Hi Devs,
Would it be possible to make a post on 3 different possible Masternodes specifications and then we make a vote ?
Is this already in plan ?
I'd like to add my input on the numbers but I don't how much the devs are aiming for, for the masternodes payout. I'd assume they'd want 2% of the coin cap from their model. I'd go as far as 10-20% with a larger amount of OC required per Mnode, like 10k, but only if they choose options B or C of my scenarios. I haven't checked these numbers, Idk if they would work. The fees/prices associated with the free year at amazon hosting AFTER the free year becomes like another electric bill. There are so many options to choose from, and have no idea how much data 1 Mnode would use. Need to know what data package we'd need (per operating system) to buy or if we could just re-sign up with a new account and get another free year. Is it contracted 1 free year for like a 5 year contract? Who's got experience with this who can answer? It is the "t1.micro" which is free for the first year and then $60 for a 1 year term or $100 for a 3 year term

Hi Devs,

Let me start with my goal as a Dev for Orangecoin. "To get you more out of Orangecoin" I can done this 2 ways either add more coins to your wallet at near the same price or add more value to each coin in your wallet. Yes we can both but one will suffer as the other raises. What I mean is this 20% is great PoS however I'm sure you don't want to hear this but it hurts the coins price. The more coins you make the less coins you have to buy. The less coins you buy the lower the price stays. Now this is a great thing for early investors!! because you bought when the price was low. I don't want to cut the PoS so much that it changes Orangecoin way too much, however any change at all may be way too much in some one out there's eyes. We just have to all know that no matter what the community decides there will be some one verbal or not that is upset with the choose. Is there a way to do this that will make most of the stake holders happy? I'm sure of it!! We what to hear from every one out there either public or PM, so we can better choose on what you all have to say!! I do like the vote idea but it's not that it would be to hard to do, but to do it right is a major job. You all here need to know that while bitcointalk is great we will not be getting everyone's voice. No matter how long we wait or how inviting/privet we make the vote. And while a vote is great we would have to do it like a share holders meeting. Meaning we would have to have everyone prove there size of the stake they hold and weigh their vote based on that % of stake. With that said, does everyone have an equal voice? YES!!

I personnaly think we can reduce the POS.
We could maybe decide to bring it down directly to:
- 1st Year: 10% Pos+2,5% Mnodes
- 2nd Year : 5% Pos+2,5%Mnodes
- 3rd year and over: 2,5% Pos + 2,5% Mnodes

That well only manage 1 node but I'm still looking in to maximizing amazon's "Free" offer. What I mean is it says -750 hours of EC2 running Linux/Unix Micro instance usage -750 hours of EC2 running Microsoft Windows Server Micro instance usage So I want to see if we can get you guys a linux and a windows for free? Because if so then we will be able to have 2 for free, i can do this with code but not sure if Amazon means only 1 free either Linux OR Windows

ok cool. thanks for clarifying. I have created a poll in the OCS.info forum so our community can properly vote or express themselves there as well. I urge everyone to vote. https://orangecoins.info/forum/index.php?topic=169.new#new

A coin reduction would be ok for me. It brings more worth to the coin. Dont know technical if minting after year 3 isnt necessary? What do masternodes get after year 3?

I think cryptoba has just introduced in this discussion a radical coinamount stortage model. At this point of coinmanagment, where numers and specs change, discussable too I find. Look at Silk Coin for them it was a pretty good deal until now.

Thought: reducing the coin cap could answer the problem of PoS earnings loss by making everyone's coins worth more for holders AND for the '2000 OC' buy-in or whatever they choose to make it.

I think to short a few numbers up will make OC much more attractive.
The value of OC will grow with new POS rates and a new 84 Mio coin capacity. If, you think 8 Years is too short we can play with the rates to get a few more years. Still, I assume it will be more than 8 Years as not all coins will be staking.
I think it could be a nice fresh new structure for OC and we make a nice communication on the new numbers and the masternodes.
