tayvano_ who are mad hack/exploit victims that turned into individual crypto detectives providing interesting insights from time to time).

Unfortunately, there is no way to use these platforms without associating your IP with address check results, however if you intend to check your own addresses there, I recommend checking third-party addresses as well to create entropy so there is no way to tell whose are belong to you.
Fortunately, there are residential IP proxy services that can be used in a combination with Tor to obfuscate your original IP address. Good residential proxies are not flagged by IP score screening systems...

Finally, there is another free and absolutely anonymous way to have your BTC checked for a risk score, however without getting categorization and risk score details - Wasabi Wallet's default coordinator (or shall we call it "official"?...). They use the AML/risk screening provider called Coinfirm to check submitted UTXOs for the risk score. UTXOs with a high risk score (that usually contain sources such as hacking/exploit/fraud/scam/etc) are rejected from the mixing round and get banned for 1 month from being submitted. If your BTC is what's considered "clean", it won't be rejected and you can withdraw it from a mixing round right before a start. This is a good way to ensure you have minimally "clean" BTC if you don't want to pay for checks or bother with registering on some platforms. This technique only works for checking your own funds. There is even a way to automate it, since they have an API.

"[...] Note: even though it originally came from an acronym, Tor is not spelled "TOR". Only the first letter is capitalized. In fact, we can usually spot people who haven't read any of our website (and have instead learned everything they know about Tor from news articles) by the fact that they spell it wrong."

I never used this AMBLBot (or any similar services) to check my Bitcoin addresses, and I didn't know AMLBot history up until now, but there was always something fishy about them.
It's sad that many people still use them to check addresses, maybe they are offering some basic free reports idk.

I would love to hear Bestchange side of the story, but I am still actively searching for good Bestchange alternative.
Maybe Orangefren (or someone else) will finally add best deals for cash to crypto trading offers and vice versa.

I will check them out.

There are options to hide ID addresses with Tor and VPN, but I am sure they keep all the records, especially if they are based in Five Eye countries.

You won't. First of all, because Bestchange we all knew and trusted 10-15 years ago isn't the same Bestchange today. After some certain events related to raids and arrests in the mid of the 2010 decade, Bestchange has given up their independency to FSB and it's now fully curated by law enforcement, hence new rules on their monitoring to only admit exchangers that gave up their identities via rigorous due diligence process and dedication to promote AMLBot. There are a lot of posts in the russian-speaking forum Bits Media made by Bestchange's account that already expose all that I talk about, so you certainly don't need to hear from them to find out all of this.

There were also attempts to dox our service by both Bestchange and AMLBot :-) I could even publish email conversations initiated by both of them but find it unnecessary to heat things up. There is a lot of far more important stuff to do for us instead of helping Bestchange digging their own grave.

Orangefren has all the potential to become a fully-featured Bestchange alternative, but I guess since most of instant exchangers are russians and ukrainians that operate in the scope of reselling Whitebit for crypto-crypto operations and targeting banking card on/offramping following the same AML/KYC terms and using the same site engine available for anyone to purchase, they are not really interested in the english-speaking segment. Most of them are copies of each other with a different branding. Very few listed on Bestchange operate with their own reserves and represent significance for this community.

but I am sure they keep all the records

Of course they do, they exist with a purpose to help LE and compete with each other to acquire as much as possible federal contracts. They are not here to help privacy-minded people.

However, is it possible for the english-speaking segment to be interested in those services instead? I mean, such exchangers still offer many features which are no longer available in the field where english-speaking segment operate the most. That is why they can refer to services, which have no such strict regulations, for now at least.

Just want to report that I got around to trying out exch.cx today and it worked exceptionally well.

Minus transaction/gas fees, the overall exchange had a fee of about 1%. The exchange itself was just about as 'instant' as it gets. The fact that no account is required is a definite plus.

Was surprised to see that this service has been around since 2014... coincidentally their forum account was registered on the same day as mine.

Will definitely be using exch.cx again in the future when quick swaps are required.

I agree with you, I wonder why this service isn't more popular around here: no KYC, no account required, nothing complicated. It's fast, cheap and reliable.
It's by far the most convenient exchange service I've used!

I hope OP will one day add USDT with the Polygon network, so I won't have to use less privacy-friendly services at all!  Smiley

I've found it helpful when I used it so I'd recommend it to ppl who are looking for a quick swap with a principled trusted name. I haven't used other services since my short post but I'll use it when I need. If there's sustained assuredness from reviewers more ppl will use it.

Will definitely be using exch.cx again in the future when quick swaps are required.

It's a reliable service. When you know there's no KYC it's another bonus reason to test out using small swaps. If ppl like the service they'll become regular users when they need swaps.

eXch simply adds normality in crypto space and help people use Bitcoin the way it was meant by Satoshi: in privacy and anonymously. We need more such services, in order for people to become aware of their existence and, slowly, leave behind centralized exchanges.

There is no need to give away your personal information while using crypto, since (1) it was not meant for that and (2) you can do what you need in full anonymity.

However, the fact that OP became more active on the forum, the fact that this exchange operates for many years already, the good reviews received from forum users -- all these will help eXch earn more popularity, earn more users and these users will also spread the word to others and so on. Things are moving and, after many years, they are moving on a good path. There is still hope that more and more users will start preserving their privacy and will take full control over their money.

Yes, no kyc, they also don't log ip addresses, no cooperation with LE, newbie-friendly and eXch also has its own liquidity, like i said in my review on this service some weeks ago: if the coins you want to swap is supported by this instant exchange, there is no reason why you should not use them. I hope eXch grows faster and gets to the knowledge of bitcoiners who want to preserve their privacy, because this is one of the tools or services they should use frequently for that purpose.

Sorry for the late reply, but I did not see your post until now. My bad.

[...] (1) would you like to have your topic translated in more foreign languages?
Yes, but not in a form of having our official original post translated, however not excluding this option. Ideally it should be independent community threads with personal thread design preferences.

I don't know if composing new threads in foreign languages is an easy thing o do. However, having the topic translated (as it is) in other languages and posted in various local boards can lead to discussions about the service. If you want, I can help you with the Romanian translation and talk also with a few other translators to see if they would like to translate OP in their language. Sounds good?

eXch simply adds normality in crypto space and help people use Bitcoin the way it was meant by Satoshi: in privacy and anonymously. We need more such services, in order for people to become aware of their existence and, slowly, leave behind centralized exchanges.
I want so see more kyc free exchanges that work with fiat/cash.
We have only few options right now like Bisq exchange or Peach bitcoin, but they all have some limitations, so I can see some new services filling this gaps.

Yes, no kyc, they also don't log ip addresses
I wouldn't blindly trust anyone who is saying that IP addresses are not saved somewhere, so I suggest that you always use Tor browser and official eXch exchange onion link.
This improves overall privacy and it makes it much harder for anyone to track what you are doing online.

I agree with you, I wonder why this service isn't more popular around here: no KYC, no account required, nothing complicated. It's fast, cheap and reliable.
Because they are new to trying marketing here using a signature campaign, I believe if they do it at the same time as launching the website, they will get more new customers as same as today. But, I think It was also difficult at that time (2014) because massive centralization exchange just expanded. Their challenges will be much greater than today because the people just know if want to exchange cryptocurrency using the traditional exchange (centralization) only.

The decentralization exchange today is very appropriate because many people have been disappointed using centralization exchange because the account frozen, the money was taken away by the owner, and KYC data leak.

The eXch has priority for privacy, the User addresses cannot be tracked easily, this fits perfectly at the moment because that's what the user wants.

They may not look so popular here on this forum but apparently outside this forum they indeed are, judging by their volume:

It seems some people in this space remember their service and still trust it, so do I, because I personally remember using this service when they were providing instant Perfect Money to BTC exchanges somewhere back in 2015 and that their Perfect Money trust score was extremely high (something that would require enormous amount of complete deals). Maybe I will find some screenshots on my old drive and post here.

I also doubt they were caring about making tons of promotions when relaunching here since it appears they were confident that this kind of service is rare and will have a lot of ask.

Congrats and welcome back to you, eXch.cc, since you have apparently made it. Hope the forum admins will help you to rename the account.

I have used eXch now for two times to switch BTC to XMR and vice versa. It worked flawlessly both times as expected.
Clear and easy to use interface-> fast -> no KYC -> and small fees.

I must admit that I have first read about eXch here on Bitcointalk forum. Otherwise I would have used the service earlier.

I believe that the forum is still the fastest and easiest way to find out about new or updated services. It is much more convenient to search here then just google it and wade through the multitude of results in search of what really interests you.

I think this is subjective because you are here and thousands of people have probably never even heard of this iconic place. I also do not agree that Bitcointalk is the best way to learn about something new... if I may, I would rephrase it in the spirit of “Bitcointalk is the best way to learn about some reliable and trusted service.” In the end, my opinion is also subjective.  Roll Eyes
