Extremehash.com has been updated, welcoming more miners to mine at our pool!

More new things to come, stay tuned, be safe!
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The continued lifting of Monero to new heights in the voting list is inspirational!

To support your loyal community we decided to create an original and recognizable image. It needs a name, and it's up to you to come up with something suitably memorable for the guy! Grin
Monero is now in the top 10 and your active voting will most likely put it in the lead sooner or later.
The "hitbtc" team https://hitbtc.com/vote

Name: Moonero?

The guy does look like Luke  to me, so my vote is for Luke the Moonshot.

I approve Luke.

I think people should read a few of these from the start to finish then decide if XMR-Monero is a good investement:

Monero ANN : https : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.0

Shortlist :

Missives 1 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg7098497#msg7098497
Missives 2 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg7241339#msg7241339
Missives 3 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg7386715#msg7386715

Monero Economy : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=597878.0
Open Source Pool Bounty : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=589533.0
Wolf's XMR/BCN/MNT Miner : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632724.0 (Cant find the link for Lucas Jones)
Bounty for Open-Sourced XMR/Cryptonight GPU Miner : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656841.0
Bytecoin [BCN] vs MONERO [XMR] : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=665950.0

Then go through the peoples profiles that are involved in XMR :
Tacotime : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=19270
rpietela : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=68520
aminorex : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148855
David Latapie : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=81999
GreekBitcoin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=26690

Theres one more link if someone can post about the Collaboration Code Review from Github on all the fixes and tweaks to the code

That is just off the top of my head, we all know that Cryptonote coins are fairly young and there will be issues but nothing imo that is worrying.

Haters going to hate ..

Bitmonerod is maxing out my upstream bandwidth (800kbps).  Is there a way to limit this?

Between abysmal English writing skills and blind fanaticism I doubt it isn’t obvious to anyone what these guys are trying to achieve so hard. All in all, I don’t believe this abjection is worth the $500 those greedy bastards paid me, so here I submit to your court a list of the serfs who were under my submission, trying to impose a genuine interest in a lousy fork under my vigilant eye:

Are you saying I am your sock puppet?  Huh

Did the same pumpers who hired you the first time pay you to write this because they're now dumping?

Oh hi there, Dave! Or is it Carol who's posting today? How's your payment this month?

I'll buy in when it hits .002 or lower. That's pretty much inevitable with this inflation.

Hey Darkcoin bag holder, how about your Monero buy order at 0.001  Grin Grin

I'd consider a few BTC worth at .001. It'll be there soon with this inflation.

I said or lower. Monero has a few fundamental problems, but it's still (a distant) second best. According to Anonymint CN coins are DOA, but like I said, it's a hedge.

I'd rather pay .01 once I know the bloat is fixed, than .001 when it's still unknown whether it can be solved.
Anonymint said it cannot, but I'll keep watching. Either way, once it drops I'll reassess the situation. I'm not just referring to the pool bloat, but the denomination bloat. Refer to Anonymint's post history.

Just a lesson, if you want to troll in the future, you sholdn't use a new sockpuppet account and also you should, maybe, just maybe, inform yourself

Perhaps I am too new to the altcoin universe but the level of actual FUD recently is fascinating to me.  There seems to be a few folks intent on damaging this projects reputation as much as possible and through some of the most outlandish means I could imagine.  The twitter account was fairly left field for example.

Do other alts get similar attention?

FUD increases with market cap, I've found. More value means more envy.

Bloat is the price for anonimity in terms of cryptonote algorithm. Itself, is not so a big problem, I believe devs reduce it to reasonable level. The most problem is I have to restart bitmonerod time to time, it still buggy & uses 'boost'. Devs are working on replacing it by 'leveldb'. With leveldb terabytes are not a problem. Also, terabyte SSDs are coming to the market.

So I think, the only issue is for Monero devs to work on bugs, work accurately and subsequently, like a fluffy pony Smiley
