Adding Doge adds the risk of someone exchanging a load of Doge for Bitcoin right before a price drop, making eXch a Doge bag holder. I wouldn't want to run that risk.

ACtually, all those coins (LTC and ETH and even XMR) lost value against Bitcoin over the past 5 years or so.
Except for DOGE, which is becoming valuable each year (even considering bitcoin price)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but unlike today's meme-shitcoins, DOGE has community support that no meme coin will ever have - and I remember when I first started collecting them on faucets back in 2014 - the price it was not expressed as 1 DOGE = $ but as 1000 DOGE = 0.14 $. My DOGE that I never sold are worth a small fortune today - and 99% of all meme coins today won't exist in 10 years.

As for the pump, most altcoins follow BTC, and I don't see that the current price of DOGE has anything to do with the person you mention - he has much more important tasks than pumping any coin.

DOGE is currently 80% dependent on what Elon says about it. Before that, (around 2019) it was really miserable, being bought for 14 satoshi's. One of the important advantages it had as one of the oldest was that it was listed on all exchanges and with very cheap transactions.

I agree with LoyceV, DOGE is not the best choice for an exchange that operates exclusively with its own funds so in case of a big price drop, you have to wait for Elon Musk's new tweet to reduce the loss.

I didn't saw eXch announcing anything about adding any new coins, and I would never waste time running sol node, that crap breaks all the time.
Only reason for adding new coins for most of the people would be some alternative for stable coins, and that is it.

A lot of similarly useless memcoins and shitcoins have had their price rise against the dollar. Like XRP which many people keep talking about these days. That is not exactly their pump, it is the indirect effect of bitcoin price rising up. And it happens every time.

Musk's influence on DOGE was some pumps here and there which were followed by dumps. The rest of the rise in $$$ price is the consequence of bitcoin rising as I explained.

I think most of the users will prefer to convert into USDT using tron network (trc20) because it saves a lot of fee. It won't be feasible to convert to USDT on ETH if the amount is less as there is will lot of tx fee involved in moving the USDT on the Ethereum network.

USDC is quitting Tron by February 2025, DAI is Ethereum only, other stablecoins are either scam or potential scam. I understand this concern and also watched that video but i don't understand one thing, If tether is a potential scam, it is irrelevant if you have USDT on Ethereum chain or Trc20 chain. In case of any mishap with tether, the ones having USDT on erc20 chain wouldn't make much difference than those having it on other chains.

I think most of the users will prefer to convert into USDT using tron network (trc20) because it saves a lot of fee. It won't be feasible to convert to USDT on ETH if the amount is less as there is will lot of tx fee involved in moving the USDT on the Ethereum network.

maybe in the past, but now the fees are almost the same if you are burning TRX for energy, maybe a bit lower. (except when ETH fees spike for a while)
but i do think adding USDT on tron would help increase the liquidity, as most of the time it's low, and you need to wait longer to complete an exchange.

I think he understood it correctly. The reply suggests that Tether is a risky coin and/or a potential scam, and that's a completely valid concern. Everything about Tether is shady, and while people have been saying that it would burst soon, it somehow managed to survive for years. Still, that doesn't make it any less risky, so not wanting to support a whole new network for a risky coin like USDT is, IMO, good reasoning.

The other question we should ask is, how many people use Tether and care about privacy? Will having USDT on TRX20 eXch be of any real value? I doubt it.

Regardless of which network, USDT has nothing to do with privacy. TRX20 is being pushed as a possibility only for reasons of lower fees. ERC20 can sometimes be quite expensive to transfer

Speaking about Tether, it is not out of place to remind that they decided to discontinue several networks.
